COMCAST SPOTLIGHT

Where or where do I start with Comcast, the mega cable/TV/internet company that takes lots of your money and gives you little in return?! I've had TV service with Comcast for years, starting back when they were the only game in town. I go to their office to get a new remote, I'm NOT greeted by a young man who obviously hates his job, doesn't make eye contact, doesn't say a word, just tosses the new remote up on the counter. I asked about programming the new remote and he said there were instructions with it. I knew then and there I was in trouble. Of course I was unable to follow the vague, confusing instructions and when I called for tech support, they couldn't help either. The man who tried to help me set up an appointment to have someone come to my home and said it would cost $15.00. I didn't feel I should have to pay anything but had no choice. You guessed it, no one showed up. I called only to find out there was never any appointment on the books. So we scheduled another one and she said there would be no charge since the probelm was with THEIR equipment, not mine. The guy came, programmed my remote and told me it was no wonder it couldn't be programmed. They had given me the wrong kind of remote. He left and I was happy until I got my bill. You guessed it. A $28 charge to come out to my home. Of course I called and rasied a stink, the charge was removed from my account, and I also reminded the young lady about their commercials guaranteeing a rebate if they don't come when scheduled which I also got. So in the end I made out okay but I shouldn't have had to go through all that. Every single employee I talked with told me something totally different. I think they just pick a number that sounds good out of thin air.

WE HAVE USED THEM MANY TIMES BEFORE. THEY ARE A VERY DEPENDABLE COMPANY. THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL. THEY FIXED OUR COMPUTER WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL.
