They did an excellent job in the measuring, cutting and installation of the quartz countertop. The Project Coordinator, Nicolette, was excellent to work with on the initial quote and options. She accommodated numerous schedule delays due to issues not related to the countertop itself. The installation crew was friendly and did a very nice job.
Description of Work: Installation of new quartz countertop on top of new cabinets & sink area along with installing of an undermount sink.

They were really great. The coordinator, Diana, was really good. She was on it and got back to me quickly. She good about following up and The installers and the fabricators were great as well. They didn't have a large, fashionable showroom, but they knew what they doing. I have an older house with odd angles, and they were able fit it very well. They worked well with my contractor. They made it as painless as possible. Every time I look at my kitchen, I'm happy. They were very patient about answering all my questions.
Description of Work: I selected countertops from their showroom and they came to my house and installed them.

They offered a great selection and a good price for purchase and installation of granite kitchen counter tops. I don’t remember how much the estimate was. They were very punctual and professional. I would like to use them in future.
Description of Work: MARBLE CITY gave me an estimate a couple of weeks ago for purchase and installation of kitchen counter tops. However, they did not do any work for me.

We selected the granite slabs at Marble City's supplier. There was a large selection and we selected two slabs that we liked. Marble City purchased them from the supplier (MSI in Hayward). We were reusing existing cabinets and adding a new island. Although we had dimensioned drawings for the island and its countertop and no template was needed (or made), Marble City wouldn't template the remaining cabinets until the island was on-site. This delayed the project 2 weeks as the countertops could have been fabricated in parallel with the cabinets, rather than sequentially. The install was originally promised for 10 working days after templating. It was actually 12 working days. The island countertop was the wrong size (too wide and wrong shape). It violated Marble City's design rules (15" unsupported overhang vs. 12" maximum for 3cm material). The installers shifted it 1/2" so the overhang was 14-1/2" and said it was OK. They didn't follow the drawing and didn't make a template. When this was brought to their attention, Vladimir was very responsive to remove, recut, and reinstall it. The problem was resolved promptly and is now fine. The fabrication was first rate and the only seam is barely detectable. Edges and corners as requested. All the appointments were on-time and everyone was neat, clean, and pleasant.
Description of Work: Furnish, fabricate, and install kitchen countertops (3 pieces) for a remodel. Two pieces were for existing cabinets and one for a new (simple, rectangular) island cabinet.

Excellent. They use 1-1/4 inch granite slabs instead of using 3/4" and doubling up the front edge, so they're both thicker throughout and don't have a seam in front; yet their prices are totally competitive with pre-cut granite pieces. (We looked at prefab pieces at another company, and the hard sell there felt like a hustle.) The counter looks great, feels extremely solid, and I feel like I got a terrific value for my money. We worked with Jay Henderson, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and not at all pushy the way the pre-fab sales guy at the other company was. I highly recommend talking to Jay if you're thinking about granite counter tops. Also, don't let the name Marble City fool you-- they actually have a much larger selection of Granite than they do marble.
Description of Work: Fabricated and installed a new Labrador Gold granite counter top (approx 32 square feet) with one sink cut-out in the kitchen.

I worked with MC's salesman, Jay, to select the granite and the pricing of the job. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. After the sale, I worked with Vladimir to get my countertops made and installed. Chris arrived on the scheduled day to demolish the old countertops and do the template. He worked diligently to remove the existing countertops and backsplash. He kept the area fairly clean and vacuumed. He took measurements and made templates. He also took my sink with him to the fabrication site so an exact cut could be made since he said sometimes the metal isn't uniform. I went to MC the next afternoon to do the layout. I went into the office but no one was to be found. I went around back to the fabrication area and found Boris who worked with me to do the layout. Boris mentioned that there might need to be a seam in the granite in the area for the sink. This was upsetting because I had been told that a single piece of the slab would be used for that area of my countertop and that no seam would be necessary. Boris said that they would do their best to not have a seam. I also called later and talked with Vladimir about the issue and he basically said what Boris had told me. I told Vladimir that I hadn't used pre-fab because I didn't want a seam. He just said that they would do their best not to have a seam. The day of the installation was set about two weeks after the layout. Three workers arrived about an hour earlier than I'd been told they would-fine with me. They placed drop cloths and began their work. The granite color is beautiful and there was no seam! The work went quickly even with the guys taking a quick break for lunch. Any questions that I had were readily answered.
Description of Work: Company sold me the granite slab, performed demolition of my existing kitchen countertops, fabricated and installed granite countertops in my kitchen.

They were extremely knowledgeable. I worked with a young man by the name of Jay Henderson in sales and he exhibited overall expertise in the configuration & installation of the granite countertop. The granite itself protruded a little into the stove but within a 24 hour time period, they came back out & fine tuned their work. We would use them again in the future.

We visited Marble City after visiting several other granite yards. We were drawn to them because of their thicker 3cm slabs. We were free to look over their selection of slabs at our leisure and then were invited to get a quote from the owner Andrei Gourji. The quote was a detailed listing of each of the 4 granite grades (A-D) with pricing for each and pricing for each edge option. The grades of the granite were clearly marked so we instantly knew what each would cost. We then worked with Jay on selecting the perfect slabs for us. They moved the slabs and positioned them so we could see the differences. Jay was immensely helpful and met with us several times to narrow down our selection. Their templater showed up on time and performed the templating in a timely fashion. The installation crew also showed up on time, completed the job to our satisfaction left everything neat and tidy. The fabrication job is beautiful and we have just one seam in the entire job.
Description of Work: Marble City installed 60 sq. ft. of Grade D (higher end) granite on an island and counters. Marble City is a one stop granite shop. They worked directly with us in giving us a quote for each grade of granite early in the process. That quote included the granite slabs, the templating, fabrication and installation of the slabs. (Quote can also be obtained from their website). They import their own stones and do all their own templating, fabrication and installations.

Marble City is an excellent company to work with. They guarantee their work and the counter top. They even came in and finished the job ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They did take out the old counter top and dispose of it. The counter top is absolutely beautiful.
