Description of Work: They fixed a couple of chairs. I got two chairs done about a couple of months ago. I had chairs done that didn't need much work. I brought an old office chair that could be reupholstered I just dropped off the other day.

Description of Work: Reupholsted and re-paded a mid-centrury Danish share and foot stool. The craftmen at California Upholstery provided excellent material and returned the upholstery to a perfect condition which was the full equivalent of the original Danish upholstery of more than 60 years ago--they created a new, very valuable chair. They peformed unasked for extras like covering exposed fasteners with flush stained-wood plugs and turning the useable material from the old chair into attractive place mats. Since that work I brought in a Danish chair with a broken leg. They first atttemted to repair in a way that the new connection of the leg to chair would not be visible. I had been advised that the new connection may not be sufficient. It was not, and they re-connect the leg with a bolt which they cleverly hid. There was no charge for the repair. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

 + -1 moreNot very well.Ordered recover towards beginning of December on the 8th. Was told that I would have cushion and pillows back by Christmas which was 2 1/2 weeks away. After initial selection of material for recover was called the next day to come back out and select new material as previous selection no longer offered. Selected new material and waited. Didn't receive cushion and 3 pillows until the week after Christmas. Was told they would check on material for other 2 pillows and get back to me. Waited 2 weeks with no call from company. I went back out there to get my pillows back and was told they would call the material company right then. They called company and assured me that the company was sending material 2DA and I would have pillows by the following Tuesday. On Friday of that week I went to get my pillows just to be told he hadn't been able to get to them yet and he would bring them by my home that night. No show. I called yet again on Saturday and he assured me he would deliver them to my home that afternoon. I told him I was not going to wait around another day for the pillows. He said he would leave them on my porch. I did finally receive my pillows but this was not the experience I had expected. I did get his company off of Angie's List. But I will not be using him again.

 + -1 moreTHEY ARE A VERY GOOD COMPANY TO HIRE IF YOU NEED THAT KIND OF THING DONE. THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. WE TOOK IT IN AND WE GOT IT BACK FIVE DAYS LATER. THEY WERE PROMPT.
