It went really well! They came right out to give a quote, then were able to start the job the next week. Ramon was the lead guy doing the work, he did an excellent job and the craftsmanship of the stairs and gate are beautiful and amazing quality. Communication was excellent and the quote was exactly what we paid. Again, we are super impressed with the high quality of work, and affordable price. Would highly recommend them :)

Our experience with Marsh was excellent. Actually, our neighbors found them for work with shared fence(s), happy they did. We then called and added additional work. From the call, to scheduling the estimator to come out last minute, scheduling the actual job, keeping in contact, promptness and working through, to finishing the job, every step was consistent and smooth as possible. Will definitely use Marsh again and recommend to others.

The price was good. They did an excellent job building the fence, a back fence. They did it quickly because the guy behind us had chickens coming into our yard. It worked out perfectly. They got it as high as they could get it. They just did a really good job and quick.

Within about a month they had some guys come out to perform the work. They showed up on time and got the job done within a day. The work was great and the gates matched a fence we already had up. It was great working with Marsh Fence and Deck. I called them thinking I would have to replace my fence, as the wooden posts were rotten at ground level and the fence was leaning precariously and had been that way for some time. There were also some areas that needed the bottom horizontal pieces replaced as well. I finally bit the bullet to get it the whole thing replaced, and Angie's List led me to call Marsh Fence and Deck as they have an A+ rating. Once Dave the estimator came out and took a look he said they could easily fix the fence if I'd rather have that done, and it would be inexpensive and the fixes would last many more years. I took him up on the offer and his workers came out in about a week and spent 1/2 day on the fence and it is now totally stable and secure. For the post repair they set the fence level, then dug down deep right next to the existing posts (which were rotten at the ground level but OK above that) and placed new, larger posts right next to the old ones, set them in new concrete, then bolted them to the old ones. In another section of the fence the small horizontal strips that keep the vertical boards in place had rotted away due to the sprinklers, so they removed the rotten wood and put in new strips to hold the boards as good as new. I really appreciate that Marsh was able to do this work and saved me the money I would have needed to spend on a whole new fence. Such a relief. They did a great job and whole experience could not have been better.

From estimate to project completion, everything went smoothly. The estimate was fair and the team of workers were fast and efficient. They completed the job in a day and cleaned up everything very well. I would definitely recommend them to others and I'll probably use them for a deck that I need built in the future.

Super fast (2 days for a big job like this). Workmanship is excellent. There was a crew of 7 on Day 1, and I coludn't believe what they had accomplished in 6 hours! A crew of 4 came in on Day 2 and finished the cleanly. We had a small party on our brand new deck by that evening! I can't say enough of the crew that worked on this project. You can tell that they work regularly together. We could tell that there were two master carpenters, and the rest of the crew was also quite competent. They were punctual, respectful of our wishes, and flexible with our requests. They worked so hard, fast and clean. Again, I can't say enough about the quality of workmanship. The entire experience - from getting a quote, scheduling the work, and getting the project done - was so easy. And really: the price for this kind of work and experience is absolutely right. Excellent craftsmanship. The whole experience was a positive one from the initial call, estimate, and install. The owner coordinates the date of the work to be done and was very accommodating when my work schedule required a change or two. The workers were efficient and super skilled. They had great instincts and gave good advice about some final details. The arbor, for example, totally exceeded anything I could have hoped for. Subtle details he added really made it a sight to behold. I was originally going to have roses or jasmine over the arbor, but now it's so attractive I'm leaving it as-is! It totally finishes off the yard now! They replaced a front gate that was added in a rush at the end of original construction and always looked bulky. After a couple of boards split, I decided to replace it. Marsh designed the new gate, including narrowing it a bit so it didn't sweep through so much of the garden, and built it with details that made it meld right in with the adjacent fence. Looks wonderful---just like it should have from the get go. Thanks to Marsh, now it does! Top notch!!

Good quality work, with nice cleanup. Originally they were going to do a helper post for the gate post, but determined they it would be best to replace the post instead, but did not charge additional. The estimator was prompt, and provided the estimate on the spot. They were able to schedule within a week.

The team was excellent, timely and professional. Their bid came it the lowest of three estimates, and they did an amazing job. They completed the entire job over the course of three days. First they removed our old hot tub and hauled it away, and replaced the decking underneath and around the hot tub with redwood boards (about 200 square feet). We have almost 300 feet of fencing around our house which needed to be replaced. They removed the old fencing and replaced it with beautiful redwood boards (mostly board on board) with 1 foot lattice on top. They also replaced a very large double gate (9 feet), and two smaller single gates. The gates work perfectly and look great! The estimator and I had discussed a few items which did not get passed on to the work crew. When I discussed these with the crew chief, he made all the requested changes without any problem. Working with Marsh Fence & Deck Co. was a pleasure, and I'd use them again in a minute!

Competitive price and a very standard installation. They worked well with the next door neighbor during the demo and install work and were basically a courteous group of people. A very basic pre-stained white cedar board on board style fence. John, the owner, gave me a quote the same day I explained the project. He had his team over the same week I accepted his proposal.

John came out to do the estimate in December and I was finally ready for him to do the fence in April. He was very prompt with setting up the estimate and it was done within a few days of me calling. I couldn't be present, so they left the estimate in my mailbox, like I asked. My neighbor and I split the cost, so it was about $1,000 each. Again, he was very prompt with getting the time set up to put in the fence. They came out and tore down the old fence. They hauled away the material too. They put in new concrete for the posts. The install was very quick. All the work was done on the same day. The fence is redwood and looks nice on both sides. My neighbor had them put lattice on the top of one of her side fences so it matches the new fence a bit better. I'm very happy with their service. Professional, prompt, quick and they delivered exactly what we wanted. I plan on using them when I replace my front fence. My neighbor is also pleased with their service and told me she plans on using him in the future as well. I also like that they are a local company. I definitely recommend them. I'm hoping I can post some pictures on here.

My neighbor and I had a total of three estimates for the work and the Marsh estimate was in the middle. We chose Marsh Fence and Deck because I was impressed with John?s professionalism in comparison to the low bidder. My neighbor and I scheduled the installation a couple of weeks later. His crew showed up on time and completed the demolition of the old fence and installed the new fence and gates the same day. The crew was easy to work with and cleaned up the work area as the work progressed. My neighbor and I were both very happy with the results. In fact, my neighbor called Marsh Fence to do additional work on her property and I have asked John Marsh to estimate another stretch of redwood fence on my property.
