McDonald's called us each day prior to the plumber's arrival to ensure promptness and to meet our expectations. Anytime we needed to contact McDonald's they proved all the information we needed in a very professional and prompt manner. Eduardo Luna arrived Tuesday morning when expected. He worked this day and all days in an extremely organized fashion to complete a large variety of tasks including going under the house for repairs. We always felt we were in good hands and nothing would go wrong. Eduardo Luna's skills are at the journeyman level. He has the highest level of plumbing skill. He was extremely knowledgeable about the job and was always well equipped. Each day was very well planned and we knew what to expect that particular day and he delivered the work as planned each day. He was a delightful person to have in our home. He was always cordial, polite and thoughtful. He was experienced and knowledgeable about related skills such as carpentry, lathe and plaster buildings and vents. Throughout the work process he made useful suggestions after listening to our concerns. He listened to us and helped us. The work product is excellent! We could not be happier. He represents McDonald's Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning as a corporation of excellence..

They provide good service and they are reliable.

We are very happy with their service. They inform us when it’s time for an examination. The people seem to be very knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. They call ahead to confirm the appointment or to let us know they are on the way.

They have been doing fine. I have been using them for years. I had a complaint several years back. However, I called and they addressed the problem right away. I have a lot of confidence in their work.

Their service has always been good. The technicians have done a very good job. We have been pleased with the work.

The service is excellent. They send someone quickly and explain what they are going to do. The price is well worth the money.

Standing water under the furnace increasing at about 1/2" daily. Needed service person to find out where the leak is coming from. Repairman said there was leakage around the flue vent. He suggested that this is what was probably causing the standing water. I said that I didn't think this was the real reason for all this standing water. There really wasn't that much water leaking from the flue. He stated that he could repair the leak for about $300. I asked if some putty applied to the pipe fitting would solve this leak. He said it might. He suggested I wrap a towel around the leak at the base of the flue and see how much water is really leaking. This I did. Took about 4 days to soak the towel. Therefore, this was not enough water to cause all the leakage. The repairman cleaned out the condenser drain pipe which goes to the outside of the house. He suggested I call the original installer of the furnace if the water continues to flood. After several days of me sucking out more and more water, It was obvious the problem had not been fixed or identified. As the original installer was now out of business, I had yet another heating/air company come out. The problem was identified in 30 minutes. (There was a hole in the condenser pipe behind the drywall.)

After receiving the estimate, we did not hire them.

MCDonald plumbing was prompt to respond to our emergency call for a water heater leak. We found a leak and we were moving the next day! I called McDonald and they sent someone out early the next morning. The plumber arrived on time and seemed professional. He was there approximately 40 minutes and replaced some tubing at the top of the water heater. We were shocked to receive a bill for $460.00. I was expecting half of that for such a short service call. If we had the luxury of calling around for estimates we would have been more careful to check pricing but in an emergency we were thankful for the prompt response and I guess we paid for that.

I personally felt completely overwhelmed when I initially discovered that I had been taken advantage of by a prior contractor. I was flabbergasted. The outcome, however, led to results that have far exceeded my faintest expectations. First, what was done wrong previously was identified and professionally corrected immediately. Everything was permitted and inspected. I readily accepted additions and change orders based on the obvious quality of the work done. Also important, I was regularly informed by office staff and workers on the site of the status of the overall project as well as each next scheduled development. I was treated warmly and responsibly through out the process. I met and got to know some people working at McDonald who are as interesting and personable as they are thorough and competent. During the entire process - work on the furnace in the attic and air conditioner outside, the installation of a new tankless water heater off the kitchen, and the insertion of new plumbing throughout the sub-basement, every effort was made to have walkways and work areas masked off and the floors covered so the work going on in one place did not contaminate other areas of the home. To a person, these folks are so very good - for who they are as well as what they do.

I was frankly angry when the plumber gave me an estimate of $327.12 to replace 2 flip levers and 2 flappers on two separate toilets. I was further angered when I asked him how he arrived at those estimates. He flipped open his price book and showed me what he was supposed to charge. I then asked if the first "standard rate" was for labor only ($188.380). He said no that is a standard rate that includes parts. I then asked why there were two more entries for $69.92 and $68.82 that said -- replace trip lever and replace 2nd trip lever. He said these were additional parts charges. After I refused to have the work done I checked with a couple of hardware stores and found the retail price of the parts were around $20 for a new trip lever (including a new handle) and the price for flappers was about $8. After he left I used a rock to hold down the flapper and the toilet worked fine. In, fact it worked so well that I removed the rock and it is still working fine. It appears to me that the price was grossly over estimated and that the repair could have been made with no parts whatsoever - that is what I did. I called the company and told them to cancel the appointment to look at my HVAC unit and told them why. The response was simply, "OK, we have cancelled your appointment."

I was phoned by the company 20 minutes prior to the repair person arriving. They arrived on time, introduced themselves and went right to work. He was thorough and at the end showed me where the issues/concerns were and what should be repaired/replaced in future. Completed the work to my satisfaction. Will be using this company again in future. Highly recommend them.

The office staff was very friendly and superb at coordinating. She said someone was available to come out between 8 and 10 and would call back when they were actually on their way. She did call back and someone arrived about 15 minutes after that. The plumber was also friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He did excellent work and finished in about an hour. The only slight knock i have to give them is on price. Based on other work I have done with other plumbers, I had an expected number in mind. Their estimate was slightly below that number. Their price is better than average so I gave them more than a C on price, but not enough better to get an A. All other aspects were far better than average and exceeded my expectations. The quality of work compared with the price also helped push the price rating to a B.

The technician was prompt, cordial, and professional. I plan on using them again in the future.

I don't know how much the service tech checked the ducting in the attic... I have a feeling not too much. He mostly went in the attic to look at the A/C coils and heater fans. There was quite a bit of insulation he dropped from the attic and carried through out the house that wasn't cleaned up.He then went outside and check the A/C unit. He told us the contactor was pitted and should be replaced and that we needed 3-6 lbs of freon. I asked him how much freon was per pound since I was receiving one pound with my service call. He said it would be another $267 or so more to fill it: How he figured that price was he took their normal service call price of $365 and minus out the $98 with the Angie's List deal. I asked again how much freon was per pound and he said the boss doesn't have him figure it that way. I asked how much the contactor was going to be and he said $149 if he had it on the truck. Since I got in the mail the Angie's List magazine the day before I saw that JR Putman Heating and Air was giving 2lbs of freon for $69.00. I thanked the McDonald Heating and A/C guy, paid him the $98 and then called JR Putman to come out.What a difference in personnel. The service tech from JR Putman told me I needed 2lbs of freon, not 3-6lbs like McDonald. He also said I should replace the contactor because it was pitted from arching contact. His price was $167 for the contactor which was more than McDonald's price, but they seemed more honest in their approach. He said we should look into getting a new system since our system was 11 years old. He had his sales staff out here within 30minutes since my husband was still home. The salesman, Mark Bowman was honest and personable. It seems the work that McDonald did for adding freon was okay, but their business approach needs some work.

Repair went well with new connection of leaking components to bib and irrigation system.

I have been using them for years. I grade them an A overall.

Carlos was good. He came in, he was pleasant, nice, and he stuck to his job. He just kept working steadily away. They also gave a senior discount, which is nice. When I'd originally spoken with them they said they wouldn't be able to come out until Tuesday. I explained my circumstances and they rearranged their schedule to accomodate me. The work was also very well done. They left me with feeling of absolute relief. They showed up early and the cost was actually less than the estimate. It's one of God's blessings!

I disliked that when he came to diagnose it, it took a short amount of time may be 15minutes and then the technician stood around for couple of hours like almost two hours waiting to hear back if they have the part in stock which they did not. So he left and left me an estimate which was in a certain estimate. Then when he came back it took 8minutes to install it from getting here and installing it. I think that he charged too much for the actual amount of time the work was done and the cost of the part. He showed up on time and showed up when he said he would. The technician was nice but standing around for two hours didn’t make sense at all. I wouldn’t use them again.

They fixed the furnace the day before they replaced the garbage disposal. They also fixed the pipes under our house last year. They are prompt. If you have an appointment then they are there. They give you a price and they do the work. They are done and then they are gone. They are a good and quick company to have.

It took them a more time to complete the work. They were expensive. They did excellent job. I would use them in the future.
