I agree with the previous review of "Buyer Beware!" Our neighbor contracted with them to replace her entire fence, including our shared fence. They tore down the fence one 7/18, left our backyard open to the neighborhood, including having one side of our fenced pool open. On 7/19, we looked outside at the progress to see that there was a section of drainage pipe sticking up next to a new fence post. As the day progressed, the pipe continued to be sticking up. I asked if they were going to rebury it, & they told me they don't fix things they break. He also showed me that they had hit another section with an auger, & buried it. It had a big chunk taken out it, & I don't believe they would have said anything had I not asked about the other section sticking out. I had them help me at least pull the (corrugated) drainage pipe out so that the cement for the new posts didn't set up around it. They only seemed interested in getting out of here by 3:30 pm (it was a Friday). I called the office manager, Brenda, on 7/26, to talk about the damages. She told me that they were booked up, to get quotes or invoice from others for the repairs, & they would take care of it. My wife emailed her & she confirmed in an email the following "Like we told your husband that would not be a problem. We can get that fixed once you have a bill for us ready just let us know & we will take care of that for you." When we got the quotes we were surprised that the cost to fix the damage was more than our share of the fence. All 4 quotes said that they don't fix drainage problems, they replace. I again called & spoke to Brenda on 8/23. We wanted to be sure that there wouldn't be problems due to the amount. She asked for the quotes so she could talk to the owner, which was provided that same day. After no word back, I called again on 8/30, she said she would show the owner & get back to me that day. After no word back again, I called on 9/4, spoke with another individual whom said he would normally handle these issues, but he had been on vacation. He told me he would talk to Brenda, consult the owner, & get back to me that day. Didn't hear back again, so on 9/6 I called. The same individual told me he would talk to the owner & get back to me that day. He didn't. My wife called on 9/9, spoke with them & they told her they would contact the owner & get back to us. My wife told them we already decided to move forward with one of the estimates. They called the same day, & scheduled for the owner to come see the property the next day (9/10) between 1:30-2:30pm. He did not show up, so my wife canceled. They called back on 9/12, asked if he could come between 3-4pm. The owner showed up at 3:20pm on 9/12, when we showed him the damages, he immediately started with denial type of questions & blaming us. How would his guys have known about the pipe? We should have painted where there were pipes (we just bought the house less than a year, so we didn’t know). He stated it would have been too much work to dig out the rocks & look for pipes. He told us that the back of the contract stated we should have removed everything, including rocks two feet back from the fence. There was no back of the contract. There isn’t two feet between the fence & the sidewalk. He blamed the neighbor for not telling us these things should have been done. They never talked to us before beginning work. They barely acknowledged us as customers. We said that we had proof his representatives twice said they would pay for the damages. We said we would have to take him to court if he didn’t agree to pay for the damages & he laughed at us, & said go ahead. At which point we escorted him off our property. My wife reiterated all the things which we did to be respectful, patient, & civil with his company. He was extremely disrespectful towards my wife, saying "I thought you were done, why are you still talking?"
Description of Work: Neighbor hired them to replace all her fences. We split the cost of our shared fence line, and further hired them to do a 6 foot wing from the shared fence to the side of our house.
