"Just 2 years after Astoria Construction replaced wood siding and painted, the paint on the walls was flaking off! An experienced painting contractor informed me that only one coat of paint had been applied to my new wood siding! I hired this painter to scrape, sand, prime and apply 2 coats of paint to my siding. Astoria Construction through negligence has cost me additional expenses. Professional exterior painting lasts for many years. Astoria Construction is not a painting contractor! Home Advisor/Angi should not recommend them as such."

"My siding project took seven weeks for a 1800 sqft feet house. The siding area is about 3500 sq ft. Ben is easy to communicate and the quote was reasonable among other contractors. Golden State builder group is not the cheapest one, but Ben attitude in discussion about the problem helped me to decide. I overlooked that the cost of fixing dry rot and their skill in handling the retrofit window. Later after they have removed the old siding, they started submitting the change orders. it was very costly while the work was not done correctly initially, another change was submitted. Their worker cannot handle the retrofit window as he promised, also the siding work broken the house as we can see nail on the dry wall from inside. Ben is still very nice and patient but I feel that his workers do not have the skill and the price is way to high. Unfortunately I will not recommend Golden State builder group to others. I will go with other more experienced and honest builder."
