LPC ENTERPRISES

Description of Work: Although Diamond Certified and A Rated BBB, the hard wood floors that LPC Enterprises refinished in my home are far from acceptable. Sanding marks are visible under the urethane finish, which has bubbles and debris sealed under and on top of the surface. They applied four coats, contrary to the product literature of the urethane on top of an oil base stain (contrary to the urethane product literature). The final coat was a previously "catalyzed" (also contrary to the product literature) semi-gloss that left the surface soft, dull, milky, slippery and very unacceptable. They also failed to mask off the painted walls and baseboards while applying stain and the urethane finish. I asked them to remove the unwanted stain and coating, which they did, but they used scrapers and removed the paint from the walls and baseboards as well. They chipped and damaged my kitchen cabinets with their equipment. They used a liquid product and scrapers to remove heavy-duty double stick carpet tape from the family room floor. In using the product to remove the tape from the floor, they had splashed it on the green leather couch; chair and foot stool leaving white spots on the finish. Although they were to move the dining room furniture back into position from the living room and move the family room furniture into the living room to start refinishing the family room, I told them to remove their equipment from my house. Their refinishing job of the kitchen, dining room, and entryway was finished and they were not going to touch the family room. They were surprised that I said no when they asked if they could fix it. They asked if I wanted my money back, I said no, I would be in touch. |Almost a comedy of errors, that just seemed to snowball throughout the process. |They were personable, punctual and professional, but perhaps they chose the wrong product to permeate my premises. |Now, after being out of the kitchen for seven days, I have to find someone to redo the redone floors, paint the walls and the baseboards, and clean the leather furniture.
