It took about 2 months and he just sent me the final bill not realizing the job is not done yet. The cabinet door has not been installed and a final coat has to be painted on the front door. I was able to use the kitchen most of the time--so I think that took the time pressure off. His workers were all nice, but I don't think the top guys were on the job, especially the plumbing, which is okay, if someone came and checked up on them. I was at work all day but only saw the business owner when he came out to bid the job - $10,000 although the front door was added. I did talk to him often and he was aware about how things were going. I was upset about two things that they did without asking me - installing the disposal in the left sink instead of the right sink next to the dishwasher(I had told him at the beginning of the job I wanted it on the right sink) and putting white switch plates on my new black tiles without asking--or course they charged me to change them to black ones. I called them because I had used Camper Construction satisfactorily about 8 years ago. After I hired them, the new owner, Rick, admitted, Steve Camper, the previous owner, had had to retire due to an aneurism. My main problem was the price. The work was adequate and they fixed things I pointed out. The job did take a while but I added things as we went along. They also left half the demolished debris on the side of my house for the 2 months it took to do the job. I had redone a small kitchen before and it probably cost a third this much--though it had tile counter top, no dishwasher or stove installation, but included new floor and kitchen cabinets,
Description of Work: I had a small kitchen redone-backsplash, granite countertop, replace electric oven and stove top with gas stove, install combo microwave/stove vent (they had to vent through a cabinet up into attic) replace dishwasher--I bought the appliances, granite, tile, sink, faucets, so I basically paid them for labor and supplies. Also painted front door and screen (I provided paint and primer) and added a cabinet door entrance to kitchen cabinet through the family room. Floor was not replaced or refrigerator. Also replaced 2 bathroom faucets which I bought. They refinished the cabinets, added a thin pull out cabinet and a heavy duty drawer where the stove top had been--this was over the $10k estimate I was originally given.

Rick the owner has great attention to detail and has high standards. He was great when we were wrapping up the project and he was noticing fixes that I was too tired to catch. The crew showed up every day and work went faster than I expected. A bit longer than he projected (6 weeks) but less than I imagined (12 weeks).
Description of Work: TR Camper presented me with a reasonable bid to remodel my kitchen and dining room. I had used them for some plumbing repair and knew they were good plumbers. A whole kitchen was a leap of faith.

Great experience from start to finish.
Description of Work: A plumber from TR Camper came out and redid some kitchen drainage issues and installed some new faucets. It was quite a bit of work, seemed complicated to me. They came out right away, very professional crew and worked straight through to get the job done. No surprises on the bill.
