The Shade Care Co

Everything went great?Ron is a real artist! I?ve been using Shade Care for at least five years. The owner, Ron Smith does most of the work himself, with a helper if it is a large job. He really listens to what you want?for example, I have a Japanese garden and I am very picky about how it is pruned. If you want it layered, he understands and will do that, and consult with you during the job to ensure it?s what you want. If you want your tree to look like a mutant poodle, we will do that, too. He gives advice about tree care, health, and diseases, even if that doesn?t lead to work for him. Most recently (Sept 2013) he did a safety evaluation of a large shade tree?his judgment was the tree was safe and may need some minor cosmetic work. Another vendor (Bailey?s Tree Service) told me the whole tree was a menace and needed hundreds of dollars of work. I think Ron was being honest and Bailey?s wanted money. I hope to use Shade Care for many years!

He is a licensed arborist and that is a step up from just a tree trimmer. He has a much greater depth of knowledge of how the trees grow. He and his employee are very friendly, has great cleanup and they are just great guys.

Shade Care Co. was the low bid. They seem to be a family operation. They were on time, quick, and did a good job with the mess. If I hadn't come home for lunch, I'd never have seen them. I asked for the wood cut to firewood length (not split). It didn't effect the price. I was very happy with the service and the price.
