+ -1 moreI had boxed up my three bedroom two bath ranch home. I have lots of boxes and furniture to be moved 280 miles.I would definitely recommend Pete’s moving service! From the very first phone call to the in result I was very pleased!
Description of Work: I had boxed up my three bedroom two bath ranch home. I had lots of boxes and furniture to be moved 280 miles. I would definitely recommend Pete’s Moving Service! From the very first phone call to the end result, I was very pleased! After my initial phone call to Pete I had my confirmation email from him in a half an hour, clearly stating they would provide a truck, and plenty of blankets with which to wrap my items with, along with the agreed-upon cost. Kyle and Jake showed up on time. They were very careful and professional! And talk about hard workers! From the moment they arrived at 7:30 in the morning till 9 at night, they didn’t let up! Their dedication to doing a good job was very evident! All in all Pete’s Moving Service took a lot of the stress out of my move! I would not hesitate to use them again!

+ -1 moreWas told they would be there between 2 and 4. They called that morning and said they would be there at 3. Didn't show until 5:20. They only came with one hand truck for two people. While unloading the truck they dropped our new desk off the tailgate and destroyed it. Called and spoke to the owner and he informed me that the industry standard was to reimbursed at 6 cents per POUND! So if it weighed 40 pounds they would pay $24! It was a couple weeks old and we paid appx $150. The only good thing was that the kid that dropped it gave me $60 to offset what the owner was paying because he felt bad for dropping it.
Description of Work: Moved from house to apartment. Everything was already boxed

+ -1 moreLousy, so disgusted, sent a truck too small to make one trip/one sweep, instead had to make 2 trips and more personal trips. I clearly explained all the items to be moved, manager just based the move of a 1 bedroom apartment-we have a California King bed, full bedroom set, two large TV's, 1 6' couch, 5' love seat, china cabinet, dinette set, tea cart, recliner, rocking chair plus patio items. Came in a little bob cat NEVER use this company unless you want to be burned. So we were charged for an extra man and more money cuz of the second trip which was all the managers fault. What this man does, he will surely reap treating people bad the way he does. The only good out of this moving company is the crew, they are professional, repectful and good workers but they work for a horrible manager
Description of Work: Moved from tracy to Modesto. We will never use this company again

+ 0 moreWe hired Pete?s Moving Services to cart a small U-Haul truck half full of office furniture into our home and up the stairs. The items included a very heavy desk, credenza, etc. But first they had to move some heavy items down the stairs to make room! Pete?s crew did a great job. Friendly, courteous, and very careful with our furniture! They followed our instructions for placement, etc. and knew how to do their job with our heavy bulky furniture items. Definitely will use them in the future if we need similar services again!

Description of Work: help moved all our furnitures, boxes, refrigerator, washer/dryer, desks, and even our plants from the backyard. they were very friendly and did a wonderful job. would highly recommend them to anyone who needed help moving.

+ 0 moreGreat movers, period. I moved from Denver, CO to Sonora, CA. First of all, I got the the same price as if I would done it myself (air fare, rental truck rental, insurance, driving, staying in hotel, hiring movers on both ends to help load/unload truck). Pete beat any national moving company proposal by far. The deal was so good, that I could not believe it and checked his license with the state of CA. I packed myself all items. Pete's guys loaded and unloaded truck, drove accords the states. It was the easiest moving I have done in my life. Nothing got broken, scratched. During unloading process, my job was just to guide guys to which room I wanted my belongings to be unloaded. That's very tough in 90F weather!!! Loved it! Will definitely call Pete again.
