The story goes something like this... I stopped cooking in my kitchen because I felt like I was walled in a prison. I was completely disconnected from the family. When my husband was out of town I grabbed a sledgehammer and busted through it. One thing lead to another and I was full of joy with my handy work. It inspired my husband to act on some of his desires for home improvement including removal of a fireplace (turned out that was fast and easy). We called around, referred to Angie's List and met Terri. She was on-time and put a lot of thought into our requests and the realities of the job. We had many unknowns in our unusual home. Her recommendation to consider NOT opening a can of worms (possibly blowing our already tight budget) and introducing other options was a relief. We were inspired to do more and feel like we had a sense of control with our budget. She even encouraged us to do our own demo to reduce expenses and allow for more improvements within our budget. We did the demolition and I'm glad we did. pause *** I would refer to Terri as a THINKER and a creative solutionista. On the first work day her crew was on time, friendly and professional. Every step of the way they were considerate working steadfast and aware that they were guests. My family received the same courtesy day after day. As the contractors finished their jobs they cleaned up and were sure to say goodbye with the same smiles they came in with. They worked fast and focused. From time to time they would confer with me about options I may not have considered. One tiny exception, the electrical person changing switches was not as good as the rest of the team. He seemed new to his field. However the rest of the crew stepped in to keep the project moving along. Having attempted my own sheetrock and drywall finish I am incredibly impressed with Brent's handy work. Thanks to him my walls look like new. I highly recommend SheCan2. I have flooring guys here now that are totally UNRELATED to Terri's team and I am ready to kick them out. They broke my crystal, trashed my kids bathroom, blaring radio and use profanity. Talk about night and day. *** SheCan2 was the only business to suggest we call Habitat For Humanity to take our old kitchen and the fireplace. We did exactly that, received gratitude and a donation tax credit. Just another example of how Terri cares and thinks!

They've been wonderful from start to finish. They were excellent! They even cleaned up after themselves.

I am a happy repeat customer of SheCan2. I found them on Angie's List last year. Terri and her crew repaired dryrot around a large dining room window and retile my shower. They did a great job. Good trouble shooting as the window repair was a bit tricky. They repaired a second window for me this year. I appreciate the team's professionalism and timeliness in completing the project. Terri and Brent were patient in explaining to me what was being done. Overall, personable service as well. I liked the fact that Terri was responsive via text and email as well. I don't have a desk/office job so not always near a phone. At other times, I have two young children that will not let me hold any meaningful conversation.

Terri promptly gave me an estimate that was competitive. She was also willing to work with me to lower the price by me doing some of the finish work myself. Steve came to replace my front steps to my porch that had weather damage and did a wonderful job! They look great and he got it done in one day with all debris gone and swept clean! The mailman commented that they look good too!

Terri and her crew, Brent and Steve are amazing. Terri came out and wrote up a bid to remove a load bearing wall (or what was left of a wall) and put in a beam. When Brent and Steve came out they actually took their time to thoroughly assess the situation before starting any work. This was really important because the situation was a lot worse than we initially thought. However, once they put the beam in place the result was amazing. Because of the thorough and professional job that Brent and Steve did not only does the beam look great but the ceiling in the rest of our house actually leveled out as well all at no extra charge!!! We will definitely use Terri and SHECAN2 again!!!

It all went very well. We have worked with Terri before, and our experience this time was the same as always. Terri communicates with us, and is professional but flexible when the job demands it. She held to the schedule and budget we had agreed on, and the work was completed to our complete satisfaction. We plan to work with Terri and SheCan2 in the future.

I have no complaints. There was one misunderstanding about the scope of the job and Terri resolved it immediately. A true professional!

I was impressed with the professionalism of a company and individuals who could have sold us a big repair job on our foundation. Instead they told us that it was structurally sound and that the brick was cosmetic and actually showcased the period of the house. They advised not to attempt to level the brick (cosmetic fix) as it might negatively impact the value of the home. I will definately call them in the future for the things that are sure to go wrong with a "period" home.

terri came over to my new home to give me an estimate for all new floor, three bathrooms remodled, and a kitchen remodle. Terri was my third estimate and the numbers and time frame that she quoted were absolutly outragious. i was previously quoted 47,000.00 to complete everything in my home by another contractor. where as terri's quote was 50,000.00 just for the kitchen. she was just a hudge waste of time. i do not recomend.

We had Terri come out and look at a remodel of two bathrooms due to size of bathrooms. In addition, looking at sprinkler system to get it working correctly. She was very personable and helpful wtih suggestions when she came, including other contractors for other service she does not provide. When she left, we requested a written estimate of the cost for the job. She stated she would send one over. We waited a week and did not hear back and made multiple inquiries via phone, text and email. We got limited communication back. Eventually my wife started calling a couple times, finally receiving a return call. Unfortunately, Terri had not written down notes and forgot what the plan was. My wife gave her list over the phone, and then we emailed the list to her later. Terri stated she would get it to us the beginning of the week. After waiting to the end of the week, and still not getting a bid for the job, we chose to go with someone else. We were disappointed as we liked her but we need more consistent communication.

Why do they list under handyman if they don't want to do that service. It was very clear that she only wanted higher pay business. Be sure you plan to spend some serious money if you are bothering to call this provider.

She not only looked at the items I was concerned with, but also did a thorough walkthrough and found several problems I was not aware of. She then gave an estimate of what it would take to fix those problems. Teri showed concern for our satisfaction with the property and gave a professional opinion on the desirableness of the property and the future costs that will be associated with it. I will definitely call upon this company again.

Brent and Steve worked for nearly 3 1/2 weeks to finish out fine details in the kitchen that were never attended to by the original contractor as well as an extensive laundry list of other smaller projects we needed done to complete our home upgrade. Brent did work ranging from hardware installation, woodworking and staining to complete cabinetry, plaster repair, painting, extensive tile and grout work and much more. Together they created a storage area in our attic space which now makes it the largest room in the house (over 400 sq ft); painted interior rooms, halls, and baseboards; repaired/rehung doors. Steve rebuilt and painted an exterior gate and did a lot of plumbing upgrading work in our largest bathroom as well as cleaned and resealed original tile. Terri (the owner) and Kim came in to check on schedule and progress frequently to make sure everything was going smoothly. We got a great deal on labor, thanks to Terry and good timing on our part as we caught them in between major projects. SHEcan2 does beautiful work, employees are always punctual and professional, and we would not hesitate recommending them!

Couple of tweaks but they responded very well. Good value for the price.

My husband and I purchased a home in November 2011 and hired Terri Harris (SHEcan2) to finish our garage for it not to get so cold in the winter and so hot in the summer and to create a new access to the attic from our hallway so that contractors would not have to go into the privacy of someone's bedroom and private closet to get into the attic . Terri worked with our very limited budget and came up with a plan to fully insulate the walls and the garage door, put in and insulate a ceiling, and put up the sheet wall. By doing this she was able to do both projects and stay within our budget. Terri and her crew had a busy schedule so our project experienced some minor delays due to availability and scheduling issues, which did cause us some inconvenience. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with the work that was done and the professionalism of everyone involved. We found Terri to be an honest and experienced contractor who takes pride in doing a job well done. She made sure that anything that had been overlooked got done. Also her crew did a professional job. Once the scheduling was established, everyone came at their appointed times and on their appointed dates to do their part of the project. Everyone did an excellent job and, once done, everything was left nice and clean. Terri understood exactly what we wanted and everything ended up looking better than we had expected. As regards the garage, we could feel the difference in temperature. While still colder than inside the house (there's no heater in the garage?yet), I no longer had to put on a coat, shawl, and gloves just to go into the garage. I can now stay in the garage for as long as needed to get laundry and other work done. SHEcan2 did excellent work on both jobs. Many thanks to Terri and crew!

The process was as smooth as something being done with two homeowners who have no clue what they're doing can go! We respect the guidance we got from SheCan2 as we made some "mid course corrections" to get upgrades we just love. Her ability to work with subcontractors to bring the whole thing together is amazing - her crew and the others were like well rehearsed artists. It was a pleasure to watch them, and the final produce was superb. I'd say, depending on budget of course, that trusting SheCan2 on materials and process is important. She knows what she's doing and whom to trust for supplies. That was worth everything to us. We're thrilled with the results.

The interaction was fine. She was very professional and nice. It was fun to work with her.

She was very helpful. Her name was Terry. She quoted me $2800 and she was reasonable. She spent almost two hours giving estimates. I had these other questions about general home repair which she answered. The bathroom was scattered, so we needed someone who can actually rebuild it and she went over the reasons why she wanted to put the drywall in a certain way because my brother had started to put up the drywall. She pointed out that the way it was put in was too low. She gave recommendations about the type of shower panels that needed to be put. We actually bought the things she asked us to buy. She also gave recommendations about how to do different things. She told me how to manage a few damages in the bathroom. I think her estimate was reasonable. I rate her high overall, and I will get another estimate from her if required. I have decided to use my brother for the job as he is learning to do that kind of work, so I did not go ahead with Shecan2.

The job went very well overall and I could not be happier. The initial estimated time to complete was 4 days. However, there were some unexpected delays and difficulties related to the removal of the soffet - but, everyone was able to troubleshoot the problem and the additional time to complete was only extended 1 extra day. The first couple of days were spent on the most time consuming parts of the job (removal of the fireplace stone, hearth and the soffet) with the remainder spent on the corners, drywall install, texture, etc. There was a lot of repair work needed, so I was very happy it only took a week. I was very impressed with the communication (letting me know the problems were and how everything was going along the way) and the attention to detail (In each area, there was a concerted effort to match the texture exactly so that no transition could be seen). No one would ever be able to tell I had a soffet removed or that the areas repaired had ever been so damaged. I was also impressed that with the removal of the stone on the fireplace, there was no damage to the surrounding areas (floor around the hearth that was removed and the firebox that remained). In addition, drywall is a very dusty job and it was great the team cleaned-up every day. All in all, everything turned out really well and I would definitely use them again.

She gave me a quote for about $1000 to do the work. I think that the price was a little bit high. She did come over to look at the work and I give her very high marks for friendliness and professionalism. I still haven't decided on who should do the work but I won't use her simply because she is a little bit high.
