Fallen Leaf Tree Management

Received an estimate for tree service and told I would be contacted to schedule the work, but I never heard back from them again.

They sent a crew out the day I called and then sent another to help when they needed another truck for the clippings. They not only cleaned up the damage but pruned the whole tree and then pruned a couple others I asked them to while they were there. The crew was very friendly & were willing to do whatever I asked of them. They did a very professional job & obviously know what they are doing, pruning the correct branches. I'd definitely recommend this company & use them again!

Good job. Make sure you know whether they will grind out the trunk of any tress they remove. Could be extra cost.

All services went very well. As stated they were timely, responsive, professional and the cleaned up the area nicely afterward.

They arrived at the appointed time and removed three small trees, stumps and roots. They did an excellent job and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

I called Fallen Leaf for an estimate and they were very responsive in calling me back and promptly coming to my house to provide an estimate. The trees are about 10-13 years old and had not been pruned except to the extent that I could prune them from the ground or a short ladder. They are now much too big for that minimal pruning. The price seemed reasonable to me given the work to be done but I do not have much experience in that regard. We arranged a date for the work and they arrived promptly. The man who did the pruning was a skilled arborist and explained clearly and precisely what the pruning would entail, why it was being done the way it was, and provided good advice about tree care. The work was complete in the morning. The neighbor's foliage was pruned back but it was not just hacked-off. It looks very attractive. The sycamore and maple trees look a bit thin (as they should) at this time of year but I expect them to look very good this Spring. I was very pleased with Fallen Leaf. I plan to use them in the future and I recommend them to anyone who needs to have their trees pruned.

Jim their aborist came out on time and gave us many options and an estimate for work to remove one tree and prune three others. Three workers came out to do the work. They were on time and very professional. They did eveything I asked of them. They removed all debree and did a thorough clean up. I would definately hire them again.

We were pleased from start to finish.

Fallen Leaf returned our call for an estimate quickly, and an appointment was agreed on. Since we live some 90 miles away from this property, it was important to us that they were on time -- and they were, even arriving a bit early, but waiting to ring the doorbell until the exact time of the appointment. It was clear right away that the estimator knew what he was doing. He suspected some rot and disease 20' to 30' up in the large camphor tree, but couldn't be sure from the ground, so before committing to an estimate for that part of the work, he suggested bringing in a crew of climbers who would examine the suspect areas close up. He gave an exact price for this extra service, and we agreed to it. The estimates were pleasantly reasonable -- more so than companies in our own area. On the day, the crew arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. This was a pleasant surprise for us, since with other tree and garden services, we've sometimes had the work crews be pretty clueless and obviously inadequately briefed. The Fallen Leaf crew was courteous and highly skilled, climbing with ropes and full safety harness, and easily getting up into parts of the tree that I would have thought nearly inaccessible. The same manager who had given us the estimate was there, too, to guide the climbers to exactly the parts of the tree he had been concerned about. During this visit, they took care of the two other smaller trees that needed pruning. On the basis of their inspection, the manager gave us a supplemental estimate for pruning the camphor. Another visit was set up, and once again the workers arrived right on time. The skill and efficiency they demonstrated in getting to and trimming every necessary part of the tree left me very thankful that I hadn't tried to do any part of it myself! Once finished, they completely cleaned up the yard. I asked them to leave some of the larger branches as firewood; not only did they agree, they asked if I wanted them to chainsaw the wood into fireplace lengths. They did this, and stacked the logs with our other firewood behind the garage. The fertilization they recommended had already been carried out by a subcontractor a few days previously. He had also called ahead, arrived on time, and worked efficiently and quickly. I would rate Fallen Leaf as superior to any tree service we have used to care for trees at our home in the Palo Alto area -- and we've used some of the best-known and longest-established firms here. On the basis of this experience, I can recommend Fallen Leaf without any reservation whatsoever.

They were prompt, professional, and worked steadily.There was no damage to sprinklers and they cleaned up all the debris. I dreaded having this done, but they were fast and there were no problems. I'd recommend them to anyone.

The arborist arrived 5 minutes early to our appointment for an estimate, he was thorough in his inspection of the trees I wanted to remove, and he was very gracious and knowledgeable when I asked him for reccomendations on possible replacement trees. I was very impressed with him as well as with the people I spoke with in the office. They were all professional and I felt comfortable dealing with them. The only reason I did not use their services was because I had received another estimate from a highly-rated arborist that was several hundred dollars cheaper. I would not, however, hesitate to contact them again in the future or recommend them to others.

I needed to have 4 trees (1 large tree; 3 small trees) removed, plus have a large branch on another tree trimmed. They came out and gave me a quote that I considered reasonable. They arrived on time on the day they said they would, and in less an one hour the whole job was done. I was a little nervous about them taking out trees that were so close to an expensive pool pump/filter in a very tight space, but they did it just fine with no problems whatsoever.

They did an excellent job. They were on time. They did what they said they would do. The job cost what they said it would cost. I would use them again.

Shortly after I requested a quote, Terry Monahan contacted me to schedule an appointment to take a look at the tree. On the day of our appointment he showed up on time, scoped out the job, and gave me a quote. After receiving other quotes from contractors I decided to choose Fallen Leaf Tree Management. On the day of the tree removal three workers showed up, on time, and completed the work in about 3 hours. This included the time to clean and sweep the travel areas from the backyard to the wood chipper parked at the front of the house. The workers were very friendly and conscientious. They made sure I was happy with the job and the cleanup before they left. I have no qualms about recommending this company to anybody.

I called sometime the week of 5 March 2012 requesting an estimate for removing a tree and Terry came out within a day to look at the tree and he provided an estimate. Within a few days a crew of 3 came out. They removed a relatively large cottonwood tree (16" DBH) that was a few feet from my house. It was a tricky job because of the size of the tree (maybe 60 feet tall) and proximity to my house, a fence, and neighbor's house. They used ropes in a skilled way to cut and swing down branches bit by bit from the top. Took about 2.5 hours. Cut the tree down to a relatively low stump and poisoned the stump. Did a very good job of cleaning up all the wood and sawdust. Top notch work.

They had a very knowledgeable staff. They gave me an estimate. They were very prompt and did a very good job. They came the next day.

They were professional, cordial, unobtrusive, and cleaned up their work.

My friend, who employs Fallen Leaf herself eagerly recommended them to me. I attempted to uproot the palm trunk in the front with no success, as well as many attempts to destroy the yucca bush. It was time to go to the pros. I emailed the photos of the stumps to Fallen Leaf, and received 2 estimates for different prices: I called and explained that I received two, and they said that the lower estimate is what they will use. I made the appointment for 3 days later. When I came home I was pleasantly surprised to see the stumps removed and tilled back into the holes. The awful yucca bush is gone! Time will tell if the roots were completely destroyed. There was no mess anywhere on my walkways - it looked as if no one had been there. I received an emailed invoice the next day, and that was it. I'm very happy with Fallen Leaf and highly recommend them. I never thought about hiring a professional to prune my trees, but I will go back to Fallen Leaf when that time comes.

Two trees had been severely damaged in storm, with large broken limb about to fall. We called Fallen Leaf. Arborist came over shortly after we called and gave use quotes for removing diseased, damaged, and dead limbs. We had several trees that we had wanted to have removed. The arborist came the next day to remove the dead, broken, and fallen limbs. We scheduled the tree removals for another date.We were given lump sum quotation for tree removals, limb removals, and mistletoe removal. Because of nature of pruning, we agreed that billing for the pruning on an hourly basis would be fairest for all concerned. While on premises, arborist examined all trees for disease and made recommendations for future care. WE plan to use Fallen Leaf for our next tree job.

They were prompt in responding to my call and did exactly what I asked, cleaning up and taking away trimmings. I will use them again in the future.

They just came to see whether the tree was healthy or not and they didn't charge me anything for this. I had a very good experience with them.

They gave us some advice. The guy was excellent. His name was Gabe Beeler and he was a certified arborist, certified tree worker and an association member for arborists. He showed up on time, was very friendly and made several comments about different options and how they could work with us. He was really great. We do plan on using them this fall after the trees lose their leaves. I offered to pay and they didn't charge. They are licensed and they take credit cards. They were highly recommended. Their prices seemed reasonable for removing the trees and debris. He went into a lot of explanation on why you do things a certain way. He explained why the tree service we had used for a couple of years didn't work. He also made suggestions on other trees to plant and he was very professional.

They didn't send out a certified arborist to look at the trees that I needed trimmed. He didn't have the adequate knowledge of the trees and I wanted to make sure that the tree's kept their good health. They are a good company they just didn't meet my needs this time.

Workers were prompt and efficient and very helpful. Everything was trimmed to my satisfaction and yard was cleaned of debris.
