Jay came by and gave me an estimate and I to him that I was going to check his competitors prices and that I wo get back to him and after he left I felt good about him and decided to just go with the reviews I had read and called him back and gave him the job. Without disappointment he knocked it out in exactly the time quoted to me and I cou be happier THANK YOU JAY!

It went extremely well, just as Jay said it would. He was punctual, efficient and did a beautiful job. He even did some extra work that he felt needed it - - at no added cost to me.

Contacted a few companies for quotes to have our old, yellow doors repainted white, along with the frames . Jay had a great personality and gave us tips and helpful information. We decided to go with his company and we had no regrets. Jay and his co-worker, showed up on time both days and were quick to start work. They finished the job on time and the doors looked awesome. They also went above and beyond and replaced our old hardware on our doors which we provided them. We most defiantly would hire Jay's Painting for any future needs.

After purchasing a home whose last tenants were renters, the interior plaster walls needed some mild/moderate repair and a fresh coat of paint. Jay was always early to any appointments and we appreciated how straight forward he was. After hiring Jay, he and his crew went above and beyond with the interior work. Ultimately, the job took a bit longer than expected, but only because Jay has a great eye for detail and didn't cut any corners. We really appreciate Jay's help in turning our new house into a home.

Jay's Service was timely, efficient and very professional. The painters went beyond what we contracted with them to do and fixed various areas inside our home including holes in bathroom doors, texture in other rooms, etc...

was walking through the house, assessing the paint needs and After deciding to paint the interior of our house, we went to three different companies to obtain estimates. Jay was the first company to respond and their estimate was competitive and in writing. Upon deciding the colors, the job was basically turned over to Jay. The crew arrived exactly at the appointed time and consisted of highly-skilled professional painters who went directly to work, taking down drapes and moving furniture. After very thorough preparations, the painting began in earnest. The end result is truly beautiful and everything we could have hoped for. When we paint the exterior, Jay will be the person we will call.

John and his crew are the best. The exterior paint application was very well done and his advice on trim was helpful. They were prompt, kept the scheduled appointments, and cleaned up all the debris. I couldn't have asked for more from them. I highly recommend Jay's Painting and have already recommended him to friends. Would most definately use him again.

Look no further for a painting company. Jay was fantastic and very detail oriented. He worked with me on color, retexturing, and all in a short timeframe. He didn't cut any corners and fixed numerous problems i barely noticed. He and his crew were on time, thoughtful, hard working, trustworthy (we gave them the key to the house), and cleaned up. Everything was perfect and he was there from start to final walk through, working with his team. We are extremely pleased and wouldn't even get a second opinion if we need a painter again.

Jay (John) and crew did a fantastic job. I tried to get four quotes from painters, all highly-rated on Angie's List. One said he would call me back and didn't. Of the three that I got bids from, Jay's bid was the lowest by about $700. We walked around the house and looked at it during his formulation of the bid, and I mentioned that I wanted the window frames, etc. "wrapped" so that their sides that jut out were the same color as their fronts; the builder paint job we had was poor and the frames were not wrapped. Jay wrote up the bid for me, and after talking to the other two painters that bid on the job we selected Jay - not just because he was the cheapest but because he seemed the most interested in the job. The other guys spent half of their time here telling me what they wouldn't do while Jay focused on asking questions and telling me what he would do. We didn't need to pick out colors - we have a very strict HOA that we had already gained approval of our colors from. Jay recommended a brand and type of paint for us, and after doing some research on it we decided that we also liked that aspect of Jay's bid. So I called Jay and told him we wanted him to do the work and we agreed on a time for him to come and get the contract signed. As I waited for him to arrive at the designated time I noticed that nowhere in his contract had he mentioned that we wanted the trim wrapped, and I remembered that as we had discussed it he had mentioned that it would cost an extra $500 and take two painters about half a day of work to do that. Sure enough, when he showed up he confirmed that his bid didn't include the cost of wrapping the trim so the cost advantage of using him shrunk considerably when adding in the extra $500. But we stuck with him anyway because, as mentioned earlier, he just seemed like he would be easier to work with than the other painters we'd spoken with. Jay and his son showed up at the appointed time on the appointed day to power wash the house, a Saturday about two weeks after we'd signed the contract. Everything went just fine with this exercise, and they took extra care around our plants and other items that were kind of in their way. Power washing was done in just a couple of hours. The crew then showed up on the following Monday to paint the house; by Jay's estimate it would take them all week, perhaps into the following Saturday. Jay and his crew set right to work with a purpose; the crew was very professional and very focused. They did a great job of cleaning up every day while the job was underway, and they moved patio furniture and such items that were too close to the house for their ladders. They had quoted us for two coats of paint but had to use four coats, at least on the bottom floor of the house, because the previous color was so dark; they absorbed the extra cost without raising their bid. They pointed out some wood trim that was dry rotted and asked if we wanted it replaced; we did, and for essentially the extra cost of materials they did a great job of replacing the rotted wood. They did a fantastic job of scraping off old caulk and sanding areas that were left uneven or rough before by the builder; the trim especially looked so much better when they were done, paint notwithstanding, because of their attention to detail. Jay also made sure to spend some time with me each morning during the job, walking around the house and asking any questions that had come up during the previous day. He was very focused on getting things right, and his crew was committed to doing quality work. As it turned out they did finish the job on Friday instead of having to go into Saturday. I met Jay and paid him on Friday afternoon after walking around the house one last time with him. He took the time to show me how to clean off some old caulk that was on my window frames, which he couldn't paint over without painting the actual frames. My only complaints about this whole experience came after the fact. Foremost, I found more cleanup work than I had expected after the crew departed. There was some masking material - tape and paper balls - here and there throughout the shrubbery. I also had to move much of my patio furniture back where it had been originally; thankfully they had moved the heaviest pieces back roughly where they went so I just had to scoot those a bit whereas I had to carry some other chairs, a patio umbrella, etc. and move a grill from one area of the yard to their usual spots. It probably took me about 90 minutes to get everything cleaned up and put back in the right place, plus I noticed one door threshold that they had missed (and I had missed during the final walkthrough) that I had to paint myself that Friday after they'd gone. My other (very minor) complaint is that they didn't leave me a whole lot of extra paint; one of the crew commented that I had almost a gallon of each color left, but I found that I actually had less than half a gallon of each color; however, considering the amount of paint Jay provided above and beyond his bid as mentioned earlier, I really had no grounds to complain in this regard. In the end the job that Jay and his crew did looks very nice, and they did it very efficiently and conducted themselves very professionally while they were here (as opposed to the other highly-rated painter I used at our previous house, where my neighbors complained about them yelling at each other all day and throwing tape balls at each other). I would recommend Jay pretty highly, and I would use him again if I needed a painter. And for what it's worth, like some of Jay's other customers on Angie's List, I have had a couple of neighbors comment on how nice the house looks - maybe that's an indirect reference to how bad it looked before, but I think at least some of it stems from the care that Jay and his crew devoted to their work.

Jay?s Painting Service did a fabulous job of painting the exterior of our 2600 square-foot stucco home and iron fencing. Jay squeezed us in between two other jobs, just so our house would be painted with our time line for completion. Because he wanted us to be happy with our color choices, he made special trips to our house to paint sample wall, trim, and door colors. Jay and his crew were efficient, on-time, and hard-working. Jay took an active role in all aspects of the job, and personally worked with his crew, even after spending some time in the ER. The smallest details were noticed and fixed, like the color on the sliding port on our down spout. Jay and his crew did more than what was written in the contract, such as pruning the Star Jasmine off the iron fencing. Our side gate now swings open, without the bolt scrapping against the wall. Our address sign is glowing, because Jay bought and installed bulbs for the address sign, making an extra trip to so do. The house looks stunning, and the neighbors are enjoying the view too. We are very happy with the way our house looks. Thanks, Jay and crew!

Very professional. On time, polite and did an excellent job. Jay powerwashed the house the week before and then had the house painted in two days. Many comments from my neighbors on how great the house looked.

The crew was always on time and very courteous to the residents. They did an outstanding job of preparing, painting, and clean-up. Jays Painting Service did an excellent job painting the exterior of our 1500 square foot house. Jay was very prompt in providing an estimate and stuck to the original estimate in completing the job even though there was additional dry rot repair discovered and repaired during the job. Jay also did a great job at ensuring that I was comfortable with the color selection by painting various color schemes on the house in advance for me to get an idea of the colors. Jay and his crew were able to start the job on a Friday and were done by Sunday. The crew did a great job at prepping the house for painting, moving everything away from the house, and covering all external patio, walkway, plants, etc. The entire crew was polite, responsive, and was always willing to answer questions throughout the job. They completed the job on schedule and the house looks wonderful. I have received a number of compliments from neighbors. They even installed new lighting fixtures and hose reels in place of the old and painted the old house numbers to a perfect match for the new lights. Their clean up was perfect and they moved everything back in its place. You could definitely tell that customer satisfaction was important to the entire crew from the beginning of the job to the end of the job which I appreciated immensely. I would recommend Jays Painting Service to anyone looking for an excellent painting service. In fact I will likely use them again in the future to do interior painting work and recommend them to anyone who will listen. You honestly can't go wrong using Jays Painting Service.

Jay and his guys were here every morning, bright and early, at 7:30. The first day they were supposed to start we had a pouring rain storm. No problem for Jay and his guys. Instead of Thursday through Saturday, they prepped and painted Friday through Sunday. They replaced all screens. The only bad thing is that the house looks so good now, our old sunscreen frames need to be painted (not Jay's job). Jay even spray-painted our house numbers before he put them back on the house. Jay and his guys are real artists and we had the very real feeling that they treated our home like their own. You can tell they are proud of their work. They cleaned up every bit of tape and paper and plastic used to mask while painting. We had gotten two or three other estimates. Jay was not the lowest, but he was nowhere near the highest. We were contacted and given a sales pitch by a company desperate to get a good Angie's List review, almost pleading with us to give them a try. No such hard sell from Jay. All you get from Jay is a fair and honest deal. My wife wasn't sure whether we should stay with colors close to the ones we had or to try new ones. She put Jay to the test and through the wringer, asking him to bring several samples, which he gladly and willingly did. I am sure that he was able to do that because his crew is so good, he could take time away from another job to satisfy the next customer. Jay, all I can say is, you went way above and beyond the call of duty. We are more than satisfied. I would recommend Jay's Painting Service to my friend's and family. He did such a great job, and uses such high quality paints, that I doubt that we will ever need his services again. But, if we ever do, he will be the one we call.

My husband and I highly recommend Jay's painting company. We have used several contractors from Angie's List and Jay, by far, provided the best service. Jay's quote was $3500 for our one story, 1800 square foot home. The price was exactly what he quoted. Jay was commissioned to paint the exterior of our home. We also needed some repairs to our outside beams. We recently had our beams cut flush with the home because of dry rot. The other contractor did a terrible job of cutting them. Jay and his team were able to use Bondo to fix the beams and make them look amazing! We were astounded at the difference. Jay then preceded to take a full 3 days to scrap off all of the old paint, caulk the seams, mask everything, and paint 2 coats of paint. We had the house and eaves painted gray and the garage door, chimney and fascia painted white. I was a little unsure of my paint choices, but Jay assured me that he had recently done another house with these same colors and it would look amazing. It does! I love the modern look it gave our home. Jay also recommended that we paint the gutter spouts the same gray as the home. They look perfect painted gray to blend into the house. Jay and his team were always punctual. They were professional and responsible. It was obvious that Jay took pride in his work and loved painting homes. We have had 2 other painting companies do work on our home and neither one of them comes close to comparing to the work he did. We also had Jay fix some dry rot wood siding to our home before he started painting. He had another professional work with him on this. They replaced 6 wood siding sheets. Robert even had to cut around a gas line and did an outstanding job! The additional cost for this part of the work was $500 plus about $450 for the wood. Again, it was well worth the price. Jay is exceptional at what he does and he will definitely be our "Go To Guy" for any other painting work we need done in the future.

They came out right away and provided a quote that included materials and labor. we discussed doing some extra work that may come up in the future but there was no pressure to push that work forward. They stuck with the price quote and we set a begin date. They started the job promptly and provided updates as they worked. I have waited a bit to write the review so I could be sure I was happy with their workmanship and I can still say the paint work is looking great. I have recommended them to other people getting some paint work done and will do so in the future.

They were prompt, efficient and professional. They stuck to their timeframe and cleaned up. They didn't get paint on anything they shouldn't. They did a great job for a great price. I would recommend them and use them again The only negatives were that they rehung some plant hangers upside down and they turned off the water to the irrigation system to protect the paint job but forgot to turn it back on. We were traveling so it took two weeks for us to realize that some of the landscaping was damaged. No big deal considering the great job they did.

Jay's Painting Service, Inc. is a fabulous company. Jay and his crew, Josh, Antoine and Justin, are consummate professionals and artisans. They transformed a rundown home with extensive dry rot into a beautiful home. I now find myself eagerly turning the corner onto my street to see my new house. Since my first meeting with Jay I felt a trust and confidence in him. He gave a careful inspection of my house and gave me a quote for both the painting and the dry rot repair, with the understanding that the dry rot repair estimate may change upon closer inspection. When I hired him, he came out a second time with Justin to take measurements for the lumber needed to repair the dry rot. One area of dry rot was identified that he hadn't noticed before. This brought up both labor and materials cost a little bit. In the end, the materials cost was a little less than Jay had estimated and the labor cost was exactly what we had agreed upon in the contract. Robert Calvo, a colleague of Jays, did the dry rot repair, and he did an excellent job. After the dry rot repair, my house was power washed, minor repairs were done and the house was painted. The crew paid close attention to detail, such as repairing all of the cracks and holes in the stucco and painting the outdoor lamps as some examples. There were some parts of the front of my house that needed extra coats of primer, as much as 5-6 coats in some cases. The eaves are the original wood but they look like new wood with the careful prep work by the crew. They truly went the extra mile to make sure that my house was going to look great and that I would be happy. Jay really understands customer service. He and his crew were punctual. He responds to calls quickly. He works with you to select colors. He has offered to come back to do any paint touch up needed once my new storm doors are installed and to put up new porch light, house numbers and doorbell at the same time since I hadn't picked these out yet. In other words, he cares about you as a customer and takes great pride in his work. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves each day. They were pleasant to talk to. They were great. I would highly recommend Jay's Painting Services, Inc. to anyone.

Jay was easy to reach (as opposed to countless voicemails I left for other painters), came to our house and gave an estimate. Next day showed up sharp at 8am with another painter and started the work. Everything was covered, taped, very clean and professional. We are happy with the outcome, they even swept the driveway.

The painting was exemplary and wonderful. The touch was great I have high praises for him. I added some more stuff and the price was fair. I'm really happy with the price. Everyone who saw the painting said it was beautiful.

Busy time of year I guess. I hold nothing against this company, he just failed to call back after our initial conversation. It happens and that is the only reason for the rating given.

If I could give Jay's Painting Service an A+++++, I would! We've had experiences with many painters over the decades, but none came close to the excellence of this service provider. We were completely happy with every aspect of the job. Jay and his crew were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable & professional. One whole day was dedicated to prep work, including replacement of weather-damaged siding. After the job started, some unexpected repairs came up (not unusual for a 30-year old house), but Jay took care of them at no extra charge. Also, there was an unexpected gutter/rotten post issue in the entrance way, but Jay came up with a solution & re-configuration of the entrance, again at no extra charge. Jay is very knowledgeable about all paint products. He used a special new paint on our metal front door that dried in 10 minutes. It looks great! Most outstanding attributes were Jay's perfectionism, attention to detail, and desire for complete customer satisfaction. Jay and his crew go above and beyond. The house looks GREAT.
