McDonald Plumbing Heating & Air Inc

This is the first time I have tried McDonald's plumbing. I purchases their Angie Deal for flushing the hot water tank. It had been over 5 years since I last did that. Carlos arrived on time, was knowledgeable and professional and went right to work. Lots of grit came out of that hot water tank and I am happy I chose to go with the deal. I didn't realize that while he was here he would also check all the interior plumbing in kitchen and three baths. He was very thorough with that as well. He explained everything he was looking for and what I need to watch out for in the future, but it all looked good for now. I was relieved to hear that too.

McDonald Plumbing Heating and Air contacted me immediately thru the Angie's List messages and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. I contacted them to ask if I could also get an estimate to plumb natural gas to the kitchen to consider converting from electric to gas cooking. They gave a 2 hour window for the appointment and called when they were on the way. Both Glen AND his trainee (I am SO Sorry I forgot his name!) were very professional and provided all the information I needed including some ideas for prioritizing plumbing projects that was very appreciated!

Checked Angie's List as soon as water heater leak detected. Arranged for McDonald's to come out the next day; two-hour window. Technician arrived at start of window; assessed water heater condition & provided written estimate. Work was done quickly, in an hour. Tech was courteous & efficient. He was not familiar with the particular model of solar electric we have, but was conversant with solar water heater design. I gave a B rating on price, but got no other estimates; amount charged may be quite competitive. Would certainly use McDonald Plumbing again and recommend to others.

Dom worked very hard to determine the problems leading to the leak. He spent over an hour on the diagnostic call figuring it out and gave me an accurate quote (which was much less than another plumber's quote based on a few minutes inspection). He did the work fast and was very polite and punctual.

The part I didn't like was that the tech showed me a list of parts and uphold me, but at the same price as the part that was supposed to go in. I am uncomfortable with that.

They told me that I needed $800 worth of repairs immediately, and gave me a 25% discount. The only furnace they would sell me was a $6000 unit. I had another company come in for a second opinion, and there was nothing wrong with the furnace at all.

He was efficient, professional. He saved our Christmas dinner party. All drains and toilets in the house were unusable because roots had invaded the system and debris had caught on them - on Christmas Eve.

They recommend that?I needed over $1,000 worth of repairs to be done for my unit. I ended up having another come and double check, and they said it was just fine. The man said there was an oil leak from the seal, I asked for a picture, and he said he couldn't get a picture in the tight spot it was in, he did then try to take a picture, but when he showed it to me, it was too blurry to see any leak. I asked for documentation, due to selling my home.

My 22 yr old hot water heater blew up on a Monday morning, water every where. I got on Angie's List and found 5 plumbers with excellent ratings but McDonald's was the only one who had an answering service that took frantic calls at 5:30 in the morning. They were by the way the only ones who called back that morning too. Carlos came out and said it would need a permit and an upgrade to present code. The estimate was $3085. I hired Carlos and the company he has worked 12 years for. The work was done fast, and correctly, AND under the estimate! I cannot be happier, and will not hesitate to get McDonald in the future if needed. Thanks for the GREAT job, Carlos, and same to all the people who support you at McDonald's.

When he arrived Eduardo listened intently to my plumbing concerns, checked out my concerns, and then looked at all of the house plumbing to find any other leaks I had missed. After a full inspection Eduardo wrote an estimate for the work. He arrived the following day and completed all the initial work and discovered another major leak and was able to repair it the same day. The following was replaced: washing machine hoses, master bathroom sink hoses,and fill valve in the back of the toilet tank. Eduardo also installed a water shut-off valve outside and repaired a major leak by the water meter near the sidewalk outside. After the work was completed he was able to say that he found no other leaks in the house and the insurance company was satisfied.

We removed a wet bar and there were pipes from the concrete as part of our remodel. Called these folks and they charge $50 just to give an estimate. They should look at what the competition does, no charge since there is nothing to diagnose. The woman was rude as well. Rip off.....

Very thorough job. Did not feel like the tech rushed. He explained everything he did and included a checklist of completed items along with notes. My only complaint was all the insulation on the floor after he was in the attic. Not only right under the opening, but also tracked down the stairs. Also, he was to call back with a quote for suggested work. He said he'd call back the next day, but did not hear for 2 days.

We were looking at a major job since the roots and age had broken down 3-foot sections of clay sewer-pipe at our 89-year-old home. Got three estimates, two in the $5000-$6000 range for a trenchless replacement. When I explained we had good cast iron pipe for half the run, Carlos suggested just digging the clay pipe portion under the driveway. This made sense because the driveway itself needed replacement and widening to be usable. So after the driveway was removed, Carlos spent a full day digging out and replacing the pipe, for half the cost of the trenchless jobs. We still came out $1000 ahead costwise (and with a new driveway) when the driveway folks finished their part of the job. Carlos and the folks at Macdonald were quite helpful and professional.

Went great.? Worked closely with landlord.

They come out about twice a year and have done a good job.

I requested a bid on Wednesday. Called to accept bid and schedule installation. They were able to come on Thursday morning, and completed the job by mid-afternoon that day. All is well. I have used this company before and continue to be a satisfied customer.

They were very informative and polite. I got a lot of information from them and they answered all of my questions. They were wonderful.

They came out and found it was lit. They did not do any work but the price was reasonable for the service call. I was very happy. The guy was very nice and I would definitely use them again.

The guy Mike shows up and is there for one half an hour. ?Shoots some air in the condenser line and tells me it was dirty and if anymore water leeks, it is probably a crack in the pan. ?Two days later more water, no return call from the tech. My husband?found a guy a week later, he and his friend came in for 4 hours, cleaned the unit and all for $100 and tells us there was no air filter(this was our first house with out swamp cooler) ?there was never a filter put in the unit we had which explained the dirt. Also the freon needed refreshed. ?Mike didn't say a word and the pan was fine. ?I think this company needs to stick to plumbing and stay way from A/C.

It went great they were prompt, respectful, and honest.

Came out to repair the old unit and had to replace entire Heating and A/C unit. They did a good job and were on time. It wasn?t until Dec that I discovered that when they moved and replaced the stand on the back of the house that it was a different size and they forgot to fill the old holes from the previous stand causing a leak. When I contacted them they immediately reimbursed me for the guy to patch the roof.

I called McDonald Plumbing because it had an A rating on Angie's list. The customer service representative on the line was courteous and sympathetic to my plumbing emergency, i.e., backed up sewer line. The plumber, Eduardo, came on time and called when he was close. He explained how much it would cost, including the Angie's List discount, and did the work quickly. He also gave me good advice about to avoid the problem in the future. I will definitely use McDonald's Plumbing again.

Their service is excellent. We would recommend them to anyone. Eduardo is who does our work and he is really good. We have never had any problems with him.

Great customer service. Came out quickly. Identified the problem. Showed and explained problem and offered options. Performed the work in a timely manner and was professional.
