Clarke & Rush

Just a year after the coils go out, the A/C is down again. The service guys are always punctual, respectful and courteous. But we have really had it with all the trouble we've had with this unit. Today it seems that the inlet and outlet nuts of the TXV are very loose and needed to be tightened--this resulted in a loss of coolant. This is most likely related to the work done on it last year and we felt it was inappropriate for us to have pay yet another service call charge. The technician checked with the office, but they still charged us the fee. Pretty disappointing. The "cheap builder model" A/C we had before this was a real workhorse for 16 years--no problems. This "state of the art" model has been nothing but trouble.

It is wonderful. They did an excellent job. Not only was the price fair and their quality of work great, but they were working at the same time with the roofing company, and the guys on the roofing company complimented them on how well they worked together with them. They were absolutely the best.

See above- still waiting to get the part replaced. Have had to have coolant replaced/added twice since the leak was suspected. Informed that now that the leak has been diagnosed, by law, they cannot add any more coolant. Will need to wait for the part.

Clark and Rush did a wonderful job at our house. They informed us about the energy audit process and all the rebates and tax credits that were available. Our attic was a mess of old ducting from two systems. They removed all the old duct work and cleaned out the attic of the old insulation. A new furnace was installed in the attic. Since our a/c unit was sitting in a bad location, they installed the new unit behind the house and removed all evidence of the old unit on the side. The workers were prompt and cleaned up behind themselves. We were pleased with the job!

They were excellent. They were very professional, they were very helpful, and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone again. I haven't seen any post service follow up, and when we called about an issue, they were very slow to respond, and we spoke to a sales person who said they would send someone out, but they didn't. The installation and sales was good, but the follow up left a lot to be desired. They were really good, we have cats, and I was concerned about the cats getting out, and they made sure the cats didn't get out.

I have a twice a year service with C&R. When they came out in December, they found the heater had problems that would cost over $2,000 with no guarantee that something else would fail - old system. They replaced it with a new Carrier system. All the work was done when they said it would. Everything was left clean! This week, Tony Rider came back to do the final tests, so I can get the county inspection completed. Again, on time, professional, and left everything clean. My PG&E gas bill has gone down by about 40%. Some of that is because of the mild winter, but it was installed in December when it was freezing! Very happy with the new unit.

It went great. They worked with me on coordinating schedules and they were very professional.

They were straight to the point, in and out in 2 days, replacing my AC, Furnace, and Water Heater. Everything went smoothly except for an issue with the thermostat. The thermostat kept shorting out the furnace. It took two additional trips out to diagnose the problem with the thermostat. They replaced it, and everything works great.

They did a good job for me and helped me get all the inspections and rebates taken care of. I was always able to get hold of someone when I needed some information or help. I had some problem adjusting the thermostat and they sent someone right out to take care of it.

Removed and installed new heating/air conditioning unit on roof. Had to have section of tile roof removed; Clarke & Rush coordinated with my roofer. No glitches so far. Staff respectful and knowledgeable.

All the work was done professionally by courteous, competent people. Jobs were done on-time and within budget.

I've used them for various services since 2001 and costs have varied.

The service was okay but the price was exorbitant. The original estimate was for $7,000 but he dropped the price to $5,000.

They installed a 3 ton unit when we only needed a 2 ton unit. My husband had already paid cash, so he let it go. We later wanted a new pure air system but they told us they could not do the work. They referred us to another company and that company did a horrible job. It was a bad experience!

I had an attic fan that was causing the home to become really hot in the summer and it was awful. They installed a solar panel attic fan in the garage. It was my most successful project and it is much cooler in my home during the summer. They have always been nice, polite, and on time. My only complaint is I can't work the thermostat properly. I can make the home cooler and warmer, but I don't know anything more than that.

The service was good. The technician was very polite and respectful of our house. He wore booties over his shoes to protect our floors. He was thorough and did things that another provider could not. I requested that technician each time but he has since moved into management.

It was fine. They are excellent. I've been using them for years.

They were professional and have been in business a long time. The only reason I gave them a B is because some of the plumbing work needed to be redone after it was inspected. They worked hard and got the job done in the timeframe they said. We were pleased with everything. They thought it would take 2 weeks for the windows to come in after they measured. They arrived sooner than expected and they installed them in one day.

We shook hands but did not embrace.

The system seems to be the best of the 3 we've had in this home in terms of balanced cool air flow throughout a 2 story home. However, we haven't had a 100+ day yet, or evaluated during the heating season. Installation was prompt, professional and as indicated in the proposal. Extra items like smoke detectors and CO2 detectors, not listed on the proposal, were installed at no extra charge.

The technician was very courteous. He had a good working knowledge of plumbing and it was evident that his background was extensive. He knew exactly where the pipes located and advised against tearing down certain walls. This was great news to me. Very happy Clarke and Rush.

They did a fabulous job and went above and beyond on their work. They were immaculate, so nice, and did extra things at no additional cost. They even picked up an old engine for me that had been sitting in my yard for 10 years.

They do plumbing, heating and air conditioning. It has been a great experience. Sometimes I do not like the price, but I have been very satisfied with them. They are efficient and courteous. If I have any issues, they are easy to talk too. I think that they are a little pricier than the others, but I have had such good luck with them. They are courteous and professional. I like them so much; I am willing to pay more.
