New Surface Bathtub & Tile Refinishing

Ken and Tim are great! They were out the day and time we agreed to and ran into problems with a leaky bathtub and the city shut-off the water yet they still worked around those problems and finished that same day. They called me to let me know that the bathtub had to be stripped since it was previously refinished and instead of calling half way through the project to let me know they called before they started the project. I really appreciate knowing upfront what the costs are instead of having someone tell me half way through the project that I will owe additional amounts. The bathtub and sink look brand new. You cannot tell the difference between a brand new sink and the refinished sink. Both the sink and bathtub were in HORRIBLE condition before they started since they were in a rental property in Rancho Cordova where the tenants just abused the sink and bathtub. It is amazing how they took a completely horrible looking sink and bathtub and made them both look brand new. I highly recommend them!

Ken, the owner and re-finisher, was prompt, courteous and worked hard to do the best job possible. However, it did take three visits to complete the job. After the first visit, the tub looked great, but the surface in one area was very rough to the touch. Ken returned, re-sanded the area and applied a new finish. That finish, however, oozed a bit and the result was a ripple on the surface. Ken returned about two weeks later and re-sanded that area.The tub looks great and feels fine. One note: the materials used leave a strong smell which dissipates over time. Now, several weeks later, there is still a faint odor when the bathroom door is closed. I expect that all bathtub refinishes do the same. Despite the inconvenience of the return visits, I would use Ken and the New Surface process again.

The technician did a great job, was very thorough, made sure that everything was vented during the process, and cleaned the area thoroughly when finished.

Ken Gibson, the owner, did an excellent job. The tub still looks new!

Prompt response. Ability to do the work within a week. Worked without interruption for close to five hours. Suggested referral to an excellent plumber to reinstall new fawcetts and a grout craftsman to refress the grout on the vanity holding the newly resurfaced sink color change.
