BOB'S GLASS

Great. Took care of all issues.

The seal was breached on one of my large, double-paned windows in the living room. The glass in those windows is special and must be ordered following careful measurement of the clear space needed. Bob's Glass did a fine job of measuring, ordering, and installing this glass. Their representatives were professional, polite, and efficient through the entire process. They called to report progress on the order and their status in keeping the planned appointment time. I'm very happy with their work and will definitely use them again!

I called for pricing and from the get go he was abrupt, acting as if I was wasting his time...The phone rang as I was telling him what I needed and He said; hurry up i have other calls... This guy is a Jerk....I called to get pricing and he was awful... 1 large mirror and a coffee table glass... I have never been treated in such a manner as this, it is sad his prices were good but if he treated me this way on the phone I would be scared to do any business with him....Apparently he does not need my business...

Installation took about four days to complete to replace the glass in 21 windows, including the large patio doors and some stationery windows that were installed with cement. Their work is steady and fairly organized, and they are pretty careful about not damaging property and cleaning up after they are done. I am delighted with my decision to go with Bob's Glass and this particular window option.

Bob's glass has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had from any company in any industry. Bob the owner does not care about or even respect his own customers. He does not acknowledge any wrongdoing on his part but rather blames the customer. We were recommended Bob's Glass by our renter's insurance agent, to replace one, exterior, sliding, patio door, glass pane. First, we had a friend of ours who worked for a glass company for 16 years evaluate the glass and give us an estimate. The glass was Low-E glass and the estimate was around $300. My wife explained this to Bob (the owner), over the phone several times, and our insurance agent put it in the original service request that was sent to Bob's Glass. Bob proceeded to basically call my wife an idiot, and refuse to believe that it was Low-E glass, he insisted it was clear glass WITHOUT EVER COMING OUT TO SEE THE DOOR!!! Then his worker shows up a few days later WITH THE WRONG GLASS!!! This also resulted in me wasting 4 hours of my own time, work, and over 1/2 tank of gas driving to the house to oversee the repair. So Bob's Glass rescheduled for Friday the 13th, to return with the correct glass, to repair the door between 8am-10am. My wife and I don't live at this residence any longer and now live 1.5 hours away, and we both work, so we had to have a friend/neighbor go to the house to oversee the job. Bob's Glass arrived late. Through this whole process Bob the owner of Bob's Glass has remained unapologetic, condescending, and disrespectful. Avoid this company at all costs, I will never use them again, nor recommend them to ANYBODY. STEER CLEAR OF BOB'S GLASS. Original Service date: 07-11-2012 Actual Service Performed: 07-13-2012

After an incident of vandalism cracked a window on my rental property, I had Bob replace the pane, which was framed with wood as part of a larger decorative window on my older rental property. I provided the measurements and got an immediate quote, which was considerably lower than some others. Bob installed the pane on the scheduled date and I was satisfied with the work.

The initial call and set up for an estimate went well. The price for the sliding door (which was 96" tall and had to be special ordered) was better than that at Home Depot or Lowes. Bob had stated I would get the screens in no later than Friday. The following Tuesday, I had not heard anything, so called to check on the status. The screens were delayed but would be in the next day, so I took my lunch break to go there. The service person who came out was courteous and professional. He installed my window screens, but the door screen had apparently been left behind. The door screen came in about a week later. I went home for that installation and they could not hang it because the rail on my door was not standard and the wheels did not go in right. Another week later, they finally got the door installed but the latch does not match up to where the hole in the frame is for the latch. The screen is also not tightly framed, it bows out a bit at the bottom.

It went very well. I called Elk Grove glass. Described the job. They said it would be $150. It would be a week before they could finish it because they had to order safety glass, which state law require if the pane is in a door. I then called Bob's glass. They said it would cost $102.94 and that they would measure the day after the call and install the pane the day after that. I said, "Do it." They measured the next day (called in advance to let me know they were on their way). The day after that they had obtained the safety glass; so they called me and arrived to install exactly when they said they would. They removed the wood stops without damaging them, installed the window, reinstalled the wood stops, and thoroughly cleaned the putty from the window and the wood. They even did a white paint touchup to the window stops. They swept up the glass and did a little floor mop up. They charged me exactly what they said it would be, $102.94. They were courteous and competent.

This company responded quickly. I appreciated that since I could not leave my home with a broken window and feel safe about it. They came out and replaced it well.
