Olsen & Fielding Moving Services

We used Olsen and Fielding to move from California to Louisiana. First off I will say that working with Jackie and Chris was great as well as the trucker driver Keith. They were very professional and helpful. Overall our moving experience was terrible. Our household goods were packed on August 30, loaded on August 31 and was suppose to leave California on Sept 1. Instead it was moved to a warehouse. My wife and I moved to Louisiana the following day on Sept 2. For TWO weeks our household goods sat in a warehouse in Sacramento California while we racked up hotel bills in Louisiana. I was paying rent for a home in Louisiana that I couldn't move into because Olsen and Fielding had our stuff in a Warehouse in California. The delivery spread was Sept. 5-13 but our stuff didn't even leave California until Sept. 14. On top of that, Mayflower would only offer $100 a day to off-set our expenses even though they dropped the ball big time. It took me calling over and over - spending up to 3 hours a day on phone calls to Mayflower and Olsen Fielding - to finally get our stuff coming this way. If I had not been calling that much I guarantee our household goods would still be sitting in California. Once our household goold goods arrived we had a couch with holes in it, our Temperpedic Mattress is now sinking in the middle because it sat in a hot warehouse for two weeks as well as many other damaged items with scratches etc. I do not think the truck driver was responsible for this - I think it all happened while in the hands of Olsen and Fielding at the warehouse. I would not recommend using this company or Mayflower. As I said above, Keith, Chris and Jackie are great people and were very helpful. Without them, I would give this company zero stars. I would recommend getting your own UHAUL and moving it yourself.

This is the second time we’ve used Olsen & Fielding to move our four thousand sqft house and each time they have exceeded our expectations. They routinely demonstrate their professionalism with punctuality, efficiency and quality. Every stage of the process has been stress free, from estimate to billing to transport, due to the excellent staff and crew. I highly recommend them to my friends and family.

EXCELLENT JOB IN TAKING OF FURNISHINGS. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL THEY COMPLETED THE JOB EXACTLY AS THEY HAD PROMISED. A GREAT JOB IN BOTH PACKING AND MOVING ITEMS.

They were very good. Very well, yes. I think it was reasonable.

Everyone at Olsen was top notch. The estimate was quick and spot on, and from the minute the movers showed up to pack my household items until when they set down the last box in my house it was amazing. This was hands down the best item I budgeted for in my move. Every piece of furniture and box was put where I wanted it saving me enormous amounts of time (and aches and pains). Protective paper/drapes/wraps were not only placed around my furniture items as they were loaded, but on all of the surfaces of each home during the loading/unloading process. I hope I don't need to move again for quite awhile, but I would absolutely use Olsen again. I was so happy with them that I recommended them to my mom, who also had a great experience!

Olsen & Fielding Moving Services did a wonderful job moving our entire household from Sacramento CA to Bozeman MT. Curt Olsen came out to do the initial estimate, which he was very professional and understanding to the specific needs and concerns that I had. Rose Olsen handled scheduling and coordinating our move - she was great to work with! Once moving day arrived, the crew that came out to load everything were fabulous - kind, patient, understanding to my requests and concerns, and very professional. Since moving can be so very stressful, and I was pretty darn stressed and tired that day, the entire crew helped to put us at ease that all would be taken good care of, which it was. And i was really grateful for their reassurance. Once at our destination in Montana, the unload was coordinated by Olsen & Fielding's own driver, and he was wonderful! Unloading can still be stressful in trying to figure out how to set up furniture and where to put things, but his sense of humor and patience was awesome considering my mind was overloaded in trying to figure out our new home and how to set it up. :-) Choosing to have Olsen & Fielding Moving Services move us was the perfect choice and I could not have been more pleased. Nothing was damaged or broken (which can be totally unheard of when moving) so I was super impressed that everything arrived in such great shape. To anyone that needs a moving company to help with their move, I would highly recommend Olsen & Fielding Moving Services!

i have had many moves in my career and have never enjoyed them . something always went wrong. right from the start, this was different, with the moving agent explaining the process, costs , and services they provided , . there was no high pressure just a helpful attitude. i decided to go with them because of this. on the day of the move they arrived punctually with sufficient workers,equipment and supplies. they were very professional, efficient and helpful. they made sure everything was be done the way i wanted and that i understood all they were doing. it sure gave me a feeling of confidence. they were extremely careful with my furniture and goods as i had many antiques, and delicate items . they then set up a schedule for the delivery of the load. at my house in reno. on the delivery there the personnel and equipment was just what was needed . the driver and moving personnel were great. they exercised care with unloading and made sure everything was placed where i requested. .all in all it was a perfect move. i did not have any damaged items. the service was great and stressfree. the price was very fair. my compliments to olsen and fielding they have an excellent team.

It went very, very well. They were great guys. Very professional and competent, and they really knew their stuff when it came to the international move.

Excellent in every respect. Notable were the workers who loaded from our home, as well as the men who unloaded at our new home. All were efficient, and very enjoyable to work with. No damaged or missing items.

It went very badly. Chairs arrived with broken arm rests and legs, wooden sofa table legs were broken, wooden bookcase smashed, china bowls broken and chipped, dining table was left on the floor with the legs not reassembled, TVs and computer not reassembled, rude driver refused to return a recliner chair to the truck to go to storage as previously instructed. I was told they would deliver 7 days after requesting delivery and it was 19 days. The moving van broke down in route and delayed delivery. They only had two people to deliver so my daughter had to help with large pieces like dresser and chest of drawers. I would never use this company again. The cost is outrageous and service was bad. I reported the damage the next day after delivery and one month later there has been no offer of restitution for the damage!

THEY DIDN'T BREAK ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WAS IN GREAT SHAPE WHEN THEY GOT IT TO MY NEW CONDO. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK WAS EXCELLENT.
