Warren from Garick was fantastic -- he refused payment for his speedy, impromptu repair of our unit. He was gracious when we had been forced to reschedule previously. And he was friendly, articulate, and honest. When our old tank of an HVAC unit does finally die, we'll be purchasing a new system through Garick! We're also going to be scheduling the regular inspections and maintenance that Warren suggested.

Our heater stopped working. John came out and changed out the part that needed replacing. He showed me the part that had broken and explained why it wasn't working. He changed the part and my heater is working again! He was professional and helpful. I appreciate that he didn't try to sell me a new heater and a/c although I know Garrick's does that too. If I need a new one, I will definitely call them.

They had originally installed the furnace in 2001 in this house that I purchased. The previous guys that I used had gone out of business so I called these guys. I would use them again.

Garick did a terrific job. This is a very old house, and the system was 37 years old. This job was, in their words, "advanced". They showed up on time every day. They started with removal of the old system. This took two days due to the way the old system had been installed back in the early '70's. They removed the old ductwork, the old furnace, and the old compressor. They had somebody come by several times to collect all the old equipment and junk they removed and placed at the curb. They even let us put some of our other junk on the pile so we were able to take advantage of the pick up and get rid of some of our old stuff. They next cut a new access to the attic, and built a platform and catwalk according to code for the furnace placement. Then they installed the furnace in the attic (an Amana 3.5 ton), and placed batten insulation under the platform at my request (I provided the insulation). They then installed the a/c compressor in a new location, and ran the line sets to the new furnace and compressor. They installed the new vents and returns in the new locations, cutting through the lathe and plaster ceiling with clean cuts and no residual damage. They cleaned up every night before leaving. They were here until 8 pm on the last day making sure everything was finished and the tests were successful. The Garick staff was very friendly, professional and responsive to our needs and requests. Warren, Brandon, and Turner were great to work with, and put in a lot of sweat and long days to get the job done. It was a grueling and difficult installation, but they maintained their good humor throughout. We highly recommend Garick.

These guys are great! Warren came out and did a thorough evaluation of our particular situation and helped us select an energy efficient upgraded heating and air system with an outstanding warranty. From Gary (the owner) to Warren (the sales rep) to Joel, who did much of the actual installation, these guys were prompt, reliable, competent, and down to earth. There was never any high pressure. It's a small, independently owned company that takes pride in its reputation for honesty and customer service, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results.

Warren gave me an estimate and was knowledgeable and professional. Joel and Brandon did the work and also were very professional and punctual. All work was explained to me along the way. Our house is old (1942?) and Garick was familiar with the challenges of older homes. Clean-up was exceptional, and I'm very happy with the result. There were no surprises or add-on costs. I highly recommend Garick.

He was very professional. Unlike the last H/AC person I called, he did not try to sell me a new unit that I did not need. I was surprised by the total bill of $196, compared to the telephone quote of $153, but this was because of the cost of the replacement part, which I did not realize was not covered by the quote. There was no Angie's List discount. Overall, I was very satisified.

I have known them from the time they started their business. They have been punctual, good and thorough. I have two furnaces in the main house, one separate unit in the apartment above the garage and another separate unit in the recreation room in the back. They service these four units whenever they come. Their prices also are very good.

It went fine overall. I called about scheduling an appointment and it was set up at my request for three days later. The price quoted was what was charged for the maintenance service. The serviceman also explained and left written materials about the company's planned maintenance program.

He was quick and he was friendly. He was nice. He came in and estimated the work before he did it. The cost was about the same as the estimate. He was efficient. He also reminded me to have the air conditioning rechecked in a few months when the season changed and he said he would do it for no charge.

Garick put in extra effort on the design due to the age of the house and lack of options. Price was steep but we decided this was an appropriate cost due to age of the house, quality hardware and extra cost of the switching equipment. Installation took longer than expected but they worked full days with numerous engineers. Installers made some mess that they could have avoided but didn't break things. Installers were professional and likable and worked hard to conserve basement space. The layout of ducting was superior. After installation there were some kinks. Josh and Warren were slow to respond and very reluctant to tune the system. Garick's owner explained they were in the busy (hot) season, but we suspect they were hoping we would get used to the issues. We had to read the manual and insist they try some of the tuning options it documented - which helped greatly. Design/install went very well. Getting them to make changes was like pulling teeth. It works well now.

The thing that I liked most about this company was that they were willing to do exactly what I wanted done. Other companies wanted to do different things. I thought the price was average, but it was about right considering the amount of work they did. They did a good job cleaning up when they were finished.

Steve was very professional and honest and did just what we paid him to do.

My Air conditioning hadn't been working for about a month. I found Garick on Angie's List and called to see if they could check it out. I called at 11:30 AM and was asked if I would be home between noon and three. I said yes. Steve arrived at my door at 12:10. He went on the roof and found I was low on freon. At 12:30, he adjusted my thermostat and was done. He was so kind. I'm signing up to have them check the air conditioner every six months! Thanks to all who reviewed this company! I'm grateful.

I was given a 12-2 window & Richard arrived at 12:05. After some testing he found the problem, called in the order for the circuit board, it was delivered a 1/2 hour later, he installed it, went over the repairs he did, showed me the burned circuit board, & was on his way. The whole process took approximately 2 hours.

The work was estimated to take 2-3 days. It took three days. Everything was done as estimated. The challenge was to install a new air intake system from the basement where the furnace was located to the dining room with restricted access. The skill of the workman was apparent when he had to cut into the hardware floor for the air vent exactly with no margin of error.

Very smoothly. No unexpected problems. Took 2 days which was 1 day less than expected.

We accepted Garick's bid because of the obvious professionalism of their rep (Warren Wright) who, unlike the reps from other bidders, did not do a blatant sales pitch. He obviously understood the technicalities, and was very thorough and knowledgeable when examining our house to see how the original system worked. The unit they put in was by Lennox, which has a good reputation, and theirs was the low bid by $2,000. The work was done on schedule. The men were obviously competent. They clearly explained how everything operated and did a thorough clean-up.

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THIS COMPANY DID FOR US. THEY WERE FAST, EFFICIENT, & DIDN'T TAKE UP MUCH OF OUR TIME. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL IN EVERY AREA.

They always send out a reminder so that I can set up a maintenance date with them. They are flexible with their scheduling (since I work) and are friendly and helpful.

I have been working with this company for years and find them to be honest and reliable in their work. They tell me my options and let me choose what I feel I need to do at the time.

This company is very professional and always comes when called. They check the entire system and be sure that everything is working properly. They have been a great company.

THIS COMPANY ALWAYS CALLS TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY ARE EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE AND KEEP THE SYSTEM RUNNING AT IT'S OPTIMUM CAPACITY. IF ANYTHING NEEDS TO BE FIXED THEY GIVE AN ESTIMATE.

WE USE THIS COMPANY FOR TWICE A YEAR INSPECTION AS WELL AS IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG. THEY COME OUT PROMPTLY AND FIND THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. THE PEOPLE THAT COME TO THE HOUSE ALWAYS EXPLAIN WHAT IS WRONG.
