I just purchased this property. It came with a non-functioning solar hot water system. The roof was in need of immediate replacement.This made it necessary to rush the process of hiring a plumber to install the new water heater since I didn't want to poke a hole in the new roof for any new pipes or venting. I was attempting to find and schedule plumbers to work concurrently with the roofers. I was uncomfortable with the to solar hot water installers that I had give estimates. I found McDonald's on the manufacturer's website for the water heater I chose. To do the full installation required two days of work. It turned out that because of the extremely high efficiency of the system it was possible to vent through the garage wall instead of the the roof. The plumber was very personable, very knowledgeable and did excellent work leaving a very clean area where he worked. The price seemed to be high but I'm very satisfied with the work and experience and I am happy tat I hired this company. After the work I received an unsolicited offer for a free servicing of my HVAC system.

We use them all the time. We have a service contract with them. They come every six months. They are nice, prompt and efficient. They seem to know what they are doing. If they weren’t good, I wouldn’t use them. The quality of their work is good. If there is any problem they take care of it. They are very responsive and punctual. We would continue to use them in the future.

As usual with their excellent service, they called the day before to confirm the appointment and then the next day to let me know they were five minutes away. The repairman was extremely knowledgable and thorough. The problem was quickly fixed. I have used this company for years, including replacing my a/c system in my old house. I highly recommend them.

We have used McDonald plumbing for most if not all of our plumbing problems. They always do a good job. They do seem to be on the more costly side. This job was a only a temporary fix for what i was told is a new drain section to replace the current original one. its been a few weeks and the drain is still open and flowing. overall, the service went fine.

We both work days, so the owner himself made an evening visit. He used several reference manuals for available unit specs, made suggestions for appropriate heat pump and air handler. A friend in the business had suggested a certain size, but Vince showed that we could save $1,500 or so with a smaller unit. Inspected ducting and found it tight.The young lady in the office called the day before to make sure we would be available, and our technician called half an hour before arrival. The boys were clean and polite. They worked methodically and tidied up their work areas. The lead tech showed us that the complicated-looking energy-saving thermostat really was pretty simple to program, and to change. The county inspector knew the company and its history, and checked off their work.There were a couple of Federal and local public utility rebates, and McDonald's handled all that paperwork for us, as they had promised they would. The checks came in the mail in a few weeks. The unit is a Trane, and that rebate was built into the initial estimate. Separately, we had cheapo water shutoffs in our tract house that would occasionally drip, and we used McDonald's probably 15 years ago to upgrade to current standard. The tech back then was also businesslike, and the simple flat rate charges seemed fair.

I highly recommend McDonald Plumbing. I have used them on several occasions over the years. Their service personnel are professional and on time. They have always been clear about the work to be performed and promptly informed me of any problems encountered. The work has always been completed on time and without any necessity for call-backs. The office personnel have also been friendly and efficient.

I spent exactly $140 on that service. They do excellent work, their response is excellent, and the guys know what they are doing. They are expensive, but the last time I used them they charged significantly less.

They call to schedule appointment, and are very good about working it out with our busy schedule. Company calls day before to remind of Appointment. Teck calls just as finishing prior service call, dies his thing, gives a written report answers questions, and leaves, Prepaid service contract, renewal special orders, etc are handled by office. Teck is not given any money.

I have used them for plumbing before. They are a local company that has been in business for a long time. I've had good service from them. They are probably more expensive than some competitors, but they do great work. You want somebody who is going to do good work, so paying more is worth it.

McDonald Heating and Air recntly received a very bad review and rating from me due to problems that occurred 8 years ago but that did not fully come to light until recently. The company has since responded with appropriate and much appreciated measures to regain my trust and to rectify the situation. I feel now that it is a company that perhaps went through a bad stretch, but that is now committed to their customers' satisfaction. The response from them on this site details the offer extended to me accurately and I feel it was a fair resolution. I would have to add, however, that whether or not I contacted McDonald prior to this with my concerns is irrelevant. My experience with them initially was negative to the point that I did not wish any further contact with them and the charred remains of the owner's manual found inside the furnace was evidence enough of poorly supervised installers (teenagers or not) to warrant my outrage. I've been assured that none of the installers that worked on my place are still employed with the company. The technician who came out today to inspect and repair the system was professional and polite. He seemed truly concerned about the quality of his work and the reputation of his company. I believe I would even go so far as to recommend them to friends at this point.

They wouldn't tell me a price over the phone despite knowing exactly what I wanted done, which means I had to pay the $50 for the guy to come in person and tell me he's charging double ($205) what the last company charged. It's not just about their service being expensive, it's a dishonest business practice. To illustrate the dishonesty: The work took less than 20 minutes. That works out to an hourly rate of about $600.

Two visits with no correct solution. The first repair guy didn't even go on our roof to inspect the heating unit.

The technician was professional and corrected the problem as instructed. However, his additional estimate for fixing the leaky bathroom faucet was very high. He stated that the company had a "standard" price for repairing bathroom faucets and that was $250. She decided to wait and her son-in-law did it in 5 minutes and for a cost of 50 cents in parts. On the surface, it seemed that he might have been taking advantage of a widowed elderly lady but I'm sure there must be another reason. Perhaps an honest mistake.

Jennifer (over the phone) was very professional. I was called prior to arrival time to alert me that Edwardo was about to arrive. ON TIME!!! Edwardo was very professional and informative. He gave me options for the repair (I could have had the entire plumbing re-piped under the sink since it was not done properly on the original installation) but did not pressure me into something more expensive. I will definitely use McDonald Plumbing again...maybe when I remodel my bathroom.

Called at 10 am; plumber arrived at 1:30 pm. Fixed leak quickly after giving me a price for the job. Very professional.

They are very professional and really on top of things. My heating and air was not working in the winter. The owner came out and got three new heating and air as he could not repair it quickly because he was busy. He noticed some rats coming out of the sink in my kitchen and he cleaned and fixed it for me though I didn?t ask him to do that. Everybody that has come out to serve me is truly courteous, professional and on time. They always call me before coming out.

They sent out a fellow who did a poor job of resetting my toilet the first time. But I called them, and they fixed the toilet within a couple of hours.

They promised to be there between 3 and 5. At 4:55 they called and said they could be there in 20 minutes and asked if that would be all right. The plumber did come and gave me a quote on each toilet and valve. He was very professional and worked quickly. The price seemed high, but after looking at other reports, I don't think it was not too far out of line.

My Saturday morning call to the company was returned by the plumber within 30 minutes. He said he would be at my house right after his next appt. He called back a few minutes later to say he would be at my house within about twenty minutes as the first appt was going to be done later. Carlos knew immediately what the problem was when I described what had happened. He located the blockage and cleared it in a few minutes. He was very patient and answered my questions. When he told me it would be $250 I almost fainted! I did recover enough to ask if he knew if there was a coupon on Angie's List and he said there might be but there was one in the phone book. The $30.00 coupon helped a lot. I'm not really sure if $250 was a fair price since I have no prior experience with plumbers. I was impressed when their office called at 8:30 Monday morning to check with me to see if everything went well.

Overall, it was a good experience. there were only two problems that I felt should have been attended to. One, a new attic access was needed and was left undone in my opinion. I was told I would hardly notice it. This was not so. Second, fiberglass used to cover the duct was not enclosed in a sheath so it would fall down on my clothes.

Came out on New Years Eve day at the last minute, which was appreciated. They were on time, knew what they were doing, and experienced. Gave me new information on a water filter and also new toilets, but didn't pressure me in any way. Actually advised me in a way that saved money. Left a clean house.

We're very pleased with the level of service we received at the time of booking the appointment, as well as the service that was performed. Milton arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. We will most definitely call on McDonald in the future for all our plumbing needs.

Water started backing up in both of our bathroom toilets, bathtub, and shower. McDonald Plumbing sent out technician Eduardo Luna. He was on time, professional, and polite. He explained what needed to be done and the cost ($205). I gave him the go ahead and he went to work. Eduardo told me that we had a 4" pipe at the clean-out which went into a 3" pipe at the house. He snaked out the whole sewer pipe, and explained that he found the blockage at this junction. Our system was once again flowing. I used a $30 off coupon from the yellow pages, so my final cost was $175.

The technician diagnosed problem as a stuck gas valve and got it to work by turning it on and off several times. He said it was a dangerous situation because the pilot light had been stuck in an on position and gave a price for a new valve, with installation, of about $800, which included a $125 charge for them to pick up the part. I reluctantly agreed, and was promised it would be fixed within a week. A week passed without hearing from Mc Donald. I called and they said the part would arrive in two days and they'd fix it in three. Still no one showed up or called. I canceled the job. Meanwhile, the furnace is working fine.

It went very well. Everyone I dealt with was professional and the technician was on time, polite, and explained what he was doing. He used quality parts and the line has worked perfectly since.
