Garick Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: Had non-working central air system. First called Park Heating. They said several problems. Could replace parts but should consider replacing whole unit. Then I called Garrick. They fixed control board and said our Trane unit had reputation for long life. No need to replace. So, got straight talk, no settle selling and its working just fine.

Description of Work: Garick makes routine bi-annual checks of our HVAC system (indoor furnace plus outside unit); they check all the mechanisms, test how it is working, and clean the permanent filter. Today's service required nothing beyond that, but once or twice in the past, they have also had to do fairly minor repairs to the unit. We have been using Garick for close to 10 years, and have always had a good experience with them. The people who come to our home are prompt, professional, cheerful, and thorough. We live in a smallish condo complex in midtown and getting to our outside unit (on a deck above ground level) is a bit tricky, but they manage to do it every time. Our all-electric HVAC system is a good one but is aging, but Garick's folks have never pushed replacement or unneeded repairs on us. They did one significant repair a few years ago and the price was very reasonable. We are happy they have kept us going for years, and they will certainly be our vendor of choice when we reach the point of replacing the unit.

Description of Work: completed the new conditioner with A/C and furnace. Professional begin the scheduled at Monday, and finishing the Wednesday. Have the old pipes and old insulation -- they have trashing the old A/C.
