OMG Diversified Door & Lock

Description of Work: They came out to look at the job and told my staff we were not going to like the report. We called twice to follow up and both times they said they would return the call but never did. Unprofessional !

Description of Work: I would never use OMG Diversified Door ever again. They did not show up for appointments twice. The first time I had to call them and reschedule the second time they did not show up, I called them and they never called back.

Description of Work: I requested initially 4 doors be adjusted so they would close properly. Only two got corrected. Paul, the owner, indicated that my double doors to bedroom would require removal of entire frame and as well as the door to the water heater. I declined that work. I asked him to see if he could also adjust my Anderson French door sticking at the bottom (5th door). After some adjustment to the hinges from the outside and pulling out a screw and putting in a longer one he still couldn't fix it. He said he didn't have his Anderson tool kit with him though I gave the adjustment rod that came with the door that's been used before. He arrived late by 45 minutes and after 35 minutes and $115 I had 2 of the five doors fixed. I went on You Tube that evening and fixed the Anderson door myself (I'm not mechanical at all!). He was adjusting the wrong side of the door's hinges! Paul is a very nice man and I'm sure his "decades" in the business must indicate his expertise. I was just disappointed that my doors didn't get fixed and he didn't know how to fix the Anderson door which was quite simple.

Description of Work: Replaced a door and door frame, installed a pet door in another door, changed out some locks in several doors. Showed up right on time for both the initial visit and the actual work, seemed very knowledgable, did a quality job. The only downside was, he asked me to email him at the close of the initial visit and he would respond with the firm quote - but he never did. The final cost met what he told me the first day, so not a big deal that I didn't get the email.

Description of Work: Contracted with them to install new fiberglass entry door and steel security screen door. Also had them realign a number of interior doors that would not close properly after I installed new hardware and had interior painting done. The owner, Paul, was great to work with in identifying what I wanted done and gave detailed information as to what would be installed, how it would be installed, and cost. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. His installer, Randy, was just as detailed in performing the work that was requested. He did not hurry the job, was very methodical. He was here for the better part of the day and the end product is a testament to his dedication. Should I decide to replace the rear entry door at some point in the future, I'll definitely be returning to OMG Diversified Door and Lock.

Description of Work: Installed an small awning above my deck door. Water was coming through before the installation. This is a temporary fix but it did the trick until I can get an awning installed above my deck. My roof line is very high and when it rains water comes through the top of the door. I would definitely use again.

Description of Work: Had my door kicked in and needed it replaced. There was no way to do same day help, but they got me going by telling me what to do to secure my door until it could be replaced. I'm pretty happy with the door that we got, and the lock, and the job that they did to re-enforce my frame and the quality of the materials. I thought the prices were a bit high, but you get what you pay for: quality installation, quality lock, quality door.

Description of Work: The owner of OMG Diversified Lock & Door came to our home and spent a generous amount of time with us, explaining the various options available to us for replacing our front door. He did show up late. We had already purchased a door and contacted OMG for staining and installation. Before he came over, he was generous with his time during a phone call providing suggestions on the various door knob / locking systems available for purchase and the pluses and minuses of each. We ended up going with his suggestion of purchasing an Emtek System and we're so glad we did! Ultimately we decided on using another installer due to his pricing which, unfortunately, wasn't at all competitive. He did disclose that he wasn't the least, or most expensive, but that he guaranteed the quality of his work. When we got his estimate, we were honestly a bit taken back by the price which was almost $1,400! We contacted a family member whose a contractor and asked whether he thought this was a fair price. He confirmed it was high for the service being done and connected us with an installer that was a little more than half the price. In doing my research on Angie's List to find a reputable installer, the choices were slim, so I don't have the sense that there's that many contractors who do this type of work. So perhaps there's not that much competition that would compel OMG to offer more competitive pricing. I feel confident that he would have done very high quality work...it just came down to a matter of pricing for us.

Description of Work: Replaced an old external utility garage door with a new wood grain fiberglass door, exterior frame, deadbolt, latch and threshold plate. OMG was able to do the work in just a couple of days. They did the work quickly and efficiently and hauled away the old door, etc. We had a small problem with the keys but they came back the next day and corrected the problem. I would definitely use their services again.
