Rich's Hauling & Yard Cleanup

Called Rich Monday after getting word from elderly Mother's condo assoc. that all plants had to be trimmed 10" away from inside of fence by THAT DAY for fence staining. (She hadn't seen notice in prior newsletters.) He came by same day for estimate and scheduled work for next day. (Condo assoc. gave 2-day reprieve.) Rich was prompt both days and got the work done fast. He trimmed up 2 camillia "trees," a 50+ ft. row of tall plants/hedges, cleaned the huge back patio, and hauled away all the trimmings as well as several other bags of trash and boxes. The place has never looked so good! It was nearly dark when he gave the estimate, so when he came back to do the work, he offered to knock down the price because it wasn't as extensive as he'd thought in the dim light. Instead, I asked if he'd trim top of hedges and maybe add just a little more to the price. He had to go offsite to get his ladder, but did so, finished the job, and left the original price. My mother, sister and I couldn't be happier! He not only was prompt, fair and did really great work--he is just a really nice guy! We will absolutely call him again.

We found Rich on Craig's List about 6 years ago and have used him 5-6 times over the past 5 years to do a variety of yard and house projects, from landscape cleanup and hauling, to overhead trellis removal, and trench digging for setting new posts. We call Rich whenever we need labor assistance with any home project. We will continue to use him as needed and can highly recommend him. He generally brings a partner, but not necessarily the same person each time.

Very courteous and did everything he said he would do and did it when he said he would. I was very impressed.

He did a good job, the yard was completely clean after he left and went above and beyond and took something out of house for me.

We had a very large pile of branches from pruning trees. I called Rich to haul them away. He asked if they would fit in a pick up truck... I wasn't sure and said it would be a big load. Luckily, the pick up truck he used had the boards on the sides to haul bigger loads. He set a day and time window, then arrived at the beginning of the window. The picked up all the branches, blew off the driveway so it looked nice, and hauled it all away. He accepted the Angie's List coupon. I'll call him again when we have more to haul off...

They hauled away soil that was built up against the fence. They happened to notice other stuff laying around and offered to take it! I am so happy it's gone. It would have taken me so much longer to do it myself.

Provided work as described in coupon. We just pointed, and they placed items i truck. I also requested they service another location. He had a previous appointment, but came back later that afternoon for the other location.

Gosh he was just great from start to finish. He gave us and estimate that I think was too low! I could not have imagined this type of service even existed! Rich was very responsive and pleasant and accommodating and intelligent..I called him, he came out did an on time estimate and then did the job in record time. Reccomendation?? Don't even need to check with anybody else. Nobody can beat Rich's Hauling.

Rich was on time, very polite and professional. Rich and his partner quickly loaded a pile of wood with some metal and a couple of pieces of concrete into his truck. Rich and his partner also swept and used the leaf blower on our concrete pad before leaving which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Rich to anyone seeking hauling services.

Sacramento City notified me that I had 72 hours to get rid of my green waste trash pile in front of my house or get fined. With the time limit and my first hauler not showing up, I checked Angie's List and found Rich. I called him somewhat frantically and asked if he could come the next day and pick up the pile. He said yes and he would call me 10-11 AM. He called on time, asked for the size of the pile, said he would be at the address in 30 minutes, showed up promptly, and started right in cleaning up. He and his helper loaded the pile onto their truck, blew the entire area clean (and not onto neighbor's property!!), and did a beautiful job. The area is cleaner than it has been for 3 years. I got his card for future reference. Thank you, Rich. I will refer you and definitely use your service again!!!

I called for an estimate and he called right back. He gave me a price which was comparable with other quotes. He said he was free and could do it that afternoon. He was there in 30 minutes, reviewed what needed to be done and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Everything was great. He had a helper and would hire him again without question.

One of the best maintenance services ever! From the start, Rich was professional, listened, suggested, did all agreed on plus! All work done to perfection! Highly recommend to anyone needing yard work, tree and shrub trimming, roof/gutter cleaning, general outside maintenance.

They came out the same day, did a very clean job, and did exactly what we asked of them. We will definitely use them again!

I called Rich to schedule a pickup of the furniture. He responded that either he or his crew would be by between noon and 2 pm. Rich arrived before 1 pm and proceeded to collect the broken furniture. He was prompt, courteous and quick in loading the furniture. There was a lot of wood furniture and he managed to get it all in the truck as a single load. He also accomplished this alone as his crew was busy on another job. I will definitely use this company again!

Rich went to the house (7867 Gazelle Trail Way, Antelope) and gave an estimate of the cost of the tree removal on 9/9/2013, just several hours after the initial call. We agreed to the estimate. To our amazement, he called back this afternoon (9/10/2013) and informed us that the job was completed! Can't beat the quick service for the price! Thanks Rich!

Rich was great to work with. He came out the next day and provided the services right away. He was professional, on time and his crew left my yard in excellent condition. I am a happy customer and will refer Rich to my friends and neighbors.

He's wonderful. I've had him about a half a dozen times. He's honest, reliable, and does excellent quality work. He cleans up my yard more than anyone. He is willing to negotiate the price. He wants to keep you as a long time customer so he works hard for you. There is nothing bad to say about him. I feel very comfortable with him.

The man that came was very pleasant, and knew what he was doing. He had a very reasonable price. He was in and out very quickly. did a really fine job. He did charge 20 dollars for gas. Well worth it.

.Rich promptly responded to my call and came the same day prepared to do the work. After considering the size of the job, he gave me an estimate and a schedule with which I agreed. He arrived early 2 days later with 2 men, tools and 2 trucks. They started to work immediately and were careful to protect a nearby fence and shrubs. They were very industrious - did not take frequent breaks and stand around. Rich came to me several times to ask about items I wished to keep or discard and, and when the work was completed he walked me around the job to make sure I was satisfied. I was impressed how quickly they completed the job and managed to get so much "junk" on the two trucks. The work site and the driveway were left clean.

He was straightforward that he would dig out what saplings he could, but half the time they come back. He suggested round up ivy and brush killer, which he used on any that he wasn't able to fully dig out. So far so good. A month and a half later, and the few that have sprouted up, I zapped with the round up and they shriveled up. It was truly amazing when he was done. Everything was gone and level. He is a casual guy. If you are expecting a company truck and letterhead estimates, go somewhere else. If you want the work done at a reasonable price when he says it will be done, go with Rich. I will be contacting him again for another property that has way too much ivy.
