With two bay area locations...our mission at California Carpet has been to be the Bay Area's leading floor covering retailer by providing more of what you, our customers, are looking for. That begins with selection, service and price - but it doesn't end there. It has to include trust, and we have worked hard over the years to earn yours. We carry a number of eco-friendly products and also work hard with all of our suppliers to make sure that they are using environmentally sound practices in the manufacturing of their carpet, rugs and hard surface flooring. We are proud to say that almost every vendor is actively working to improve their carbon footprint. Additionally, California Carpet now recycles every bit of the carpet we remove from your home when we install new carpet. From pads, to fibers, it all gets recycled and processed for reuse. Our partnership with Borgata Recycling allows us to deliver this benefit to the planet and our customers.

Description of Work: With the help of Michael, in the San Francisco store, I found a Karistan wall to wall on sale. He really helped me decide what would work in my space. An exceptional salesman. The estimator was also very good---super experienced and gave us good advice. The installers were terrific--on time, exceptionally hardworking and did a beautiful job.

Description of Work: Disaster. After several attempts to refinish floors, the hardwoods were ruined and had to be replaced. The job was supposed to be done in three and one-half weeks and took over three months. The job was to be done with "dust-free" vortex method, but because of the number of sandings, there was an enormous amount of dust. They offered to replace the floors with new pre-fab flooring in an old Victorian. We had to hire another company to replace the destroyed floors at a cost of over $30,000. The company has not been willing to reimburse us for their mistakes.

VERY PROFESSIONAL IN HELPING SELECTING THE CARPET AND PADDING AS WELL AS MEASUREMENT OF THE HOUSE. THE TEAM THAT LAID THE CARPET WAS PUNCTUAL AND CLEANED UP AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED.

THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL. THE COST WAS FAR LESS THAN CARPET OF THE SAME QUALITY AND STYLE ELSEWHERE. THE TIME TO PRODUCE THE AREA RUG WAS REASONABLE. THE SUBCONTRACTED INSTALLERS WERE PROFESSIONAL. I WAS VERY HAPPY OVERALL WITH THE EXPERIENCE.
