Wow, I will condense the details, as it is a lengthy horror story. They showed up a day early with no walk through or any idea of how much stuff we had. We had a five bedroom house and they showed up with 2 guys and only enough boxes to pack a three bedroom. They had to go to local grocery stores to find make-shift moving boxes. They went to the local unemployment office and hired some real winner to break our stuff; for instance, they packed my Spode china with a iron candelabra. They had the nerve to tear up our brand new carpeting and turn around and say "prove it". Well, thank goodness I had taken before pictures and had the receipt from the carpet company who had installed the carpet one week earlier! Seriously, folks, I could go on and on. Here is the best part: when I called Arpin Corporate to complain they said "you are a military family and they military does not pay out well. So, to save costs, we have to send less equipment and manpower than needed to make up for that cost. Unfortunately, the military leaves us no choice than to give less than stellar service." Now, if Arpin is reading this and would like to contest it, I urge you to look up this move and contact me directly. It would give me no greater pleasure than to rehash how your company had to shell out $3,500 in damages. It might jog your memory. Shame on Arpin! Catherine Reed

This company was not very impressive. We were closing our house on Monday and they said they would be able to store our goods for us. They did not tell us they were going to load and unload our stuff instead of storing it. That was not what we had negotiated. I guess it would make sense, but, we went over it so many times and that was not what was to be done. Things also came up missing. They took every opportunity to add cost. The move should have been $2500 and at the end of the day it ended up being $5000. It was not good at all. I would not recommend them and I would not use them again. If there was a line for communication, they would get a D.
Description of Work: Arpin moved my five bedroom home about 40 miles.
