Called around 6:30 in the evening and was told it would be 1.5 hours before someone could come. Anthony came within the hour. As option #1, he offered to temporarily repair the pipe so we could stay home for the night, but I didn't want to bother my neighbors with the set up so I declined. Besides, we already had the hotel reserved and would have to take a loss on cancellation anyway. Anthony then gave us two more options: Option #2 was to do a spot repair at an estimate of $586.00 with a one-year warranty. Option #3 was to do an Epoxy Pipe Rehabilitation, which would cost $4,850.00 with a lifetime warranty. Anthony was very personable and explained all the processes satisfactorily. Since we had other plumbing companies coming with estimates on Monday (Labor Day) we decided to wait on their estimates even though Anthony was confident that his estimate was reasonable. We were able to find a plumbing company that charged $175 total so, of course, we went with their more reasonable fee. Be sure to read my report on this fine company (they are listed on Page A21 of the Angie's List September issue).

This was a good experience and a job well done. The crew arrived on time, completed their work in a professional fashion, and cleaned up after themselves. Inspection was passed with no issues. When the first video inspection was done prior to the fix, the gentleman checking it out was able to discover that there were actually several other lines connected at different areas (probably done over previous years) which will be valuable info when we remodel. They were very thorough. I can recommend this company without hesitation.

The company made me wait 2 days after they agreed to be out within a few hours. I had to call them multiple times, and each time I got a different excuse. Finally on Sunday afternoon after waiting all weekend I called them to cancel the service request. They were shocked, but I explained that waiting for 2 days for emergency service AFTER they said they would be out in a few hours is unacceptable. My suggestion... use somebody else!

Chris did a complete camera inspection of all the pipes, cleaned the flowing ones, then started on the 2 clogged ones. He tried multiple things and eventually prevailed. He had to cut a piece of one pipe to pull out a 5-foot root but that was the only way to get it out. And all I need is 2 couplers to put it all back together. Awesome work. Also, Cathy, at the office, worked hard to reschedule the call in the afternoon after an emergency forced them to postpone my morning visit. A very professional company. Great people. I am totally satisfied.

They did a good job. They did as they said they would and did the entire job in the schedule. They kept the job within the budget. I wasn’t happy in getting the plumbing work done, but had to do it as the main water supply line was broken. They were on the job quickly and responded efficiently. They cleaned the place themselves and I will continue to use them in future.

Max and his staff were very informative and service oriented. They remembered my job from 2007. I did not write a review 3 years ago so I will take this opportunity to say I was very pleased with my service then. My job required some problem solving due to a 45 dgree turn and huge tree roots. ( I live in an old neighborhood in East Sacramento.) Trenchless problem-solved effectively and I am delighted I no longer deal with predictable sewer clogs every 18 months! My next door neighbor decided to have his sewer line upgraded to the trenchless pipe at the same time, and we were both pleased. (For years 6 weeks after I needed my sewer line de-clogged, he did the same!) Once again, thanks to Max and the Trenchless team.
Description of Work: Trenchless installed a long sewer run for me in 2007. I am doing additional work in my yard and I want to be sure I do not damage this sewer line as the plans develop. Max came out, scoped the line, and helped me understand what I need to be alert about as I continue to get bids. He and his staff were very informative and service oriented when I called yesterday, and he went above and beyond today. They even remembered my job 3 years later!

No emergency response - at all. My daughter called "The Trenchless Co." when she had a plumbing emergency - the hot water faucet in the tub broke and the water could not be turned off. I gave her their number after seeing the A rating in Angie's List (I am the subscriber). They told her someone would be there in two hours. After two hours, they called and said it would be another two hours as the message did not get to the plumber. Meanwhile, the water was flowing down the inside of the wall into the basement. I suppose if you have a non-emergent plumbing problem these folks might work out, but for a plumbing emergency look for someone else.

Response from The Trenchless Co
First off, I would like to apologize for not being able to respond to your daughters plumbing emergency in the original time frame given. Our technician was on a call when your daughter called in for service. The job that he was on ended up taking longer than anticipated, and when we realized that we were not going to be able to make it in the original time frame we called your daughter to let her know that we were running behind schedule and that we would be able to make it within the next 2 hours. At this point, she advised us that she was going to be calling another company due to the nature of the service call, which I completely understand. We are a family owned and operated company and run fewer technicians during the holidays. We have worked really hard to maintain an "A" rating on Angie's List and other on-line review sites. I am really sorry that we were unable to respond to your daughters plumbing emergency. I left a message with my personal contact information, please call me at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Max Greenberg Owner, The Trenchless Co.

Excellent. Up front hionest people. Explained everything thoroughly. They were timely and efficient.
Description of Work: Recondition/clean out all water supply pipes in 50 YO house; includes initial inspection, sandblast inside of pipes to remove rust, scale, corrosion, then recoat inside of pipes with epoxy. Had it done 2 years ago; cheaper than complete re-pipe and 10 year warranty; water pressure dramatically improved, have had no problems since. Only complaint is smell of epoxy in water for about a month afterward - so drink bottled water. Much better than tearing floor and walls apart to replace pipes. A very good company in our experience.

Quick response for the estimate that I found rather expensive, but the alternative was to cut out a 4 x x ? strip of concrete to repair the broken sprinkler pipe (broken by poor initial installation by the home builder 10 years ago, ground movement or by roots). I had already dug down on one side of the driveway to confirm that the leak was under the concrete and beyond my ability and tools to repair. The estimator suggested that I could save some money by digging down on the other side of the driveway to find the pipe so they could cut it there and bore a new hole for the replacement pipe. I did that and prepared the area for the work. On the day of the job the crew of two was on time but I later found out that they lacked materials to complete the job and had to leave the job site to purchase parts. When they arrived I had to explain to them which line was broken (there were two and one was OK) and but found it difficult to explain to the senior guy what the estimator and I had designed as the work to be done. He seemed OK but the helper was none to bright and seemed like your typical high school drop out - just a strong back and a pair of hands. He did most of the digging. After we finally communicated about what had to be done (it was obvious that all the crew had was a cryptic computerized work order) they went about their work digging the hole to place the boring machine. I stuck around for awhile to make sure things were going well when I saw the assistant take out what looked like some gray plastic electrical conduit. Since there was NO electrical work to be done on this job I asked what that was for and they said it was the new pipe. When I told them I thought what they had was conduit and not schedule 40 sprinkler pipe we looked more closely at the printing on it, confirming what I suspected (electrical conduit is gray and sprinkler pipe can be either gray or white, but usually is white). They did not have any sprinkler pipe, fittings, or glue in the truck so they had to leave to purchase some. After that was straightened out they did the work, tested the line, and refilled the holes. I would use this company again for this kind of job (under concrete sprinkler work) since they are about the only one with the experience for boring under 25 feet of concrete driveway to put in a new pipe, but I was disappointed in their training regarding sprinkler pipe vs. regular copper or cast iron, and I would WATCH them closely as they do the work to make sure they use the correct materials. Had they put in the electrical conduit it would have lasted for a few years but eventually the pipe would have burst and the job would have need to be redone and at a princely price.

We had dealt with The Trenchless Co. before and called them for an estimate regarding a water main line replacement. The initial call to the office was pleasant and helpful setting an appointment for the same day. We were called to let us know Chris was on his way and he arrived promptly for our appointment. We asked a lot of questions about trench vs trenchless water main line replacement that Chris answered with patience and knowledge of both procedures. We liked that the trenchless method is less invasive and damaging to our landscaping /property. Chris was most communicative to us about all that is involved with the water main line replacement showing us from the meter to the water main how the work would be done, the holes to be dug and where. Chris was as concerned as us about how to do the work without disturbing/damaging the new landscape and tearing up the sidewalk in the area to be work on and came up with an alternate that would minimize the damage. We were impressed with Chris' s professionalism, his knowledge of the procedure, the concern for us to get the replacement done with disturbing/damaging the landscape and property. Chris had a question about the layout of our water pipes that he felt his boss could better answer so he sent pictures back to the office and got back to us the following day with the answer. We appreciated the detailed written estimate so we could later read over the details and discuss it further. The estimate itself was more than reasonably priced for the work involved. We had no complaints from beginning call to the office to Chris's departure after the service call.

Company had recently changed its incentive for Angie's List members; salesperson unaware when writing proposal, and forgot to get my signature on the contract. Timing for project was interrupted due to obtaining permission from neighbor to remove fence, pre-inspection by City, and my family medical emergency. Company was very flexible, and completed the project within the timelines I needed.

It was a good experience. They were knowledgeable and on top of things for the most part. The only complaint that we have was that the quote we originally we received had to be adjusted because they had to receive a permit from the city which cost an extra $400. But they worked with us on it. It was both a negative and positive, as we found out about the extra cost but then positive as they worked with us when we had to get the sidewalk smashed up. The product has worked great ever since then. As far as quotes go, theirs was totally in line with everyone else's and we haven't had any problems.
