 + -1 moreHe asked me to text him the details, including address and nature of the job, which I promptly did. He did not show up. I texted him again asking ??? and he did not reply. This is really rude. Maybe he didn't like that I had a coupon? So, work not done, back to the drawing board for me. Since I am an employed senior and caregiver, the inconvenience is significant. Thanks for adding to the stress level.

 + 1 moreI was scheduled the day after the quote. The crew arrived at 7:30 as planned, worked (hard) 7 hours in 100 degree heat. The cleanup was so good it looked like no one had been there. Great crew. Friendly and cooperative and obviously wanted to do a good job. Good work. This is the second time I've used Rich Custer and will continue to do so.
Description of Work: Trimmed 6 trees, removed 1 dead tree, cut back overgrown shrubs, cut back hundreds of feet of Oleander and blackberries, tore down an old manure bin, and hauled everything away.

 + -1 moreI called Rich and he responded immediately. Rich set up an appointment for 2days later. Carl arrived with his workers on time and started on the job right away. The work was completed in about 3 hours and I was very happy. I have used Rich's services for about 10 years. He and his workers always do a great job. I am a" happy camper:\" every time Rich works in my yard.
Description of Work: Pulled weeds , cut and shaped trees and bushes, cut down overgrown rose bushes cleaned out fallen leaves and dried rubbish. All of it was hauled away. and the yard was cleaned up.

 + -1 moreI spoke with Rich on the phone and explained that I had a pile of brush I wanted to have removed. He quoted me $300 to $350 depending on the amount involved. I said ok and sent him a text with a photo of the brush pile. He said he would be here on Saturday about 11 AM. He never showed and when I phoned his number again the recording said that he was on vacation until the 20th and hoped there was no inconvenience. To me it is very inconvenient to wait for this guy and he doesn't even have the courtesy to let me know he sill not be coming If there were a lower score than F he would get it..

 + 1 moreRich and his crew work so very hard and always display an attitude of politeness and cooperation, especially with my many requests. I had them work for me last year(June-2014) , again this June of 2015, and will call them out again next spring. They are TERRIFIC!!!
Description of Work: Rich Custer and his crew were on my one-acre Orangevale lot for approximately 2.5 days. They weeded and raked my large backyard in preparation for my swimming pool renovation. They removed five(5) large, dying redwood trees in the yard. They pruned an Eastern Red Oak tree near my rear entrance/wheelchair ramp. The crew tore down a 3-rail pasture fence along one side of the same yard and tore down an old redwood fence facing my frontage street. They pruned all my bushes and shrubs in the backyard and sideyard. In my pasture/orchard area, they cut down 3 old fruit trees(one already dead). They weeded and raked along the inside and outside of the remaining 3-rail fence in the pasture area. They also pruned some of the "volunteer" Valley Oak trees growing along the outside fence line near the street adjoining my property. I had them haul away a large dresser and mirror and nightstand from my guest bedroom, a stereo-phonograph cabinet from my living room, and a storage cart from my kitchen.

 + 0 moreI called Rich on a Thursday to set up getting an estimate. He said he would be in my area on Friday and could come by at 9am. Well he was there right at 9am as promised. He looked at the job and, after agreeing on cost, asked if he could do it that same afternoon as he and his crew were close by. I told him yes and he said they would be there between 1 and 2pm. At 1:30 he texted me to say they were out front. I went out with them to the back, and they began working. Less than an hour later he asked me to come out back and I figured he had a question regarding the job. To my surprise, they were done! The job was exactly how I wanted it including completely cleaning up after themselves. I could not be happier with what they did and I will use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: I needed Ivy removed from my fence as well as completely removing an entire length of fence that was both rotten and covered with ivy and weeds. This section of fence was also in a very crowded area between a brick wall and the side after a large shed. In addition I had a fair amount of trash that needed to be hauled away.

 + -1 moreI'm remodeling my townhouse and there's no room for a dumpster. So, all the stuff I was ripping out of the interior ended up in a huge pile in the small backyard. The yard was over-flowing with old carpet, cabinets and other gross ugly stuff. I called Rich on Monday morning, he met me at my house on Monday evening to give me a quote. Rich showed up on Tuesday morning, as promised, and loaded up all the stuff and hauled it away. After dealing with other contractors and being told that they can't even schedule a quote for a couple of weeks, it was really refreshing to find someone who could do the work right away. Rich is great! I definitely will use Rich's service again and I would recommend him for anyone who needs clean-up/hauling.

 + 0 moreI contacted Rich late Saturday night via email and asked for a quote for hauling away the items previously described. He responded early Sunday morning with a quote. I followed up with a phone call and we finalized the price, time and place of pickup which was for a few hours later. Rich text me that he was on his way after completing another job. He arrived on time and quickly loaded his truck with all the items we discussed. I paid by check and he provided me a receipt for my records. This was a very easy transaction at a very competitive price especially for a Sunday. I would certainly use Rich again for these types of jobs. Hope this helps in your selection process.

 + 0 moreRich and his crew did a terrific job with the weeding, pruning, clean-up and hauling. He and his crew worked really hard and it was quite hot on the 1.5 days they were here.... Rich ordered a dumpster brought to my home for all the green waste and it was full when it was picked up. My neighbors commented on how great the property looked when the job was completed.... I will have them return next year(2015) for more of the same....
Description of Work: I live on an acre of property in Orangevale. I had Rich and his crew prune approximately 8-9 trees, weed and rake along my fence lines on both sides, weed and rake my large backyard and side yard, prunes all shrubs, haul away 2 picnic tables, a large metal glider, an old Weber bar-b-que, a large chest deep freezer, 2 concrete Swan planters, a rusty wheelbarrow, and numerous smaller items from the garage.

He is always, ( I have used his service three times) ahead of schedule, fast, efficient, better then expected. Easy to deal with, talk to and listens to what you need done. I would recommend Rich to family.
Description of Work: Removed 3 foot weeds over a large backyard, trimmed trees, removed old dangerous wood lattice work. Rich also removed a giant thorny tree-bush for me that could be seen through Google Earth and did it in extraordinary time. He removed old appliances, trash, dog doo, junk, and wood and left the area perfectly clear.

I called on Wednesday, Rich provided his quote on Thursday and let me know he'd be back Monday at the latest, but would call if he finished up his other jobs ahead of schedule on Friday. I heard from him late in the morning on Friday, and 20 minutes later he and his crew arrived and got right to work. A couple hours of hard work later, my back yard was once again my own, and neat as a pin.
