Yancey Roofing

The work is amazing and well done. The company was willing to work with me as far as financing is concerned. My only beef is that I have called them 15+ times over the course of 5 months. I have requested a receipt by both leaving left messages AND spoking to real people. I have NEVER received a call back nor a receipt. The company is great at returning your call when they are trying to win your business. Not so much after the work is done.

They were re-roofing my neighbor's roof (duplex), so thought, while they were there, I'd have them do some things I wanted done. Happy with the work done. They charged their minimum ($350) which was a good deal for them, since they were already there. Didn't know they charged a 4% surcharge for using a credit card, which, finding out after the fact, leaves you with a "well, darn" feeling.

My new roof is amazing. The workers were polite, thorough and cleaned up well. My rating reflects the poor communication and "surprise" additional expense presented to me when payment was due.

We were extremely pleased with the 2 roofs installed by Yancey, one at our home and one at a rental.  They also installed a new roof at our neighbors who gave Yancey excellent reviews. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable on the roofing industry, state and local requirements, materials, warranties, their company background, and their installation process.  He was professional, on time and did not give us the "hard sell".  All the company's insurance and CSLB licenses were up to date.  The scheduler was very flexible asking us what suited us best.  The job site manager called before installation providing us with details of the job. The morning the work was to begin he met with us, walked the property, answered questions, and described their work flow.  He continued to keep in contact with us throughout the job.  When completed they did a great cleanup job.  In addition the final permit process was completely handled by Yancey!!!  We recommend them and would use Yancey again. 

After careful research and comparing various Companies roofing options and pricing ...We were certain that Gudgel Yancey was a perfect fit & match for us after Ken Cleek came to our home and listened to what we were thinking and wanted ... with zero pressure Ken educated us on a couple of roofing styles we were interested in and then covered all the various options and pros & cons while advising us on all the ( immediate & lifetime ) Benefits investing in a Gerard Steel Coated Roof would provide us which is what we had initially chosen - Ken also gave us a list of a few homes in our area with new roofs that we could go by and inspect if we wanted to look at the finished home & quality of work... Kudos to Ken because everything he said would happen a certain way from start to finish did ! ... Project install Mgr. Rick Rommel is a Sharp , knowledgeable & personable professional who like Ken will go above and beyound to insure exceptional customer service ... Rick is highly visable and provided me with updates throughout the project... The job site Supervisor Ricardo is a pros pro , and his crew were punctual , friendly , organized and left my house and their work environment clean & spotless every day apon completion... I was impressed by the quality of his work & attention to every little detail . Choosing a Roofing Co. was a very important decision for me and in reflection a GOOD & Perfect one based on realistic facts , my business experience and a lil intuition . Everything went as planned and we were 100% satisfied with both of the installations.

From beginning to end the job was performed professionally. The job was completed on schedule and at the cost estimate. Tom is a professional in every sense of the word. I will recommend him whenever I get the opportunity.

We love the end result. They were easy to work with. If there were any delays, they would let us know.

Kevin was prompt to the appointment and was friendly and patient.

It was easy to set up an appointment. The morning of the appointment, it was raining, so I figured that Yancy would not come out (as other roofers had told me they don't inspect in inclement weather) and I went out to run errands. Low and behold, Kevin from Yancey showed up on time. My bad! I was able to reschedule for early the following week; once again Kevin was on time, inspected the roof, and took the time to give me his opinion on repairs and potential options (immediate repairs versus eventual repairs). He called me later that day to provide an estimate over the phone, and followed up with an email the next day. Ultimately, another bid was more competitively priced; nonetheless, Kevin was very professional, and had the pricing been a bit closer I likely would have selected him.

They gave a good estimate, had good ideas and did exactly what we needed. They were prompt and professional.

They didn't tell me anything about my roof and charged me to come out to quote me a price. They didn't end up finishing the job because when they started, I was to scared to let them go on because they had no idea what they were doing. I felt the price was very unfair considering I have had other roofs done and I know a little about them. I felt like I knew more than what they did when I was asking questions. They are a rip off. They told me the only reason why the price was so high is because I wouldn't let them leave their sign outside of my house for advertisement.

They did a wonderful job. Being that it was an old tar and gravel job, I was pleased to know that they were very knowledgeable about being able to do such a tough job. The ones that worked on the roof were very quick, yet it was very efficient.

Came a day later than promised but finished faster than promised.

Called for an appointment for an evaluation for a re-roof. The appointment was made a week ago, the appointment was today at 12noon with Jason. It was a no show. I didn't even receive a call that no was going to show up. Why didn't I call to follow-up? A company`s follow-through is a good indication if they are reliable enough to pay a large sum of money to perform work. No call means unreliability to me.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY CAME ON TIME AND DID THE JOB RATHER QUICKLY. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND NICE TO ME.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. I HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AND I AM SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PUT A DEGREE OF PRIDE INTO THEIR WORK.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY DID THE JOB IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. EVERY DAY AFTER THEY LEFT YOU COULD HARDLY TELL THAT THEY HAD BEEN THERE.

THEY CAME OUT AND TOOK OFF ALL THE OLD ROOFING AND REPAPERED IT. THEN PUT ON THE NEW ROOF. THEY HAULED OFF ALL THE OLD ROOFING MATERIAL AND CLEANED UP THE GROUND FROM WERE THEY WORKED.
