Description of Work: I made arrangements with Paul for him to come to my house to check on my silk tree's health and to trim it. After sending a photo via text, he gave me an estimate for the trimming. We made arrangements for him to visit in two weeks because his schedule was booked but also because his truck was in the shop. On the day of the appointment, he was a no-show. I waited for a half-hour and then called to see if he was on hin way. He was at home and after we spoke a little, he started to remember me. He said he had a fire in his garage about two weeks prior and some of his equipment was destroyed. We talked a little and it did not become clear to me why my appointment wasn't in his phone or on some other calendar or why he couldn't reconstruct his appointments. He had my phone number because I had texted him and he could have called to reschedule. We started ending the call and he said he still wanted to do the job because he needed the work. I told him I would have to think about it and would get back to him if I decided to proceed. After consideration, I decided not to use his services. I am sympathetic to his circumstances but that he didn't seem to have written my appointment down and therefore didn't know about it is the kind of unprofessionalism that I really dislike. I would have had no problem if he needed to reschedule a little bit because of the fire if he had called me after it had occurred. It's too bad. He seemed like a nice guy.

Description of Work: Paul and his assistant worker carved a large yucca base root away from a wall in my backyard.

Description of Work: Extensively pruned huge ash tree, planted large, new crape myrtle, picked apples from big, old Granny Smith tree, put gopher bait in new gopher tunnels, advised on various fruit trees, apples, peaches, and citrus, and identified mystery tree. Advised on soil improvement and landscaping for my area. They brought their own chipper and hauled everything away, but offered me the chipped wood to use for mulch if I wanted.
