+ 0 moreMy telephone call was returned within 30 minutes and he was here within an hour. Within two and a half hours, of my initial call, the service I needed was complete. Wow! I was thinking it would be two or three days before I'd get it done - not two to three hours! Very Impressed!

Description of Work: I contacted Vintage Carpentry on Mar 23, 2014 by email for installing some wall cabinets in my 2 bathrooms. Ed from Vintage responded by email on Mar 24. So I talked to him by phone and he came by and looked at my bathrooms. He said he will give me an estimate later. That was the last time I talked to him. He did not respond even after I sent him multiple emails. The lst email I sent him was on Arp. 4. I finally gave up and found somebody else (In case you are interested, I found Expertwoodworking in Redwood City). |If he did not want the job, he should have told me upfront, instead of wasting a month of my time. |

Description of Work: I used the locksmiths service of Vintage Carpentry Inc. We had all of our locks in one key so we don't have to carry several.

+ -1 moreThe knob on the door from my garage into my home jammed unexpectedly causing the knob on both sides to behave as if it was locked. I discovered this at 6 pm on a Friday evening. I called the listed phone number and Ed responded even though it was past normal hours. He recognized my dilemma and interrupted his dinner to come over and get the mechanism out so I could use the door. He picked up the replacement part and, because of my schedule, he returned on Monday afternoon to complete the repair. I was impressed with his responsiveness, his professional behavior, his friendly demeanor, his willingness to accommodate my schedule, and his very reasonable charge. I will certainly call him again for any similar work and, based on this experience, intend to also contact him for a couple of furniture restoration items. I am very comfortable recommending Vintage Carpentry of San Carlos.
Description of Work: Removed broken door knob locking mechanism on interior door to garage, obtained a replacement mechanism and installed it.
