Silverfish started showing up in our home. I saw the Angie's list Big Deal for a complete inside and outside pest control treatment with a 30-day guarantee and decided to give North American Home Services a try. I scheduled the visit through their office for 9:30 A.M. on a Friday. Troy Dunn (a handsome young man) arrived at our home ON TIME in a clean, neat truck wearing a bright, freshly-laundered uniform. After explaining the services to be performed and what I could expect, he proceeded to lightly spray the baseboards of the interior of our home while I was present to observe. He then sprayed around the outside of our home and even sprayed the fencing because I mentioned seeing some spiders there. Following the application Troy gave me his personal business card with his direct cell phone number in case I had any questions or encountered any problems over the 30-day guarantee period. He didn't try to sell me an on-going service package even though I had it in my mind that I might want to continue. I asked him how much the bi-monthly service would cost and I consider the price he quoted to be a good value. It's too early to tell if the bugs will return, but considering the professionalism demonstrated I don't think I'll have a problem. By the way, Troy's business card shows the California Department of Consumer Affairs pest control licenses he holds; another comforting touch. Considering that the normal price for the one-time service is $199, I got a terrific deal at only $89. If the price were not so heavily discounted, I might not have even tried North American, but after my great experience, I would have judged the full price to be reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased with the service Troy provided. I would highly recommend North American Home Services for you pest control needs.

He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. He explained what he was doing and why. He called the next day to see if everything looked ok. The work is guaranteed for 30 days and he said he will follow up to make sure the treatment was effective. I will use this company again if I need more pest control.

Terrible. I waited at the property for 45 minutes on the day of repair. When no one showed up I called their office and was told that the materials for repair had to be purchased and ETA was 9:30. If I had not called I would still have been sitting there. I asked them to please call me when they were 5 minutes away. I received a call from the foreman, Dimitri, who apologized for the delay. They finally showed up at 10:30. I met Dimitri at the property, asked them to leave the keys under the mat when they were done. Approximately 5pm. A couple of days later after the repairs were done, another supplemental report was provided that supposedly uncovered more work that needed to be done in the amount of $1695. Hmmm, how convenient after I pointed out the $1650 error earlier. I find this practice intolerable. In Summary: 1. An accurate assessment should have done the first time showing all repairs and costs so the client is not blind-sighted. 2. Don't blame the ladies in the office that typed the report. As an licensed inspector it is the inspector's responsibility to view the report for accuracy before it goes to the client . 3. NEVER use your drawing program limitations as an excuse for inaccurately depicting where the repairs are needed. Dump the program and get something that will do a better job. 4. All materials for the job should have been ordered in advanced. The authorization for work was signed in enough time to prepare. 5. Poor use of time and project management skills. 6. Poor quality report with typos and calculation errors.

We had very wet, early winter. Ants invaded, nothing worked. North American Home Services technician came out and explained everything well, performed well. Now no ants! Hardest part was loading up the 3 cats in the car and be out of the house for 3 hours while the house aired out.

We saw a couple of ants on a wall in our kitchen on a Wednesday.We sprayed them and hoped they would go away. Thursday we saw a few more and sprayed them. It was 5PM at night, and I thought I'd never be able to reach anyone with the holiday weekend coming up. I did a stupid thing and instead of taking the time to go on Angie's list, I remembered the name of a well known company who advertises on TV and called them. I clearly stated this would be a one time thing only. The person I spoke with understood, and told me he could have someone come out the next morning. I asked the man how much it would cost, and he couldn't give me an estimate. He stated they had to see it first. He asked the square footage of the house and I told him. I asked if he could give me an estimate. He could not. I said, I need to have some idea. I also said, it will not cost $300 will it? He assured me it would not. I said it will not cost $200 will it? And he said no, probably around $150. I said ok, and we made an appt for the next morning. I told them I have 2 indoor cats and would have to put them in the garage, and I would not want to have the garage sprayed. They said ok. The next day someone showed up on time. To make a long story short, they did what I feel was a bait and switch. The man who came said it would be $150, and then I think it was $80 every other month. I might have the monthly thing wrong, but it was close to that. I said, oh no, when I spoke with the man on the phone, I told him we only wanted a one time thing. Well, the price went up to $300.00 for a one time spraying for ants. I told him we wouldn't be needing his services and escorted him to the door. Then I did the smart thing, and went on Angie's list and called North American Home Services. When I called, I didn't tell them what had happened with the other company. I just called and said I needed spraying for ants. From beginning to end, everyone was so nice, and professional. The woman I spoke with on the phone said they had a light schedule that day and could come out late afternoon. She told me the price over the phone. I told her I only wanted a one time spraying, no monthly service. That was ok with them. The total cost would be $159. I told her about my cats and I wouldn't want the garage sprayed because they would be in there, and that was fine with them. The technician arrived on time and was courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We have a lot of plants around our fence and he checked with us to make sure it was ok if they were sprayed. Also, we have an enclosed outside area for my cats, and I asked him not to spray in there, and he was fine about it. He never tried to push us into any kind of monthly service, and because of that, and the good job he did, I will call North American Home Services if we need help again in the future. I asked him for a couple of business cards, which he gave us, and I will recommend them to our neighbors. I am happy to report, we have not seen any more ants!

My wife wanted the service. I relented. The big deal seemed like a plan to get you to commit to regular visits. They said they would keep coming until we asked them to stop. After they dropped by without notice, said they could only do the front of the house due to the locked gate, and charged us in full, I had enough. I can't say they were bad, but I wasn't sure there was much value in what we got. Maybe if you have a terrible infestation there would be a different result. Meh....

They said not to pay for the service but instead make the contractor pay for it. They were very good and their estimate was very thorough. They came recommend by my real estate again. Their prices were a little high for the dry wrought work compared to another bid I received. I would definitely recommend their service.

They are responsive and have always done a good job.

The service was good the first time but we did not have them do any repairs. I have used them since. They came out on a Saturday and even then they gave me a discount.

The guy was really nice and on time. He discussed with me what he saw. I only had my credit card on me but he allowed me to pay him later. I thought that was really cool. He got me the report on time. Everything was explained in detail and broken down.

Bought a coupon for pest control from the Angie's list big deal promotion. As it turned out the pest company wanted to charge extra for some of the things their Big Deal coupon should have included.When I questioned the lady scheduling the service, she claimed that they had multiple deals on Angie's list and that I should forward the proof of the services included in my coupon. At this point I begin to doubt the credibility of the whole thing and cancelled the coupon.

It was very impressive. He was very professional, so I signed up for a monthly maintenance agreement. He was very helpful with respect to the services he offered and the options I may want to consider, but did not force it on me. He just showed what do.

They did a great job. We no longer have bees.

Gentleman arrived in professional uniform. He described the work to be done and set about doing it. In the process of the work he had some good advice about naturalistic methods of reducing liklihood of infestation. As noted above he cleaned the outside of structure and applied a perimeter pesticide outside the house. He was knowledgeable and courteous.

Called within minutes of the purchase and was immediately scheduled for next day service. James arrived when he said he would and took some time with me to see what I needed and then explained what he would do. I have two small dogs and he reassured me that the chemicals were water-based and mixed at such a low level that the dogs would have to ingest more than he was spraying to even feel any effect. He took a little over an hour to spray the exterior of the house, walk areas, eaves, gutters and other areas. He took the time to clean cobwebs and old hornets nests before spraying. Inside the house all that needed to be treated were various spots in the garage and he took care of that. Great service, very professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. Will definitely call again when I need more work done.

.They come every two months. They are very professional and timely. They call before they come and I haven't had any problems with bugs since I have been using them.

I was so impressed! We used North American Termite for a termite inspection on a home we are trying to purchase. They arrived a little early and got started with the job right away. They checked the exterior of the house for any termites, rodents, bug issues, etc. They did the same for the interior, but they checked every possible place...attic, in drawers, cabinets, closets---seriously, everywhere. They also told us about potential water damage underneath the toilet in an upstairs bathroom, another water issue inside one of the bedroom closets, and a tiny leak under the kitchen sink. They also mapped out every piece of dry rot on the exterior of the house. After their inspection, the rep brought us around the entire house (inside and out) and discussed all his findings. We already had a home inspection a few days prior and it was like getting another home inspection all over again. Again, so impressed with how thorough their inspection was. Then we received a very detailed report the next day.

My problem with excessive webs and bugs has decreased dramatically!
