Jay spent quite a bit of time talking about the best paint for the job during the estimation process. He listened to what we wanted to do and made sure we had what would fit us best. We have young kids and being able to clean the walls easily is important. Jay and his crew said they would be here at 8:00 and they arrived at 7:58 which was a great start. They were prepared, professional, and worked efficiently. They took the time to mask and cover everything then split up the work to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. They took time to even fix drywall that was scraped up. They picked up very well after every day and then even made sure things were clean. He went around us from room to room and made sure we were happy and they touched up everything we found (we was not much). He made sure we were happy before moving onto the next area to examine. He cares about his customers and his crew works hard. They finished the job in two days which was great as it was done quickly. We would very much hire him again.

Jay inspected our home for dry rot repair and paint estimate. His price was the best we received. When they came to start the project they discovered additional dry rot as the repairs were done. Jay charged us for the additional materials but not the labor. They did an excellent job on the repairs and painting. After the work was done they cleaned up and left no trace of workmen. Jay walked the final day and found a few areas he felt needed additional work. We didn't notice them but he did and had them fixed. We were very pleased with the final results and recommended Jay to neighbors.

Jay and his crew repainted the exterior and the entire interior of the home I inherited from my Mother. The exterior had not been painted since 1972 and it looked awful. The most challenging part of the exterior painting was me selecting the color I wanted it painted! They patched all cracks and repaired missing stucco, scraped peeling paint, taped everything, primed where necessary, and applied two coats of paint. The house looks fantastic and there wasn't any trace of a mess or a broken plant. The interior was in even worse shape as my Mother was a heavy smoker and the walls and ceiling were stained with smoke residue. Jay told me that a shellac primer was the best way to go with smoke residue. They repaired 45 years of accumulated damage like holes in sheetrock, cracks, etc. They primed everything and then applied two coats of paint. They also painted all the wood work. Jay even replaced two closet doors that had holes in them. It looks wonderful. Jay and his crew took great care with my home. The house was in need of much TLC and is important to me. The entire team understood that and went above and beyond what I expected. It was like I did the work myself except it only took a week instead of the six months it would have taken me. The front door looks so good I'm not going to replace it as I had been planning on doing. Thanks for everything Jay and please thank your crew. Great bunch of guys.

John from the very beginning was punctual, professional and just an all around nice and honest human being. His group of merry men were the same as John. I was extremely pleased with all of them. My house went from a drab and a not so beautiful space to a wonderful and beautiful home. When I drive up I just think WOW!!!! I can't thank them enough for being such great guys to work with!!!

When we contacted John he immediately made an appointment to come and give us an estimate. When we pointed all the siding repair that was needed he let us know that it was far more than he usually tackled . John gave us the name of a contractor who he had worked with many times and whose work was the highest quality. John and his crew were professional and friendly. Willing to work with you to make sure you ended up with the best experience plus a quality paint job. John helped us chose our colors and select a quality paint. We are extremely pleased with the quality of work and would not hesitate to recommend John's company to anyone who asks. We would also use John again for any painting projects we have.

John was in contact with us right away. He came out and gave us an estimate and a timeline in which he would be able to start. We told him if he had cancellations that we would welcome an earlier start. He called and asked to start 2 weeks ahead of time. They power washed on the first weekend then came on Thurs to paint. The crew arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They were completely finished and cleaned up by late afternoon. Great job! We are so happy and would recommend them to anyone.

Jay and his crew took great care to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction and they completed the job in 3 rather than the originally quoted 4 days. They handled our furniture with care, remounted high (over 15 feet) hanging large art pieces and protected the floors and furniture appropriately. Jay and each member of his crew were exceedingly friendly and courteous as well as efficient and always professional. They showed-up each day exactly at 8:00 AM as was scheduled. They also cleaned up after each day and made sure that the floors were clean. The job was done for exactly the quoted price including addition of a couple of extras. In short, I give Jay my strongest recommendation for interior painting and intend to use his painting service in the future.

Jay was responsive to the initial telephone inquiry and set up an appointment to review the work in a very expedited manner. He arrived the for appt on time and performed a 30 minute review of the work we needed done. We never heard from him again. He never provided a written proposal even after I sent him an email inquiry to him a week later.

Working w jay was a pleasure; he was patient w my many concerns and indecisions, making various trips here; he was always easy to get hold of by phone or call back. He well oversaw his team of 3, all of whom were good workers and pleasure to work with. His advice was good, the Job was beautiful, and i feel he took care of all my concerns . He then returned and had my patio cover made like new again. It was good to deal w an owner/boss directly; makes for more accurate communication and more helfpul and clear both directions. They were on time. I will probably use them again. They could have improved on the interaction. Jay was not great initially. They left the area fine.

The initial bid was reasonable. The Contractor was always on time and professional. The quality of the exterior paint work appears very good. The Painter was amenable to coming back and completing a couple of very minor tasks after the basic work was completed; and did so just as promised. Excellent, friendly work crew; easy to work with. We would definitely hire this Contractor again.

Jay was punctual and professional. He performed the work I asked for and more. I asked him to tell me if he found any areas of dry rot that needed repair before painting over it. I expected he would find some and he found all the spots I suspected needed repair. His crew was friendly and it was a pleasure having them work on my house. This is an update - 12/8/2015. I found an exterior electrical outlet, used for Christmas lights, Jay had replaced and wasn't working. I called him on a Sunday expecting to leave a message but he answered. He came out the very next day and repaired the outlet. I would highly recommend him and will call him again if I need any more painting.

John and his team was absolutely wonderful. He was true to his words when he told me if he founded additional dry rot work, he would not charge me extra; not to be concerned about extra charges once work began. He and his team were meticulous in their work; can't tell that repairs were made to the house. The paint job look absolutely beautiful. John did an excellent job of supervising the work and was diligent in asking me as the homeowner if I was satisfied with the work during the entire process. He and his team were professional and courteous. I highly recommend him.

Jay came and provided a quote in a very timely manner; since our house had a bit of dry rot on the eaves, he also agreed to have a licensed contractor come out to fix that and included that in his quote. His competitiors had all insisted I myself find a contractor for these repairs beforehand, so this was a big time and hassle saver. Him and his folks worked hard for four days during the July heatwave of >100° (five days if you count cleaning). They were punctual professional and courteous. They did a great job at caulking and painting the house with no overspray, and cleaned up after themselves. After the walkaround, Jay quickly fixed the remaining items to our full satisfaction. Unfortunately Jay found some dry rot on the decking while cleaning, so we had to cancel the paint of the decking which was in the original scope of work.Jay was fair in calculating the price change for this scope reduction. I will use his services again when we need more paint work done.

Excellent service. Jay went over what wood needed to be replaced on the home and was upfront on the cost of all the supplies/labor. Very professional and punctual. Highly recommended

Jay, the owner, met with me for an estimate. His was the lowest out of 3 estimates I took. I picked him not for the pricing but for attention to details. He was the only contractor to suggest replacing 2 worn boards that were cracked at the bottom. He also replaced boards due to dry rot. His estimate included filling all stucco cracks, replacing boards and caulking. His crew did a lot of prep work for these items and I didn't find any missed. They also replaced a short molding board along roof line that had been missing for years without me mentioning it. Jay consulted with me on paint for door and special trim on accent of garage door windows. Jay went over the entire job and touched up anything until it was perfect, including extra coats on the front door. Jay and his crew were polite, professional and seemed to work well together. Clean-up was quick and well done. I am recommending him to friends and will use him again for inside work.

Jay is very knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. He has great communication skills and listened to all of our concerns. He and his crew did a great and thorough job. He was always punctual and made good estimates of when the job would be complete. I highly recommend him. He did a great job.

Our experience with Jay?s Painting was very positive. John and his crew were very professional and knowledgeable. They're friendly manner and willingness to keep us abreast of what was happening made the whole experience a joy. The final result was better than we expected. Can?t say enough good things about the work they do. Throughout the job they did a daily walk-around inspection of the house and noted any items that needed attention and were very receptive to our concerns and questions. John was able to find eight-foot door seals for our front door and installed them, making the door weather proof. This was just one example of his attention to detail that made working with Jay?s Painting a very favorable experience. I would recommend Jay?s Painting because it is an honest, hardworking and caring outfit to do business with.

Jay's painting was one of seven or eight painting contractors I contacted to discuss painting the exterior of my house. I limited my search of potential painters to owner-operated business because I prefer to have the person I contract with on site when the job is done. Jay (aka John Zasada) responded to my initial message in a timely manner and was able to come to my house in the Arden area of Sacramento within a reasonable time after that. Jay was attentive when I told him what I wanted done and also made helpful suggestions. I showed Jay the specific Kelly Moore paint that my wife and had chosen and he factored that into his bid, which he wrote on the spot. Jay pressure-washed the house and shed a few days prior to painting it. He and his crew showed up when he said they would on the first day of painting. They moved the many potted plants and other things that were close to the house, as well as removing lights, house numbers, mailbox, etc. Jay's painters have been with him for a number of years. Two of them accompanied Jay the first day of painting and three on the second day. The job went well. One of the painter's walked around the house with me as they were nearing completion of the job and the few minor things that I saw were addressed right away. The crew put back everything that had been removed prior to painting and there was no over-spray or paint spills. My house looks great! I recommend Jay highly.

I would give him "A's" in everything. He's really great. He moves stuff around. He's careful with your things and is very careful with your plants outside. He cleaned up afterhimself perfectly. He also was watering the plants last summer because it was very hot. They cover things when they're painting. I looked out and he's got the crew out there watering the plants. They knew that I was worried about my plants, so they thought that they were wilting a little and watered them before they left. They were very nice.

Three words come to mind when I think of Jay. Punctual, honest, and meticulous. When I first met Jay, I knew in my gut that I found the right person to paint our home. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and he genuinely cares that you have the best experience. Jay made the entire process painless, and took care of finding all the materials to fix our siding with dry rot and made recommendation to repair minor imperfections on the exterior of the house. Our home had some particularly hard to find siding materials, but he knew just where to go to get the materials we needed. Jay is the first contractor that I did not have to remind about some aspect of the job. Also, he was always on time and remembered every detail we discussed about the job. Our home has never looked better. Jay and his crew do amazing work. I have no reservation recommending him and his crew to friends, family, and our neighbors.
