Newman's Heating & Cooling

I would give them very high marks. They have been very helpful, and they have helped me to sort of find a solution to a problem that was not straightforward. They did a bunch of homework, figuring out how to solve the problem, and finding the material to solve the problem with for free. I had promised them the job, I hadn't signed a contract or anything, but they did the legwork to get the solution over the phone. I will be using them to do the job once they get the permits.

Yesterday it was over 100+ degrees outside and inside the house was 80+. We tried calling around to different companies saying they were open 24 hours but Doug was the only one that actually called us back.Fortunately Doug was able to come over at 1130pm to service the outside AC unit. Doug was very thorough and professional in his work and was here until about 2am. We would recommend Doug to anyone that needs any type of heating and air service.

His name is Doug Newman, and he can just about do anything with older heating systems. In these older houses, he just had to build them from scratch. The other companies wanted to replace the system with a total heating and air system, but this guy didn’t do anything like that, he just replaced what I wanted him to replace. The house is old and the original stuff is really hard to find. That’s his specialty. The house next door is a hundred years old and its made out of hand made adobe, and he managed to put a heating system in there, which was really hard to do. He couldn’t cut through the walls, as they would start crumbling, it would ruin them.

The air conditioner stopped working on 6/22 in the late afternoon. The morning of 6/23, I called Newman's based on their good rating with Angie's List. The man who answered took the information and asked if he could check with his service people to see if they would be in my area that day. He called back within 10 minutes and said someone would be here at 11. They showed up a few minutes before 11, diagnosed that the fan motor had burned out, and gave me an estimate of $490. With the 10% discount for Angie's List members, the total was $446. They had a replacement motor on their truck and finished the repair by noon. It was really hot that week, so I was delighted with the quick service they provided.

They came out right away. After they found out what the problem was they asked me if the unit was under warranty. So I filled out the paperwork. It didn't cost me anything. I was very happy with their service. The person who came out was very good. He explained everything that was going on and explained why he was doing whatever he was doing. He also suggested some things that I could do to make sure that the unit continued to work. He was excellent. I have signed up for their annual program.

My heating unit is located in my attic along with other storage and seasonal items. While on a retrieval mission my husband had unknowingly loosened a connection. I called Newman Heating and Air and they were able to come out the next day. They called before arrival as promised and were in and out of the attic in less than 20 minutes with the problem solved... No charge. My husband decided to have them install a new digital thermostat which took an additional 30 minutes or so to hook up. Doug took a fair amount of time to show me how to use the thermostat and told me to call if I had any questions. Thanks Doug and team you guys really made the repair process pleasant and painless.

After describing my problem, ac running without end and without results, Newmans wasted no time on the repair. I was very comfortable with their timely service and professionalism, leaving me with a better understanding of how a air-conditioning system should work. I highly recommend Newmans to those of you looking for great service.

Did fast and excellent job. No mess. Easy to work with. New furnace was a good selection, saves a great deal of gas. Extra help -- Furnace quit due to minor malfunction one cold Saturday night. Doug came right out to fix it, no charge (still under warranty).

I REALLY LIKE THE MAN THAT CAME AND CLEANED MY AIR DUCTS. HE CLEANED ALL THE VENTS IN MY HOME FREE OF CHARGE. THEY ALSO GIVE A SENIOR DISCOUNT FOR OLDER PEOPLE. THEY ARE ALSO REALLY FRIENDLY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.
