Description of Work: I asked Home Base to diagnose a functionality problem with a desktop computer that was suspected of being water damaged from a ceiling leak in an office. He performed the diagnosis and concluded that - due to the age and brand of the PC - a circuit on the motherboard had failed that probably wasn't worth the replacement cost of board. He showed me a work-around, however, that solved the problem without any parts replacement.

Description of Work: The display on laptop went black. The repair person listened to my description and found the bad magnetic switch. He also delivered the computer to my home after work on Friday which was very nice.

Description of Work: I have an old Dell laptop that one of the hinges connecting the display to the main box had broken. Also, the keyboard wasn't working. They gave me a rough estimate for the work over the phone, I took it in, they looked at it and gave me a firm estimate, and did the work as promised. They also looked at the software for spyware at my asking without charge. Friendly and competent.

+ -1 moreI TOOK ONLY THE HARD DRIVE IN SO THEY CAN SEE WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM I WAS HAVING. THEY COULDN'T TELL ME A PRICE UNTIL THEY LOOKED INSIDE AND SAW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLE AND PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE.
Description of Work: THEY CLEANED UP MY COMPUTER FROM ANY VIRUSES AND THERE WERE MANY. IT RUNS MUCH FASTER NOW.
