Had previous good experience with them so asked to have them come out again. Friendly and nice and did an ok job of cleaning. There were several things overlooked. For example, they didn't clean between chairs and end tables where it obviously needed to be cleaned and I needed to go through later and hand clean. They broke my ceiling fan by pulling the blades downward to dust. He said he'd be back the next day but didn't show or call. I asked them about it several times and they say they'll check with Ron but here it is two months later and I've had to fix it myself. There were also problems with my laminate flooring. Within days of them leaving, I had a horrible smeary residue all over the floor. They called to see how the service was and when I told them, they offered to come back and fix. They came back for two hours and the floor looked better. Another peeve was that they don't seem to be able to stick to a scheduled time. The first time, we had a set time and I scheduled around it. They called the night before and asked if they could come earlier which I couldn't. I raced home to be there on time and they didn't show for an hour since they thought Rocklin was off of Hwy 50. The next time they called to see if I could change it again last minute and I couldn't since I was working around a Dr. appt. Again, they were late. On a good note, they kept me informed as their schedule changed but I am not in a position to be quite so flexible. The final thing is that I paid by check when they came out and completed the job. Then they repeatedly sent me invoices and called asking for my payment. I responded by email twice and finally got a response and they stopped asking. mi

The first time they came to clean I had a good experience. However correspondence has always been poor. I'm not even reviewing that issue They were to come clean before my Christmas Party in Dec. they were to arrive between 10/11. Received a phone call from the owner they were running late. Could they come at 2:15 At 3:15 I called still running late could they come at 5 or 6. Seriously they would be here until 9 /10PM Therefore I needed to find another housekeeper to clean my house as I was having a big Christmas Party in 3 days. VERY INCONVENIENT The owner offered me 4 free hrs. Ok after much confusion with his wife I rescheduled for Jan. 22. 2 young men came bound and determined to impress me. Did a great job cleaning my 3 bathrooms and half of my kitchen in an 8 hr. cleaning time. MY HOUSE IS NOT A DIRTY HOUSE. I made it very clear on arrival I wanted my entire house cleaned. Which is very doable in an 8 hr. period as I have had a housekeeper for 15 yrs. so after the 8 hr. period they told me they were done. My house was NOT CLEAN, except my sparkling bathrooms. VERY POOR TIME MANAGEMENT! after talking with the owner telling them to stay until my house was clean. They worked another 2 1/2 hrs. My house was still not clean. I had to leave so was not there when they left after a 14hr clean time. Did not do a walk thru with my son as they said they would do. my den, my family room and living room were not completely clean, no vacuuming in the den and living room, partial in family room. I tied to give this young couple a chance. This was a a VERY STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE. I am disputing to get my money Refunded. You should not have to clean your house after a 14 hr. cleaning service has been there. They came at 11, they left at 6. 2 people my house should have had a full detailing in that time!!!!

Description of Work: I purchased a groupon for this company back in August 2012. When I called in Nov 2012 to schedule an appt, I was told that I couldn't get an appt until Feb 2013. I tried to get a refund from groupon and when it was apparent they wouldn't do so, I called Green Freaks back in Jan 2013 and got an appt. for Feb 22. When I hadn't heard from them the day before to confirm my appt, I called the company to make sure I still had an appt. After several calls and a few hours, someone from the office finally called and said they had inadvertently put my appt for March 22. They rescheduled for Feb 28 to which the day before they had to reschedule due to worker illness. The appt was moved to Mar 6 from 4-5pm. On Mar 2 they called to see if they could move the appt again. I said no and the appt remained as scheduled. They called again Mar 5 to move the time up to 2-3. I also said no as I was in school at that time so the appt was kept as scheduled. Mar 6 they called me several times at 1:30 telling me they were at my home. When I finally got out of school I called the office to find out what was their reason for this incompetence. After being told more lies and lines, I was fed up with the company and informed them of such. They decided to cancel the appt and give my money back instead. Bottom line, do not use this company. I am not the only one they have pulled this stunt with. Read about them from other reviewers. They did offer to give me an additional hour of service, to which I politely declined saying I would never use their service again. At that point they did their best to get out of the appt. Frankly, after reading their subpar reviews online, I think I would be much happier with a refund.

When I first contacted this company, the first appointment they had was several months out. Sure, no problem, I can understand if they got booked heavily because of their promotion. The day before their appointment time on October 4th, I received an email from the owner stating that she had "a crew full of sick people, and after calling around today, I have not been successful in finding suitable back up." Well, okay, I find that somewhat suspicious that every cleaner in Sacramento could have gotten sick at the same time, especially when there is a reviewer on Yelp who had the same issue with an entire crew getting sick at once. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and attempted to reschedule. The owner thanked me for my understanding and promised that she could reschedule in the next couple of weeks. In the very next breath, she then attempted to add on a whole laundry list of services not covered by the Groupon (including inside window cleaning, which I didn't think was atypical for a cleaner to do). When I refused the additional services and said that I would reconsider if they did an initial job up to my satisfaction, I never heard from her again. I have better things to do with my time than to attempt to hunt someone down to do their job, and so I asked Groupon to cancel my deal and to refund my money. They graciously obliged. I find it a shame because I like supporting local businesses, but not if they make it clear that they are not interested in my time or money.
Description of Work: I purchased a Groupon for four man-hours of cleaning service. I recently had my bathroom remodeled and was looking for someone to clean the construction dust throughout my house and to possibly continue housekeeping services on a long-term basis, depending on my impression with the initial cleaning. I thought purchasing a Groupon would be an ideal way to test a business, particularly as companies often use Groupons as a marketing strategy to gain new customers. The work was never performed because I found it impossible to schedule an appointment with this company.

I called the GFC to redeem a Living Social coupon. The coupon was for 4 man hours of work, which I thought would be plenty for the space - especially since it was all wood floors and all the furniture had been moved out. I was told over the phone that they recommended 12 hours of work... this seemed like a lot - really does it take a full day to clean a house? We finally agreed on 8 hours and scheduled the appointment. On the day of the appointment a crew of 3 showed up, and older female, her daughter and and a male. I showed them the house, and each started on a different portion of the house - the upstairs, the downstairs and the kitchen. I was in the middle of moving, and didn't supervise much - but in the times that I did return I noticed that there wasn't much movement and it became apparent that they were not going to finish in the 2:40 minutes that we had scheduled. In fact, during that time the female in the kitchen never moved - put the entire time into it and spent the whole time on the telephone. In the end I had to purchase another hour for them to finish up, and the house did not look as if 3 people spent 3 hours. In the end it was "good enough" but definitely not a value even with the coupon.
Description of Work: I needed an 1800 SF rental house cleaned in before returning it to the landlord.

I emailed the letter below over the weekend to Green Clean Freaks. I was contacted the promptly the following Monday. A crew(the "A" team) was dispatched and arrived that afternoon to correct all the deficiencies. They worked very hard and purposefully. We were quite impressed with their efforts. They were quite knowledgeable about cleaning, products, etc. and gave us several suggestions which we will employ. We are more than satisfied and will use them in the future. Some personnel changes had been made also. It is very comforting to see an earnest and speedy response to customer dissatisfaction. Most companies these days are usually only offer "no service" when it comes to customer service. We were quite surprised and delighted with the response from Green Clean Freaks. Previously submitted last week: The crew which comprised of two young females and one male arrived late which isn't to unusual for being a later in the day appointment. But, we usually got a call if they were going to be later than stated. We received no call from Green Clean Freaks.The crew introduced themselves and went to work, one cleaner in the kitchen, one in bathroom and one in the bedroom.My Ipod died so I went to plug mine into the connection in the bedroom. Well, one of the cleaners had plugged her Iphone into my connection!After over an hour I went into the bedroom(knowing that the room just needed vacuuming and a bit of dusting and wondering what was going on). I found the girl dusting and the guy playing with his cell phone -no rag in sight, no vacuum cleaning done. From looking at the room he had not done anything except text or check his email. The crew worked very slowly and drug the work out to their maximum benefit. They really milked the job. We had to "buy" an additional 10 hours (+the 6 hour Groupon). What a mistake to pay by the hour instead of the job! In LA our crew who was paid by the job not the hour was in and out in less than two hours. Several times I had to venture into the areas here the cleaners were working, I frequently found the male worker looking at me with hostility and "why are you spying on us" attitude. He was frequently was playing with his cell phone, standing and just talking to the female workers or at other times doing redundant activities to try to look 'busy.' As for their cleaning skills:Vacuuming-The vacuuming in the bedroom done by the male worker was okay except for the dust bunnies left on the rug. Apparently, he did not see them or did not bother to look.Toilet, sink cleaning, surfaces -ExcellentFloors-Had streaks, did not look that good, just swept the floor-really did not clean it...

I originally purchased a groupon for 6 man hours. Scheduling the appointment was easy. I was called several days in advance to confirm. They arrived within the time scheduled. (We were called when they were on their way, also.) This was my first house cleaning experience, but the work was better than I had anticipated. They even stayed a little later to make sure everything was done to our specifications. Our house is nearly 3000 square feet so 6 hours worked out perfectly. A few days ago they came for the second time. They called to ask us if it was alright if they were later than expected because they were working on a huge house. We were going to be home anyway so it was fine with us. ( I do hope that doesn't happen often.) The work was even better than the first time. (This was a more experienced crew.) We are no longer capable of cleaning the house properly due to medical issues, so we hope to continue with the Green Clean Freaks on a monthly basis.
Description of Work: House cleaning. Kitchen, 3 bathrooms, scrubbed all the tile floors, vacuumed all the carpets, dusted and polished furniture and glass on 1 sliding glass door. They also cleaned the fans, etc.

First, in full-disclosure I bought a Groupon, so the amount I paid was about half of the normal cost. However, as Groupon is a method to gain new customers, I wouldn't expect half the value.I bought 4 man hours of cleaning, which was 2 house cleaners for 2 hours. Once I bought the groupon and called the business, it took 3 or 4 days to get a return call. At that point, probably due to the response to the groupon, the first Saturday appointment I could get was 2 months away. On the day of the appointment, they came 2 hours early, I was glad I was home, it would've been very frustrating to miss them after such a long wait for the appointment. When I went back to work on Monday, I found a voice mail message there telling me they would be early. It seems that if they were going to change appointment times, they should've talked to a live person before telling the crew to show up.I purposely hadn't cleaned during the week before they came, so that I would be sure I could see a difference. When they left, I sat down on my couch to enjoy my newly cleaned house, and realized my coffee table hadn't been dusted. Later in the afternoon I looked at the bathroom a little closer, and there was a fairly large section of mildew at eye level in the shower, and I thought perhaps it was a stain, but it wiped right off with a Lysol wipe. Perhaps I have a misconception of what they were going to do, but I have a small house, and in 4 hours I figured I wouldn't have to still do things like dust, and that my house would actually appear clean.Several days later the owner emailed me to thank me for hiring them and provide me with the cost of cleaning on a regular basis. It was far more expensive than I was prepared to pay for house cleaning, especially since they missed some really obvious things. I politely declined, but the owner emailed back to ask why, saying "we want you to be happy." Since she asked, I told her my observations, and sent a photo of the coffee table I'd texted a friend after they left. I never heard back from her--not an apology, not an offer to "make me happy" (which I would've declined but appreciated). I'm fortunate to have found another cleaning company that has a reasonable price and does a fabulous job.

The crews are fine, might want to request a non-smoking crew. I had one that smelled like an ashtray. My issues have been with the office stand point. The appoint confirmation calls were all over the place and payment was ridiculous, there is no reason I should have to hunt people down to pay them for their services.
Description of Work: I purchased a Groupon for 6 hours of cleaning. I had no issues scheduling an appointment. They in fact offered me a time on Sunday. 3 young gals arrived, did a fantastic job and I was happy enough to schedule another appointment. I had never had house cleaning done before but I was happy with their service. Tomorrow I have my 3rd service scheduled. ************************************************************************************************************************************ Update- I am flabbergasted and unsure where to start. I was pretty good with most of the services performed. I started to have issues with the behind the scenes work. I would call after each service to pay and sometimes it felt as though I was hunting them down to pay. The last service I had with them was on Sept 16. When I was called to confirm the Sept 30 service I realized that I had not paid for the prior service and told them this. On the 30th, I was called telling me the crew was running 1 or 2 hours late. I decided to cancel the service for the day because I had a houseguest and we had better things to do. I had a disagreement with Keri the first week in October, where she was telling me that I had not paid for services. I decided to terminate services with them at this time. I had been calling them to pay every time there was a service and I decided that I didn't want to do business with a company that cannot keep their books. Yesterday, I looked at my credit card statement and I had been charged $115.50 out of the blue by the company. I emailed (because I have laryngitis) and got no response. Today I called, I have been on the phone back and forth with them for quite a while today. I really don't understand how a company could get their books into such bad shape. They are claiming that I had not paid for 3 services in June and July. I will comb through credit card statements but sadly, I no longer have the appointments on my calendar so I am unsure of dates where the services were performed. Absolutely terrible. I was disappointed enough that although I had purchased a living social, I was going to take it as a loss because I didn't want to do business with them anymore.

I purchased their Groupon for 6 man hours of cleaning. I had to call them the evening before to confirm since I hadn't heard from them and was taking the day off work. A friend had used her Groupon a few months ago, and they didn't show up for her appointment, so I was concerned that they had not given me a courtesy reminder call. They gave me a start time of between 10:00 and 11:00, and two girls and a guy showed up about 10:15. I asked them to do the two bathrooms and the kitchen, especially the floors. If there was more time they could focus on the dining room and baseboards. I was more than a little uncomfortable when I found them dusting my nightstand! When they left there were still dust bunnies all over the dining room and in the hallway. They used a steamer on my floors and it left streaks. The floor behind both toilets had not even been touched. I have a little boy, people, you know what that means! They started taking their cleaning supplies back to their vehicle with 25 minutes to go, and had to go get things back out to finish. Two of them went outside and waited for the third, so I lost about half an hour of manpower there. The stove still was showing where the pasta from the night before had boiled over, and they didn't even clean inside the kitchen sink, just the top lip. Yes, the house was cleaner than when they started, but the things I had hoped would be cleaned weren't up to standard. My husband is not going to be pleased - money not well spent!

Just making the appointment on the phone was a disaster. I would not recommend this company unless your time is not valuable (which it must be if you're looking for someone to clean your house).
Description of Work: Very unprofessional company. Bought because a Groupon and more than a 50% discount and thought I'd give them a try as I was looking for someone new to clean my house. The first interaction with them made me regret my purchase. Who asks their client to give them a four hour window just to show up? I finally got them to agree to have their crew arrive at a specified time, (like most people have to do for their jobs) and they agreed. Then after I had to call them to confirm my appointment time, the husband of the wife who made the committment to me said she didn't and that they would never agree to such terms with a "groupon" customer. Great way to win new business there guy! I requested a refund from Groupon as I cannot let people into my home whom cannot be trusted.

They split the house up. My house was not overly dirty so it wasn't a rough job. They missed dusting a number of areas. They did clean the bathrooms OK except for the shower floors and the shower doors. They don't use strong cleansers so they could not make the shower floors white, or so they told me. Perhaps they didn't have time to remove the hard water on the shower doors or their cleansers can't do that without a lot of elbow grease. I asked for them to dust things, and I know they did some and I also understood there were things they wouldn't be doing, but the fireplace mantle wasn't dusted at all. There were still little white pieces of paper from when I was shredding paperwork last night on the floor by the shredder so that doesn't appear to have been vacummed. In the hallway the cupboards have a 3 inch space under them, they seem to have cleaned the middle of the hallway but the space under the cupboards still is dusty still. The doorway ledges were not done and are still dusty. They did clean the most of the window sills as I requested and one wiped down the blinds in the room she was doing. The others didn't touch their blinds and the window sills in all the rooms ere not wiped off. One was dusting in the living room as I was in there, she dusted around some things but didn't move anything. The floor by the front door still has dirt in the corners. For 6 man hours I'm not sure they did enough, but it is what it is. At 129 dollars for 6 hours of work (3 people x 2 hours each) comes to 21 dollars and change an hour. They arrived 3 hours early which was fine by me, but if I would have run an errand I would not have been home as I was expecting them at the agreed upon time and no one called me to say they would be early. As I said it worked fine for me to have them there earlier, but not calling might be an issue for someone else. They did not vacumm the throw rugs but they did vacuum the floors and I'm assuming they vacummed the carpets in the bedrooms. There was, though, two things, one of which was the back cover to the chair, on the floor under the chair in the bedroom so they didn't vacuum there. I certainly would not pay the full price for the quality of the work I got. At the end of the two hours they left, with one walking through the house telling me what they did.
Description of Work: This was a groupon deal for 6 man-hours. I was disappointed in the quality of the work. I had three youngish females perform the work. They were here for two hours.
