This includes smaller repairs and services like drain cleaning to upgrading complete plumbing and Heating and Air systems. As an approved contractor under the Energy Upgrade Program and in cooperation with SMUD and PGE, we provide our customers with energy audits and energy improvements so they can save on utility bills and receive utility rebates and financing.

Our shower valve failed on Fri late afternoon and we were without water because we had to turn the house water off. I called a number of plumbers on Angie's List, including those that said they were available 24/7, but McDonald Plumbing were the only plumbers who 1) answered the phone, 2) had a plumber call me back immediately, 3) who knew exactly what the failure was and even the brand of the failed shower valve from my description, 4) were available the next day for repair. The plumber who I spoke with, Glen, came out on Sat morning and fixed the problem. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He even used a repair plate which was fantastic as it avoided us having to redo the whole shower stall where he had to cut out the old valve and piping. Others we spoke with said that we would end up with a shower remodel with the kind of failure we had. That was discouraging as we knew that would cost a great deal of money. It's a great relief to have had the job done quickly, efficiently and without hassle. We are waiting for the caulking to dry to use the shower, but right now I'd say it was a job well done!

The technician was very pleasant and professional. He did mention that our water heater pipes were rusty and should be replaced. We will plan to do this within the month when we have the cash.

They charge way too much for what they do but they did a good job. They were very courteous and prompt. I'd used them before and I would use them again because they have a good reputation.

We didn't care for it all. We had other people afterwards and they were a lot cheaper. The quality was pretty good. The price was so high and two or three years after that we had to work done all over again.

When I looked your name up in our database, I expected to see that an appointment had been scheduled and perhaps notes explaining why the appointment had been changed. What I found was much more distressing as it appears that whomever you spoke with did not even complete the process of setting you up as a customer. I called McDonald yesterday @ 2 p.m. after another local firm didn't show and didn't call for a scheduled appointment between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. I was first on McDonald's schedule this morning, and Carlos arrived promptly at 8 a.m., just a few minutes after the office called to let me know he was on his way. After assessing the clog and discussing prior plumbing work done in this bathroom, he gave me an initial estimate of $169.00. Unfortuantely the prior plumbing work meant that he couldn't clear the clog from the tub. He had to use / dismantle the trap under one of the sinks instead which increased the cost of the job by $75. Carlos got to work, and the job was completed just shy of an hour. Carlos was professional and an absolute pleasure. I couldn't be more satisfied. Carlos will be returning next week to give me quotes on installing a tankless water heater, and replacing the main sewer line, both long overdue for my 50+ year old house.
