Description of Work: "I had had a break-in at my home and needed to replace the side door to my garage. In addition my family and I were going on vacation and needed the work done right away. The owner of the business came to my home and gave me an estimate. He also began pointing out a number of other things he felt I should hire him to do. The man who was to do the work arrived nearly on time (at 9:08 am) but immediately left to go to purchase the material to perform the work. Since the business owner had surveyed the site and provided an estimate, I was surprised he had not come with the needed materials and ready to go to work. He was gone for over 3 hours. His explanation was that he had to travel a significant distance to get the material and he decided to take his lunch break before he came back. It took several hours for him to complete the work and he did a quality job. He then informed me of an additional charge to take the old door, which I was not informed about before hand. I was not very happy about my interaction with the owner. He seemed more interested in getting a good rating and setting up additional jobs. The work itself was well done. It was the interaction with the owner and the delays in getting the work done on the appointed day that leads me to conclude I would not be interested in hiring this business again in the future."

Description of Work: I had a few odd jobs scheduled. The first one was to change out a light switch - perfect. The second was to replace a light fixture on a ceiling fan - turns out I bought the wrong kit - bummer. The third was to replace a ceiling light pendant - more complicated. After a considerable amount of time the repairman concluded the the fixture needed to be reinforced in the ceiling and didn't have the materials. I was disappointed but understood. He was polite and asked me to schedule another service. About an hour later William (the owner) called and said he was sending the repairman back to finish the job. He felt badly I wasn't able to get my full 2 hours of work and that 1 of the jobs wasn't able to be done. I was surprised and grateful. The repairman returned later the same day and completed the ceiling pendant replacement. It looks wonderful. I was very impressed with Caldwell Construction, William and his staff. I was absolutely hire them again.

Description of Work: Replaced fluorescent lights with canned lighting. They had to close the ceiling, re texture put up lights and paint ceiling and walls in my kitchen. They did a fantastic job. William was very quick to reply to my inquiry, and was able to fit me in the next day. He kept in touch throughout the day about his expected arrival time. While the price was a lot for a small job, he was upfront about that being his minimum charge, and I needed someone who could help quickly, so I consider it fair.

+ -1 moreIt went extremely well. The sheds had to be made to fit between certain structures and fit next to the house. The end result is beautiful. The finished sheds look as if they are part of the house. The outside matches the finish on my house and is also painted the color of the house. The floor is reinforced and the shelves were placed where I wanted them. The roof is finished as if it would be on the house. Everything down to the hardware looks finely finished and very professional. I've have had several people look at the sheds and they are amazed at how nicely they are done. William has done projects for me for over 8 years and has been reliable, professional and personable. An important thing for me is that he is very honest. He will work at the job until it is done to my satisfaction (he really does stand behind his work). He makes sure I approve of any changes that need to be made and also is a good problem solver. His prices are reasonable and I am pleased with the many projects he has done for me. I recommend him highly.

New carpeting in the bedroom and dining room, new wood floors, they fixed all the leaks in the bathroom as well as adding new fixtures in the kitchen. They are so experienced is every aspect of construction. They have great rates and are a very professional company. I highly recommend them.
