Description of Work: He did tile flooring for one small and one medium sized bathroom with inlays. The bigger bathroom had no tiles that didn't require cutting. Not an easy job and it still looks great a year later.

 + 0 moreHe sent me photographs and dropped off a sample of stone. The stone worked beautifully with the cabinets and the sink vessel. However, because the sample was so small, we never noticed that it did not complement the color of the Italian tile on the walls. So someday this will need to be redone a third time. I wish the contractor would have pointed that out to me as I was not home when he installed the counter top and I would have stopped the install. But it is also probably not his responsibility to ensure that the stone he installs looks right either. That would probably have been my husband's. :)
Description of Work: Installed a granite counter in my bath to replace a bad install by a previous contractor. Here's a tip: don't ever let a contractor install a counter top flush with the surface of your cabinets, especially where water or other things might ever dribble down the front because your cabinets will be ruined.

Description of Work: We did the demolition of the old tile kitchen countertops. Dietz Stoneworks gave us an estimate and told us what size slabs to get. After we selected the slabs ( before we paid for them), Josh went to the business that had the slabs (Arizona Tile) to see if the slabs were OK for him to work with. They were. Then he made a template and outlined it onto our slabs. He showed us where each section was going and if we approved the template. He took great care in determining where the seams went. They installed our new sink and stovetop when they did the counters. They also put granite countertops on a "pony wall" between our Kitchen and family room as well as on our "butler's pantry." They were very punctual, pleasant, responsive and very skilled. It looks awesome! And it was a lower bid. We did not select them because the bid was lower, but we could tell he was a professional who takes great pride in his work. I would not hesitate to hire him again if the occasion arose.

Description of Work: I contacted Dietz Stoneworks Inc. to get an estimate for installing granite for the new cabinets we put in our dining room. His price was the best out of the several estimates I received and I found several 'A' reviews here on Angie's List so we chose him. Mr. Dietz and his staff were very punctual and friendly as well as highly skilled. They did an excellent job, I couldn't have asked for better, and quick to boot! From first phone call for an estimate to a completed, installed counter top it took only 2 weeks! When I changed my mind and wanted a slight change after they were finished they came out the same day and made the alteration for me. I'm very happy with the end result and if we ever need any work done again or if any family or friends need a recommendation it'll be Dietz Stonework, Inc.!!!

 + -1 moreDietz Stoneworks, Inc. did an excellent job from start to finish installing granite in my kitchen. Josh was quick to deliver a bid via e-mail with my submitted kitchen design plans. When I had questions, he was very easy to talk to over the phone. He gave an estimate. When I proceeded to accept the bid, he quickly scheduled a template appointment within the next week. The day he templated, he rearranged his schedule to meet me at the slab yard to lay the templates on the granite slabs. The entire process went very smoothly. He took the time to explain the most pleasing way to follow the pattern and grain formation of the granite to match seams and fit unique patterns and shapes to my counters. He was so efficient in his layout that I have enough for a bathroom vanity. Josh went over and beyond my expectations when I requested if he could complete fabrication and install the job in a week. He and a worker arrived the Friday before Memorial Day and installed the granite in about 4 hours. I am extremely pleased with the entire process. The high quality of his work shows the skills and experience of a professional craftsman who enjoys his work and cares about his customers. He delivered a high quality job without delays or surprises at a very competitive price.
