They gave us all the information on the first visit, including the estimated cost. We were set to go within a week. Scudder Roofing did not get back to us with an estimate for over a week. The installers were here on time everyday and the project manager checked in everyday after the first day. They addressed all of our concerns and were responsive to our requests. We would recommend them highly.

Home Depot Inc. subcontract out the orders. When we ordered the carpet they do have subcontractors that come in and install. Same thing with the window covers. They subcontracted it out. Then the work is done. There were all kinds of mix up. I had to go a few times. We would get messages on our phone telling us for instance about our carpeting. The messages said that they had received our orders. All we had to do was go back to Home Depot. We are about a half an hour from home and Salinas. When we did get there, they did not have it on their computer. First time let it pass; I had other things to do. It was a wasted trip. The second time I went up there they again did not have the information. This is not a happy camper. We got the carpets. That finally got taken care of, but the window covers; I had to finally go to the actual people that were going to have to install the window covers. I had to explain to them that I had not got any phone calls and it was taking a while. They faxed Home Depot. I finally talked to the supervisor to come to know that they had the measurements for over a week and nobody had contacted me. Then when I did go up to make the final decision on the color and so on and so forth. They did not have it in their computer. I finally had to tell them; it was ridiculous and I may have to just cancel all the dollars. May be $3000 is not a lot of money to some people but they are a good chunk of thing. I was not terribly happy. I have been working on the workforce for a long time. I am retired. All of the jobs I have had were dealing with the public and I know that customer service is paramount. When I came across that kind of service; I did not appreciate it. That is just not the way to do business. We finally got it all done and everything. Their price was reasonable. The punctuality was alright because the subcontractors with them were not the problem. I would not use them again for home improvement.
