+ -1 moreSwanson assessed my needs and ordered a lock for the metal cabinet I owned. Unfortunately, the cabinet was not made to have a lock so I was not able to have Swanson do the installation. However, they were very professional and thorough in assessing what I needed. I will definitely use them in the future for this type of work.
Description of Work: I had a metal file cabinet that I wanted to put a lock on. Swanson was one of the only companies in Sacramento that does this type of work. In the end, my cabinet was not made to have a lock, so I had to cancel the installation.

+ -1 moreThey will come to your house, but they do have an office. They carry safes there, can do duplicate keys and re-key locks for you. They are very reasonable priced and I have had a very wonderful experience every time I have used them.

+ -1 moreWe've used Swanson and Sons before. We were pleased to see that they were part of the Angie's List Network. I wasn't happy that I scheduled a morning appointment and had to call at noon to see where our technician was. Then I was directed to call the technician's cell phone myself, which I declined and asked the person at Swanson and Sons to do this for me. After some wrangling, he agreed. We were to receive a call before anyone arrived, which unfortunately didn't happen. The technician just arrived at our door. The call beforehand, as promised, would have allowed me time to put our 8 month old puppy outside before she arrived. (See above, for more of our story).
Description of Work: Although there was a bit of a delay getting a technician out to take a look at our doors, Irene has done (and did) great work! We were having a problem with our doors closing properly; we could push them open even when they were locked! Unfortunately, the day Irene arrived on her service call, it had just rained, so the doors and wood were a bit swollen so the problem was no longer a problem. She checked the mechanism, deadbolt and hinges. She sprayed and tweaked and did a minor tune-up on the lock and door. And, offered to return if the problem should reappear. And she didn't charge us for a service call, even though I was pretty adamant that someone from Swanson and Sons come out today.

+ -1 moreThese guys were great! They were very responsive and very professional. They came in and they did their job in a timely fashion which I was very satisfied with. I would definitely consider these guys for any future jobs and recommend them for all of your lock problems.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased with all of the work. The locksmith was on time, experienced and very polite. She was not aware that I got the company's name off Angie's List so I told her all about this service. She was impressed that Angie's List is available for so many services.
Description of Work: I have two houses that needed re-keying. Each house had five locks that needed to be re-keyed. The locksmith re-keyed each key, made keys for the new lock, and tested each key. She was on time, very efficient, and friendly. Because both houses were within two miles, she charged me only one service charge.

+ -1 moreSWANSON LOCK AND KEY HAS BEEN USED BY US FOR MANY YEARS. THEY ARE A VERY GOOD COMPANY WHO HAS A FAIR RESPONSE TIME UNLESS WE TELL THEM THAT IT IS AN EMERGENCY.
Description of Work: DEADBOLT AND LOCKSET WAS INSTALLED IN DOOR. THE SERVICE CALL WAS $35.00 AND THE LABOR WAS $25.00.
