Eddie seems like an honest guy who takes his small business very seriously and has high expectations for men he hires to work for him. Once he started the job, he made an effort to communicate regularly with me about issues that came up along the way that set our timeline back a little bit. His price was extremely fair and he seems like an honest guy. We got several bids for this work and Eddie Mullins was by far the most reasonable.

I had left Eddie an email via Angie's List to which I still had not received a response after about 2 weeks, so I decided to call the contact number on Angie's List, since I assumed that a company may not always check into their web site on a regular basis. However, I never received a response to the voicemail I left until I finally did receive a response by email on August 25 with a number to call, which I did the next day. Surprisingly, my call was answered with the first ring. We made an appointment for Eddie to come out for an estimate on some landscaping projects. The day of the appointment came and passed without a visit or a phone call, even after I left a phone message. I realize at this time, landscapers are very, very busy, but in that case, he should have told me that from the start and we could have discussed other timing possibilities. I would not have minded waiting for the work to be done, (even a couple of months) as long as I had a good idea of what he could do and what the cost would be. I had to make an effort to work around my normal schedule that day, costing me money and time.

It was great. Eddie and his crew are the greatest and very professional. They were on time and went above and beyond all expectations.

He came out to view the property but never provided an estimate. On a follow-up phone call I made he said that he did plan to submit a bid the following week. No bid was ever received.

All was done as promised and the driveway looks great. The front walkway had a few areas that weren't quite smooth and made it difficult to install a couple of planter boxes next to it that needed replacing. In retrospect, I should have had them removed before the cement work was done, but I didn't think of it and wasn't asked to do it so I didn't realize it might be a problem. Eddie was very personable and accommodating when I asked for a couple of things we hadn't talked about when the project began. I have recommended him to a few of my neighbors and would use him again.

Eddie and his crew are true professionals. The work went smoothly and the final result is beautiful! Eddie is very knowledgeable and provided me with options, and pros & cons, to make sure the hardscapes and landscaping turned out how we wanted it. He was particularly helpful with plant selection and lighting placement and he addressed all my questions. After the job was completed, Eddie provided me with a quick tutorial on how to program the irrigation and lighting controllers and with guidance on how to take care of the new plants and sod. I would definitely hire Eddie again on any future work, and am happy to recommend him highly.

All went well. Finished project was just as discussed. Workers were efficient and unobtrusive. Did a thorough job of cleaning up.

We had a little snafu over scheduling in the beginning but that was easily overcome. Eddie consistently answered the phone and returned calls. The work was done well and was finished when he promised it would be. I would hire him again.

What a great experience! Eddie and his crew did an outstanding job and delivered exactly what was promised. We had approximately 350 sq ft of exposed dirt in our backyard in front of and behind our pool equipment. This was from a landscaping job we completed last year. We decided to have paver stones installed so that we could put a small table and fire pit in that area. Eddie came in with his crew and this awesome plough-like machine and dug out the area to make way for the pavers. They removed a small tree stump, leveled the ground, and meticulously laid the pavers in a great pattern. The crew was careful with the yard and the pool equipment and did a thorough cleaning after each day on the job. We are so pleased with Eddie Mullins Landscaping and will be switching our regular yard maintenance work to his company. The crew was polite and friendly and worked hard to do a great job. We are happy with the work. The work was good and I have no complains. They did a some extra square feet work and few tree removals due to which I paid more then the big deal cost.

First, Eddie Mullins contacted me via the message service in Angie's list within a few days of deal purchase. We made appt to discuss and measure. I wanted a larger patio than what was covered in the deal, Eddie gave me the same price per square foot for additional footage. The crew arrived at 7:30 promptly on the both days and went right to work. It was triple digits on final day and the pace didn't slow. I was so pleased with not only the work, but with the professionalism and respect I received from the crew. I would absolutely use this provider again! a+

Everything was good. He was professional, no issues quality work. Price wasn't unreasonable but maybe slightly more than I was anticipating

It went great! He came the same day I called, when he said he would and knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it with an existing part. in less than five minutes. A very congenial guy. Highly recommend him and will use him for my rentals.

Contractor gave me an estimate of $1,500 for landscaping work. I called him about a week later on his cell phone to indicate I was interested in hiring him. He said he was driving and would need to call me back, so he confirmed my call back number before hanging up. I never received a call back, so I assume he was not really interested in the job, maybe because it was too small. If that was the case, he should have been upfront about it. Despite the reason he didn't call back, I think his behavior speaks poorly of his level of professionalism. Additionally, he was late showing up for his appointment to provide an estimate and I had to call him to confirm if he was still planning to show up.

Eddie exceeded our expectations. The final result is outstanding. Eddie and his crew were professional, friendly and answered questions directly. As the job progressed, Eddie was able to suggest changes to improve the looks. for example he suggested moving the water feature from one side of the tree to the other to make it more central to the patio and larger to better fit the scale of the large patio. It was painful at points to see the yard in a shambles for extended periods of time. But it all came together quickly at the end for a fantastic result.

The job went faster than promised, only 2 days rather than 5 days. The crew was professional and showed expertise in their tasks. There was very little disruption and it seemed seamless. The result is a beautiful, drought tolerant front yard that really accentuates the look of the house. Eddie picked out some really nice plants and was responsive to our questions and comments. He cared about our concerns. The project turned out much better than we had hoped.

He came out and gave us information on the projects we wanted to do. He was nice and knowledgeable. He wasn't pushy. He seemed to know his business. He showed up when he said he would.

Eddie came and looked at the work that I wanted to have done. I was unwilling to pay the extra costs and will not be using the deal.

I would hire this company again and I have already recommended them to a lot of friends and neighbors. So many neighbors have come by to say how great it looks and ask who did the work. I don't even know most of them!!!The owner Eddie Mullins is a super nice guy. He knows what he's doing and his suggestions were invaluable. His crew, Michael and Sherman are just great. All three of them worked so hard and the results reflect that. The other thing I liked was that Eddie told me to call with any questions or concerns. I am very, very happy and impressed with this company.

Eddie and his crew were great to work with. Everything was done according to specification, and they continually "went the second mile" to transform our back yard from a disaster to pleasant place to relax.

He broke a drain pipe and sprinkler head. He agreed at the beginning to repair any damage to sprinkler system and drain pipe. He took care of the problem and repaired the damage.

Eddie came out and we discussed the re-landscape of my front yard. He took my plans and said he'd be done with my estimate before I went on vacation 10 days later. Didn't hear back from him then or even after I returned. Called him and asked and he said he took the plans to the nursery and didn't pick them up - and that he would complete the bid the next day. No word after 5 days and no plans returned. Waste of my time and his and need to order new blueprints.

The actual work was completed within one week of the start time. As with all projects using a busy contractor there were a few delays caused by issues at other jobs, but Eddie always kept me informed as to when he and his workers would be at my place. None of the delays was unreasonable. His workers were polite and efficient. They had the lawn removed the first day, then the extra soil brought in for the berms/mounds. Probably the most complex part of the job was getting the plants specified on the plans. There were only two that could not be sourced locally and we were able to come up with reasonable substitutes. Once the plants were in the drip system was set up, weed cloth laid, path laid out (he checked with me regarding how it should go as well as the needed width), and then the mulch and gravel were put in. It was his idea to add the boulders, which were not in my original plan, but I really like them and feel they add a nice final touch. Everything is on a rain sensitive drip system. He came out to add emitters to three plants that had been missed as they were added after the drip system had been placed. He tested the drip system again and inspected the plants to make sure they were all receiving water. He also came out on special request to plant the tree provided by SMUD, the delivery of which had been delayed. Eddie Mullins is easy to talk with, will answer all questions with honesty and may even ask a few questions to make sure you understand exactly what things are. I had not specific mulch or path material in mind. He explained the pros and cons of availabla choices within my budget. I relied on his opinions and am pleased with the outcome. His contract is simple and straightforward. If both parties are open and honest with each other I see no reason for serious issues to arise.

Within the same day of placing a request on Angie's list, I received a call from Eddie. We scheduled a time for him to come out and look at the job. Eddie arrived on time and discussed with us our ideas and our budget. He provided a sketch of the yard layout, offered suggestions for plants and give us a timeframe to complete the work. He felt he could work well within our budget and we made the decision to have Eddie complete the work. We met with him one more time prior to the start of the job to finalize the details and confirm the cost of the job. Eddie and his staff showed up on time each day and completed the work as scheduled . The crew was easy to work with, and Eddie was willing to make tweeks to the job as we made some minor changes. The job was finished on time and under budget. We are thrilled with the outcome and intend to use Eddie again for some additional work. It was a great experience and we truly appreciate he and his crew's hard work.
