We found this company on Angie's List and they have had an and quot;A ratingand quot;. After using them to replace just 23 ft of fence- we really are not sure why! The 2 guys that were there to do the job were SUPER unprofessional. Almost seemed like they were just hired off the street! We were wanting to use Z posts and let them know when booking the service that we still had one from our previous fence work we wanted to be sure and use. They said they would factor that in and be sure to bring (and charge) one less than what was needed. When they showed up with all the Z posts needed for the job we reminded them that we had one and the price needs to reflect that. We set it near the work area so they would remember. We also provided the concrete because we had no use for it (didn't expect a price break but figured they could use it). Unfortunately, our neighbor was the only one present for the majority of the job (as it was during work hours and our neighbor is retired). That night our neighbor told us that the guys were being really dumb and used a breaker bar to break up the concrete to remove the old wooden post and set the Z post. They should have come prepared with a drill! The guys ruined a good 2 ft of our patio and didn't even level it out before it dried! It was serious a joke. They used our concrete but our Z post was STILL not used and just left there!!! We noticed they chose to mix the concrete ON our lawn and spilled it everywhere (and left it for us to discover and clean up). When we called we happened to speak with the owner himself and he said they would be in touch ASAP and be sure to have it repaired. We never heard back! 2 weeks later 2 new and quot;unprofessional guysand quot; randomly showed up saying they were there to fix our patio. (?) Fortunately, I was home so I was able to lead them to the back. When I told them we knew nothing about them coming, they just stared back at me. Very weird. It looks def better than before but still a total eye sore (square, textured patch)! A couple weeks prior to the fence replacement we had a drain installed in our planter area. Yesterday I was watering and had to pull the weed barrier back because I noticed our drain was NOT DRAINING. They had completely covered our drain with dirt, concrete debris, etc. when setting another post and left a HUGE mound of concrete under the bark and weed barrier. Since it couldn't dry efficiently there's mold covering the soil and the weed barrier. That last thing was STRIKE 3 and review worthy. So frustrated with that company! Anyone need a Z post?

Second time I have used this company to replace sections of by fence. Always arrive when they say and price very reasonable. Same crew as last time and they are very good. I wish I had used them 5 years ago when I had my entire fence replaced. I wouldn't be replaceing sections now if I had used them. They also installed a very nice gate for me. Price is very good.

Estimator Mike arrived on time at location and after discussing several items re. removal and hauling of old oversized redwood gate, informed us he would email an estimate within one week. Middle of the second week and still no estimate, I called and was informed Mike had been suffering a virus, one at that time was rampaging through California. Person I spoke with coordinated an email estimate within the next several days. Decided to hire their services even though the time frame was several weeks out. I was contacted several days later and informed conflicting jobs were pushed out which gave me a much faster install date. Date/time came and two man team showed up one hour late. I do have the patience to watch rocks grow, but even I was not happy with the late arrival time. This late two man team did manage to win back my confidence with their professionalism, attention to detail, and well coordinated work. By the time Ben and Steve were finished (which was quicker than I anticipated) they erected a very nice security gate I am extremely pleased with. I would use this company again due to quality of service and personnel.

overall it was a good experience, Mike seemed like he kenw his stuff and was a down to earth sort of guy. He didn't try to sell me any extras. Just what I needed. That's rare these days.

How did it go overall? ...it didn't go anywhere. I gave an ''A' for punctuality because he was right on time for the estimate but Freedom Fence failed overall due to dropping the ball.

They showed up on time for the estimate. The price was equal to one other and lower than a third (less than half). They showed up on time for the construction, had all the materials and tools they needed did the work in about 4 hours (including lunch) cleaned up and the finished project looked perfect. They did not damage any of the plants. They did the extra tasks for no additional charge. All things considered it was an excellent job.

This was a great experience. The old fence was horrible; rotten and overgrown with ivy. They came and before I knew it the old one was history (along with the ivy). The new post holes were dug and the posts cemented in. Before long the planks were put up (individual-not panels). It came out great-level and now an asset to the yard. I intend to add some gates and other work in the future and I will be calling them back.

My neighbor and I needed to replace 85 feet of "good neighbor" redwood fencing. We obtained three bids and Freedom Fence was the lowest. Their phone representative was polite and professional, their representative arrived on time to bid the job, the crew arrived as scheduled to do the work, and we were very satisfied with the completed fence. The three bids were: $2,250, $1,785 and $1,539. We would definitely recommend Freedom Fence and would certainly use their services again.

I was really impressed with their professionalism from the start with Mike coming out for the estimate. The company was also very easy to work with to split the invoicing (the cost above was the total cost; my neighbor and I were invoiced for half each) which is a great trait since fences often are on property lines.The fence is really pretty and solid. The workers, Ernesto and Carlos were punctual and professional, in and out of the yard in 2.5 hours flat. I would definitely hire this company again.

.Job went extremely well. The crew arrived when expected and finished the complete job in three days . . . sooner than expected. The workers were courteous, pleasent, efficient and asked questions when needed. This was a very hard-working crew. The job site was completely cleaned every day and on completion. I am very satisfied.

Although they didn't respond promptly to my email request submitted through Angies list, they did answer the phone when I called and set up an estimate the following week. They underbid the other highly rated fence company on Angies List by 20%. They agreed to perform the work while I was out of town and when I returned I found the job had been done completely to my satisfaction. My neighbor said they were in and out in under two hours and even hauled away some of her yard debris as a favor. These guys are great!

Freedom Fence had one of the highest ratings on Angie's list and came in at the lowest bid. The work was done professionally, quickly, and solidly. I was told I have a one year guarantee and I and the neighbors with which we share a fence are happy with the results.

Arrived on time and did the work in an afternoon. The area was cleaned up and also took all wood away including discarded wood pieces that I didn't want any longer. They came back the next day to check on the posts. I definitely would use them again.

Arrived as expected. Tore out the old fence quickly and had the new back fence in after just 2 hours. It's sturdy and looks great

Freedom Fence was one of four local fence contractors I contacted to do a long overdue replacement of a shared fence between my neighbor and I as well as replacing the front fence and gates between our houses. Mike came out to give an estimate within a couple days of my calling, was very friendly and informative, and provided a quote online within two business days. Freedom Fence was also the only company to follow up with me a week later to see if I needed any other information to make a decision. They were the low bidder, which usually makes me wary, but because they were highly rated on Angie's list and because they actually bothered to follow up I felt confident in choosing them for the work. They scheduled the work for about two weeks after I signed the contract. The guys that showed up were very nice, personable, and professional. They didn't overwhelm me with questions, I knew they could just figure things out. They had to cut and dig around some sprinkler pipe, cut away some old tree stump, and integrate the new fence into some older fencing near the back of the property - all without incident or issue. They were able to remove and replace the whole fence by 4:30 that afternoon - including cleaning up after themselves without any damage to the property. My only hesitation from giving them an A in quality was the materials they used. The labor was top notch, but the materials seemed less than. The redwood was very rough hewn and there wasn't any consistency in color or quality across the fence. Very knotty boards. One section of the fence was uneven in the front as it transitioned to my neighbor's property and the gate they constructed seemed a bit flimsy with very cheap hardware. Though the owner assured me when he followed up the next day that if I had any issues I could let them know and they'd repair it. Overall I'm quite pleased with Freedom Fence and I will likely contact them again next summer when I do the other side of the house.

Work was completed in a professional manner. Upon completion, there were a couple of areas that seemed to be unfinished. Some of the boards were not flush to the bottom board and didn't look right. Upon mentioning to Ernesto, he fully understood and made the corrections necessary to make it look complete. Otherwise, very pleased with their work, as they finished when they said they would and cleaned up well after the process. We'll eventually have the other side of the fence completed, and will have Freedom Fence do the job.

The process was flawless - the company was punctually and professional from the estimate stage, through construction and billing. They delivered on all accounts. I got three bids, Freedom beat the next lowest bid by $700 and were $1875 lower than the highest bidder, Borg Fencing.

It was an okay experience with them. They did not arrive on time. They didn't arrive with everything they needed to do the job though they knew what they needed. You have to make sure that they clean up after themselves and also check with your neighbors that they have cleaned to their satisfaction as well. My neighbors were very unhappy with the cleanup. Their attention to detail was not fair for my neighbors, but on my side it was great. They hacked off trees and stepped on plants. They just left the branches of the trees that they hacked just where they dropped.

Pleasant, professional, very prompt and the best price. The fence is study, looks great and is just what we asked for. We took bids from 4 different fencing companies and Freedom had the best price by far. We had them build our board on board fence to order. The estimator, Mike, was at our home 15 minutes before scheduled and was pleasant and easy to talk to. We had our finished bid almost before the scheduled appointment time. Everyone involved was very responsive and they scheduled the job to fit my work schedule. The builder, Ernesto, and his helper were here about 10 minutes before scheduled. They were very efficient and it was amazing to watch them do their work. The old fence came down and the new fence went up quickly. They made it look very easy. I can't think of anything I would like them to do differently. We are so happy with our new fence! Next we'll have them rebuild the fence on the other two sides of our backyard.

So far, they have seemed to be very professional and easy to deal with. They have been flexible in dealing with our neighbors and getting them involved. They showed up on time and were very responsive.

I found Fredom Fence through Angie's List. I received 2 different estimates and was pleased with both companies. I choose Freedom Fence because they submitted a bid that was $2,000.00 less then the other company. I am on a strict budget (who isn't) and of course choose Freedom Fence since both companies had A ratings. During the estimate walk through, I consistently made it clear that I was doing all 3 complete sides of the Fencing. I accepted their bid. After the existing landscape had been removed, one side of the fence was only 8 yrs. old and remained in good shape. I called the company and the price was reduced accordingly. The workers arrived at the designated time and were professional and friendly. They had plans that called for only 24 feet to be replaced on one side of the house! I was as shocked as were they. The plans did not match what I had requested. They called their boss and he called me. No work could start until this issue was resolved. At first, the conversation was awkward. Mike said that he would have to add another $1,300.00 to my bill. I was shocked. We both became frustrated. I then asked him to listen without talking for a few moments. He did. He heard what I had to say. He understood that somehow there was a major miscommunication that neither one of us could understand. The man that did the estimate somehow got the idea that I was only replacing a part of a fence that clearly needed to be completely replaced. The obvious issue was the estimate. On the estimate that side of the fence looked to be written as 224 f to be replaced. It turned out that the estimator had written 22lf. The written L looked like a 4. We calmly talked about the price and we agreed on a resonable increase that I could afford. I understand his initial point of view and I believe he understands mine. Later I called him and told him that I was going to ask one neighbor to share a portion of the fence and that I was willing to turn that check over to him. He refussed to accept any further monies. He said any money that I receive from the neighbor, I should keep. That money will cover the increase in my cost. Mike is fabulous. I would work with him and this company any day. Anybody who can listen and resolve a financial issue that involves that kind of money deserves to be acknowledged and receive your buissness. I will use this company again without hesitation. In case I have not made myself clear - the completed fencing looks GREAT.

They were quick and clean. They offered a one year guarantee which was really nice. They did the entire backyard including two gates in 2 days. I would use them again in the future if need be.

The men came a few hours earlier than expected and set about to replace the fence. They completed the work and did a nice job of cleaning up. They were unable to provide a receipt for my payment at the time, but I received a written receipt through the mail a couple of days later. Everything went very smoothly.

Freedom Fence did a great job overall. Our back and side fence had blown down during a windstorm and our side gates had also been damaged. It was easy to schedule an initial appointment, and I chose Freedom Fence over another bidder despite a slightly higher price ($150) because they could also repair one of the side gates that was giving me trouble and save me the hassle of wrangling with it myself. They provided a bid for 6-foot redwood fencing, with steel post and treated wood post alternatives. It was a bit tougher to get the work scheduled (because they were booked up), but they completed the new fence and repair to one gate in one day instead of two. We had to share in the cost of the side fence with the neighbor (which was a rental property), and Freedom Fence took it upon themselves to coordinate a separate invoice with that homeowner for their share of the cost once I provided the contact information. That was really great! They had to come back on about a week and a half later to finish repairing the second gate because they needed a part they didn't have, and I did have to call them to make sure they came back, but once they came they took care of it fairly quickly. Overall, though, it was a smooth process and the fence looks awesome!
