Harmon Home Inspections

I don't recall how much we spent since the inspection was last summer; however, I don't remember the price being unreasonable. The inspection went extremely well. Robert identified a potential costly roof repair that we were able to get the seller to take care of before close of escrow. He also identified some issues with some of the windows that we used to negotiate a seller credit. I would highly recommend.

Robert was completely professional & addressed all of my concerns with the house. Extremely informative. He got into the attic as well as the crawlspace beneath the home. Full report is pending, but just off today's experience, I have nothing but straight A's for him here. Would recommend/hire again.

Fast turnaround for inspection report. Only knock was the price ..which was 75 dollars more than my friend's inspecter wih the angie's list discount. Otherwise, great experience!

Robert was super thorough throughout the whole house, from top to bottom and all corners of the lot. After he's done he'll take you around every room and give you a run down of what he saw (or didn't see). He takes pictures and video of all of the potential problems and assembles a report describing the problems. He finished our report within 5 hours (!), allowing us to get the sellers to start fixing the problems ASAP. A good home inspector is worth every penny, and Mr. Harmon is top notch.

Rob did a great job. He made us feel comfortable during the inspection and fielded all of our silly questions. His knowledge and depth were top notch. From the top of our roof to the bottom of the crawl space he looked at everything, took videos of some of the harder to reach areas with points of concern, and documented every finding with pictures. His report was beyond what I expected, everything documented in a way anyone could understand. At the end of the inspection he walked us through everything he found and explained what it meant and how important/quickly it should be resolved. The report was in our hands the next day even though he did our inspection on New Years Eve. Bottom line, can't say enough good stuff about this guy!

Robert inspected the entire home in question. He went into attics and crawl spaces throughout the property. He checked electrical/wiring and plumbing. He checked the heating system, stairwells, windows, walls, and every nook and cranny. He checked the entire outside of the property as well, including the roof condition, and surrounding structures and paths. Robert is great to work with. He took his time walking us through the home as he pointed out all of his concerns. He actually found many things the owner's inspector missed in their report. He answered all of our questions on the spot. It is obvious that he is extremely knowledgeable in very aspect of home manufacture. We feel like we know exactly what we are getting into buying this house. And we feel like we know all the major issues we will have to look for in the future. Even his report is sweeping and broad with tons of photos showing exact issues in many instances. It was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend him to everyone in need of a home inspection.

Performed a residential home inspection on a house we purchased. Very thorough inspection and report and had it to us the next day! Would definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Harmon was at our house for about 2 hrs. He was very polite and unobtrusive. He found minor problems that he both verbally explained and documented in a report along with photographs that he later sent to us. We also received a video! The peace of mind of having a professional like Harmon do our inspection was invaluable. We would definitely call him again.

Robert was prompt, professional and extremely thorough. I had to find someone quickly and was new to the area. Robert took the time to explain everything even pointing out where all valves and shutoffs were for water, gas etc. His report was one of the most thorough and.comprehensive I have ever seen. He even included video of areas that were hard to access such as crawl spaces etc. and really took the time to highlight everything. I would absolutely use and recommend Robert again.

Rob was extremely thorough. The seller had a home inspection done by another provider and they only completed a fraction of the tasks that Rob did. Most inspectors only visually check the roof but Rob got a ladder and went onto the roof and took various pictures of problem areas. The other provider checked very few things outside. He caught loose ground connections with the pool sub panel, issues with the pool pump, dry rot on exterior deck (not included in pest report or in the other general inspectors report), exterior fence.... I would hire Rob again in a heartbeat.

I called Robert and he came out to my home the very next day. He was on time, professional and courteous. Robert went over EVERY part of my house with a fine-tooth comb. He is extremely thorough and didn't miss a thing. He walked me through his inspection afterwards answering any questions I had. Robert's report was delivered within 24 hours and is incredibly clear, easy to read for a layman and even includes videos of his findings. As mentioned in other reviews, Robert used a thermal camera to test my heat vents and even found a small leak from my dishwasher (that had gone completely unnoticed by myself). He sent me recommendations for contractors to fix the issues in my property. I've had my share of contractors and workmen out to my house, but would have to say Robert's honesty, work ethic and manner is the best I've dealt with. Would HIGHLY recommend.

I would hire Robert again in a heartbeat. He walked us through everything he'd found and went into great detail. His report will make it so easy to fix everything and make the house perfect.

The inspection took about 2 hours, plus about an hour to walk through and look at / talk about the items needing attention. Robert was easy to talk to and clear about needed changes, options for repairs, safety requirements, and strong points/positive aspects of the home. We got a thorough report and are feeling confident and happy about our purchase, knowing we understand what needs to be done. We are very impressed and grateful for the fine work. Thank you!

If I never find another service provider through Angie's List other than Harmon Home Inspections, I will consider my memberships dues as money WELL spent. I could not be more pleased with my experience. I contacted Rob after reading his reviews here on Angie's List, and hired him to provide a home inspection on a house I had been in contract to purchase. He arrived at the property even before *I* did (admittedly, I was five minutes late, oddly enough because I was checking out another property... but that's another story), and immediately got to work. He was SO INCREDIBLY THOROUGH, taking his time with everything, never rushing, and spend a solid 2 1/2 hours pouring over every nook and cranny with a fine-tooth comb. And for a house that was less than 900 square feet? That's a lot of time. After he was done, he took me on a detailed walk-through, going over the major points of his findings, never once rushing, and pausing to answer every single question I'd had. I found him calm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Being that my appointment was on a Saturday, I wasn't expecting to receive the detailed report until Monday, so I was pleasantly surprised when an email came through the very next day, stating that my report was ready to view. I pulled it up, and lo' and behold, a MASSIVE tomb of information had been sent my way, complete with color photos, videos, and computerized arrows pointing things out in said pictures... very useful for us OCD types frazzled by the home-buying process. I seriously can not begin to describe just how well put-together his reports are, and they read in a very simplified manner, explaining everything in clear and concise language. I have since walked away from the aforementioned home, in large part because of Rob's findings, and am now in contract on another home (actually, the one I'd been touring which had caused me to be late for my own appointment). I have the Home Inspection scheduled in two days, and you guessed it... Rob will be the one performing the service again. I wouldn't even THINK about going to someone else.

He was on time, thorough, and fast. He checked the relative humidity of the wood work, as well as using a thermal camera to see if there was further leaking where we couldn't see it.

Robert was extremely responsive and professional with his inspection from beginning to end. He answered the appointment call promptly, showed up on time to the job and took very detailed pictures of the findings. I received the report at 5::30AM the next day. Talk about fast turnaround. The report was very detailed and helpful in making repairs. I even utilized his report to get the seller of the house to reimburse $1500 of the cost associated. Thank you very much!

He was incredibly professional. He was 15 minutes early and got to work right away. He brought all his own equipment and went all over the roof details, the property, the pool, under the house, the garage, the pool house...everywhere! I wasn't able to make my appointment any earlier in the day than the afternoon, so I wasn't expecting that I would get the report the very next morning! I was very impressed with his service and would use him again in a heartbeat!

We are on a tight schedule to get the deal closed, so I needed someone who could respond promptly, which Robert did. Also, I was pleased with the report I received which was very thorough.

He was very thorough, there was a 42 page report with videos and pictures, he did an excellent examination very knowledgable and notices everything. Couldn't be more happy with his service. This is something I will have for years to come. I will have him back on any of my properties, and probably have him back in a few years just to have a more recent reporting on the home he inspected.

Mr. Harmon's service was excellent from beginning to end. He responded to our telephone message immediately and scheduled a prompt appointment fat our convenience for the inspection. He arrived as scheduled and was highly professional and amicable. At the end of the physical inspection, Mr. Harmon gave us an oral report. He followed-up the very next day with a detailed, comprehensive written report with detailed photographs. We recommend him very highly.

Robert's inspection was an absolutely great, professional, thorough, and pleasant inspection, despite the fact that as a result we heard a lot of bad news. I strongly recommend him as a house inspector. I wished I had his services when we bought the house we presently own, which is the house he inspected. I think Angie's list award to his services is without doubt very well deserved.
