+ -1 moreThis move couldn't have been better. From the estimate to the underloading. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They did an excellent job of packing and nothing was broken in the move. Once I was loaded, the driver kept in contact with me everyday giving me an update on when he would be unloading. The Scarr Moving Company really made my move less stressful and almost enjoyable.

+ -1 moreOn packing day, two young men arrived, introduced themselves, and said they would be doing our entire move. They then set to packing up our dishes, etc. they were swift and professional. We have moved before, and I can honestly say no one has had anyone that worked like these guys. They were neat, clean and fast. After a few hours, they called in two additional guys, due to the amount of packing to be done. The two extra men were equally professional, and all spoke English well, something that can matter here in California . All packing was completed that day, and the truck was loaded the next without incident. Two days later our belongings were delivered to our new home by the same two men that had initially come to our home to pack. The entire move went smoothly. All items arrived undamaged. ( Unlike my last move I didn't unpack any half empty water bottles.). All boxes were labeled by item and room, which made it easier to find specific items. Moving is never easy, but this was easier than the last few I've made, by far.
Description of Work: Scarr moving moved us from Salinas, in central California to Southern California. We had estimates from 3-4 companies including them. The owner of Scarr came to our home to do our estimate. It was neither the lowest or the highest, my husband was impressed by his professionalism . I wasn't present for the interviews, but did read the packets. Theirs included letters of recommendation , as well as the story of the company, which was apparently started by the present owners father after WWII . The services provided included packing of our belongings, as well as transporting everything about 400 miles. Our belongings were packed into boxes one day, into the truck the next day, and then transported to our new home.

+ 0 moreThe smoothest move I have ever had, with the least difficulty. The items from my home were loaded on a truck by two guys who delivered the same truckload of furniture to my new house in socal and unloaded it. No loading and unloading and losing items. My move was smooth and trouble free . I have read so many horror stories on line that I was anxious about who to hire. This was the best choice by far, no problems at all, great company!
Description of Work: Moved us from northern to southern California. They did all the packing , except for a few items, so the price is higher due to packing. They did not only a fantastic job, they are exceptionally honest. I found a credit card I didn't remember I had, a roll of quarters, and books of stamps that could have easily been taken and never missed. As with all movers, I should have watched for silly things being packed, like empty jars (6!) that should have gone in the trash. I suggest you go through everything before hand. They were so efficiently packing that I wanted to stay out of their way, so didn't catch those silly items I'd left in the house. They were on time, on day of packing, day of pick up and day of delivery. There were no surprise charges , which I've seen others have problems with on line. They were professional and courteous and respectful of all the property . I don't think I have found any broken items! That is a true rarity. I would trust these guys to move me anywhere, anytime. I have moved three times in six years, and no one has even been half as good as these guys.
