Description of Work: Contact, planning, punctuality all first rate. Packing process was part our packing, part California moving, but they also helped with our packing process. The packing team appeared well educated and appreciative of our needs. Definitely not neanderthals, buy any means. Our goods arrived on time and in good condition. All in all, as to the mover's parts, this went about as well as I can see a move going. Moving is still a character building experience, but would really have been a nightmare without this skilled and professional team. Definitely recommended

Description of Work: They arrived on time and were ready to go. I picked them because they were the only movers that actually came out to the house to inspect what was being moved and how many items we had. In my view, that is the only way to get an accurate estimate. Also, they did everything exactly as the CA Public Utilities Commission guidelines said they should do as movers. Because they did everything as they should, I picked them. | |Upon receiving the estimate, I thought they had too many people scheduled for the move and the estimate was a bit high. During the move, I realized that they were right and that the only way to make the job cost less was for me to have everything as ready to go as possible. | |After the move, they mentioned that because we were prepared, it made things go smooth. The only advice I can give is that if you want to lower your cost, get everything packed and boxed up because it will make it fast and easy. That means less time needed for them to do their job. | |They took care of everything we had and wasted no time. Not one item was damaged and I am completely satisfied. If I were to ever move again, I would definitely use them.

 + -1 moreThe representative that gave us our estimate was on time, friendly and took the time to explain the whole process to us. He did not pressure us and turned around a full quote within a day. On the day of packing, the movers apologized for being late in spite of being within the promised arrival window simply because they prefer to start earlier. They did a good job of packing everything carefully. The move itself occurred the next day. The job was done fast, yet carefully, allowing us to pay for only the minimum move time in spite of the higher estimate. This allowed us to start getting settled in to our home that much sooner. Everyone at the company was friendly, helpful and professional throughout the process.
Description of Work: The company provided a free on site estimate including not to exceed pricing for our move from an apartment to our new home. They packed up many of our household goods, including all kitchenware on one day and loaded and unloaded our goods the next.

 + -1 moreThis was the best move I have experienced from beginning to end. Judy, the estimator, gave me some great tips (e.g. move and set up your kitchen ahead of time), Melissa patiently rescheduled my move twice when the remodel at the other end stalled, Damien and Jesse hustled all my stuff, including large potted plants, in and out of the truck in less time than I expected and without a scratch. Everyone I dealt with was consistently patient, helpful, and customer-oriented. I dread moving, but this company took a lot of the stress out of it. (One tip of my own - do leave sheets on mattresses, even though movers ask you to remove them, or ask movers to wrap mattresses. Some marks are inevitable in handling and in the truck and it's easier to wash sheets than mattresses.) Highly recommended.

 + 0 moreExcellent. Their high Angie's list rating is well deserved! The estimator and coordinator is extremely professional and pleasant to work with, taking the time to answer all of my questions. He accommodated my tight schedule and got me packed up in plenty of time to get my home vacated by close of escrow. The packing crew was very pleasant to work with and worked very hard to get my home packed up and loaded for storage within six hours. I would recommend them to anyone needing such services. Price marked as "good" simply because it is regulated with little room for negotiation.
Description of Work: Relocating to another State. Did not yet have a home purchased in that State. Needed packing, storing and moving services inclusive of special care for grandfather clock.

He was able to prepare us for this huge move from California to Colorado and from then on we were ready to go! Jesse and I got along great and from the moment he arrived to the moment he left after delivery, he was great! I am thankful that CMS moved us and would recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreBruce, the agent, came out to get and estimate and explained the services and timelines. He was true to his word that all would be handled with great care. He was accessible at all times by cell phone. This was my 24th move since age 18yrs. I have made several cross country moves . This was the first time that all went as promised; professional, no damage or hidden costs. They came in $2000 under others that I got quotes from. I'd recommend them to anyone for a short or long move.
Description of Work: I got an estimate. The movers who came were polite, courteous, on time and efficient in the packing they did and the overall move of goods from the home. The goods were delivered to my Carlsbad,Ca. home a week later in great shape.They even provided a carpet to keep my entry way clean. They did not rush or damage any goods or the walls of my new home. This company also helped coordinate a move a goods from a storage unit in Ohio to Carlsbad,Ca. as well ,2 weeks later. The communication for that move kept me informed every step of the way and again the agent in Sacramento was available by phone for any glitches that happened. There was a problem at delivery site and the size of the truck. Bruce handled this efficently.

 + -1 moreThe guys arrived when expected. They cleanly and expedicously, and neatly packed everything. They loaded the goods onto the truck, and checked in with me during their ride to confirm the anticipated delivery time. In fact, they called to ask if they could deliver early! The guys were very pleasant and professional. Nothing was broken. My mother and I were relaxed and pleased with their pleasant manner. Would I use them again? You bet! This was one of the best moving experiences I have ever had, from the estimator, through the pick up and delivery.
Description of Work: I was moving my 91 year old mother to a new home more than 500 miles from her old one. The moving company that I needed had to pack up her stuff and get it to her new home as quickly as possible. I got estimates from several companies, both from Angie's list and friend's referrals. This company not only had the lowest estimate, but could promise the delivery the day after it was picked up.

 + -1 moreThey provided excellent customer service. They delivered the boxes yesterday. This morning they arrived ahead of schedule. Yesterday they gave us the name of the driver, the helper and their phone numbers. The scheduling manager called and they provided fantastic service. They were in and out within two hours. They were very efficient and I will use them again.
Description of Work: I used California Moving Systems because my business is moving retired people either into or out of communities. There is a gentlemen moving back to Virginia. We did the packing and they did the physical moving.
