I contacted Ongaro & Sons. They were very helpful and prompt in completing the job.

Jared came to meet with us and immediately diagnosed the problem and proposed a solution. He proposed to install two return pipes and a small water heater as a reservoir for hot water. The office took some time to schedule the work as they are busy. But when Jared was able to come, his team did the work within proposed time frame and now there is consistent hot water in the house.

Great, showed up the next morning and fixed the problem.

It took a few hours for them to finish the work. There weren't any problems. They were friendly and courteous. They did a good installation.

We would definitely use them again.

Took 2 1/2 weeks to get an appointment and Ongaro cancelled 15 minutes before the appointment. They didn't offer an alternative appoint for at least another 2 weeks.

We got an estimate from Ongaro that was right in line with a couple other estimates. We haven't moved forward with the project at this point, but estimator was professional and prompt for our appointment, and got the estimate to us quickly.

Ongaro & Sons is a well regarded name in Marin County with a long history. They were very knowledgeable on the latest advancements and were able to translate it well to the homeowner. They provided a very detailed bid and were able to complete the task at hand in the time they had provided in their proposal. Roberto was very helpful in explaining aspects of the job to me and when I wanted to ensure that exterior aesthetics were important, he was able to properly reposition or hide the condensation lines out of sightlines. Besides the bigger jobs, they take as much care on the smaller one-off items. They are very good at what they do and we would be happy to refer them.

I was told by my house inspector that some heating ducts were touching the ground and it appeared some were also open at the joints. The technician spent an hour in the crawl space looking at the ducts and the furnace. He said there were no holes and the ducts had to touch the ground in places because there was not enough room. He gave estimates for digging out the crawl space beneath the problematic ducts, and cleaning the inside of the ducts (vacuum and power brush). He also noticed one wire in the thermostat was hooked up incorrectly, changed it, and now the fan (without heat) function works. I was expecting a trip charge but he said this evaluation was free. His work estimates were high - I'd rate it a B rather than an A - but OTOH his knowledge and professionalism were definitely A. I am engaged in a major house renovation and will likely use them when it comes time to make changes in the HVAC system.

Ongaro is always great on service. They make a point of addressing any problems that arise. On more than one occasion they have gone the extra mile to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Ongaro has been here several times to repair an aging heating system. The first time they replace the thermostat. About a year later, the fan went out and they replaced the motor. Finally, a week ago, the washing machine overflowed and some water went down the vent and filled up the tube, which they quickly emptied. In all three cases, they were very professional and also very nice to deal with. Ongaro hires really great people who have made my repairs quickly and with warmth and professionalism--a rare combo.

3 weeks ago Ongaro plumber came out to fix steam fitting and eval replacing master bath tub. He wanted to "research "the steam fitting and "maybe" have his boss come out to look at the master bath replacement. An appt was set for 8-10am the following Friday. Appx 9am ,the following week Ongaro called to cancel as the plumber called in sick. Ok, stuff happens. Appointment is set for the same time following week(time off from work). As it approaches the middle of our meeting time window today,I figured I should call to see if I was waiting on Godot. I was. They weren't coming! The nice woman who answered the phone apologized they hadn't notified me that the plumber had injured himself and they ,again would not be able to make the appointment. Really???? Hmmmmmmm 3 blown days because of Ongaro, my only experience with them and nothing has been fixed!!!!! Maybe they could have sent someone else to fulfill the company's obligation?

I was ready for a big problem, but on n his suggestion, he did the least invasive fix and he saved me a big expense and trouble. Very trustworthy as a company and I plan on keeping them as my main plumber.

We were seriously overcharged. We could have had a new toilet installed for less money than what we paid to have the flush mechanism inside the toilet tank replaced. Serviceman also installed a new stopper in the sink. Actual work took less than an hour. Serviceman then walked all over the house, looked around outside the house, looking for the source of a sound which turned out to be from shutting off the water in the sink. Serviceman found nothing wrong anywhere - he was on a fishing expedition. This was a real rip-off - the work done definitely wasn't worth one thousand dollars. Summary: we won't use Ongaro's for any plumbing repairs in the future.

The cost of the estimate was $500. He was punctual and I also received estimates from other people. I would recommend them.

very thorough inspection. We were having issues with our thermostat not cutting on when it got cold unless we turned the temp way up, which prompted us to call for service. Technician serviced the furnace unit and inspected both furnace and thermostat. Also provided info on lifespan of furnace and cost of replacing thermostat and furnace. Provided estimates for 3 different furnaces, as well as info on all. Did not push to replace at this time, just provided info. When I said I was inclined to just wait for now, he agreed with my decision. Also offered service contract, which we took because it meant we could essentially have 2 years of service for price of one. When we service next year we will re-evaluate condition of furnace and need to replace.

plumbing on hot water heater didn't make code. Company had to come back after building inspector didn't approve this work. Company did make good on this though.

very professional, pleasant, knowledgable, fixed all areas, gave good advise for managing the drains going forward.

cost for moving was more than I could do at that time. However, they were curtious, prompt and will probably contact them in the future.

I think he was a little bit expensive but I think he did a good job.

My experience went well. I was not aware they did not service mobile home but they were willing to service my home for me anyway. They were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was a little high but the quality of service was worth it. I would highly recommend this company to others.

The guy was a hack. I’m an engineer so I know how things are supposed to be done and this guy didn’t do a good job. They charged me to come out to see on top of what they charged. I told me what the problem was and he was here maybe 25-30 minutes charged over $350 including an $80 service charge. I complained about the bill a bit and he said, “Well, how am I gonna get my kids to college?” He got the job done but it kinda whacked me up. I looked at the machine and saw what he was doing. I got an outdoor unit and the motor wasn’t working quite right. He thought I was being a smart aleck. He took $300 with his time to do that. I think he charges $90 an hour and he was down in 20 minutes. The price was probably twice what I think it would be. He took a brace fitting, grabbed the hole with a vice grip and pinched it down so it’s smaller sized which I never seen in my whole life, it’s a real hack type of procedure. I thought it’s terrible. They looked at the place and charged me based upon where I live. He got here in a pretty good time.
