Description of Work: I had hardwood floors installed in my home by Simas. The sales representative David Highfill came to my home on time and measured the spaces he also gave me a lot of good advice on how the job should be done |which along with the excellent workmanship made everything turn out just right.

Description of Work: We got two bids for our carpeting project. Simas was the higher bid and we went with the lower. We regretted it almost immediately. Simus was so much more professional. Aaron was so helpful and knowledgeable. The lower bid, we found out later, was based on putting a seam in a position that would show. Simas would not have done that and we weren't told that the lower bid company would do it that way. All around we learned the hard way. I hope others benefit from these comments. There is no substitute for a company that cares about quality. Simas does.

Description of Work: We wanted to install hardwood floorings in our kitchen and we wanted to match the existing hardwood flooring that was previously installed in the 1950's. We were looking for 4", 6" and 8" red oak hardwood, to be installed in the "top nail" fashion. We called a few other places and went to a few shops, only to be told that we were "wrong," and that there is "no such thing" as 4", 6" and 8" red oak flooring. I called a friend, who lives in River Park, and she recommened calling Simas Flooring, the same company that she used to refinish her hardwood floors. We went into their showroom (I think it was on a Saturday) and we inquired about whether they had the hardwood that we were looking for. There were two women working, and while they were pleasant enough, they were not knowledgable about the product we needed. We also looked at tile for a kitchen backsplash but did not receive good service, in fact the lady that was helping us walked away mid conversation to help somebody else. We did not end up purchasing tile from them, however we did make an appointment for an estimater to come out to our house to look at the hardwood situation. David, the estimator, came out to our home on a weekday after 6pm (which was convenient for us) and measured the rooms that we wanted to be refinished as well as a new room that we wanted to install new hardwood in. He was extremely professional, courteous, and patient (we had a lot of questions). Based on his customer service and knowledge we decided to look no further and choose Simas Flooring to install new and refinish our existing hardwood floors. After ordering the flooring, we scheduled the install date. I think that they subcontract their installers and finishers. Both the install team and the guy that sanded, stained, and finished our hardwood flooring were professionals and we are pleased with the work they did.
