Brian gave me a fair estimate, did the work within days. Everything was done accurately and neatly. Nearly 6 weeks later he came out to answer questions I had and help me with a new leak at no additional charge. Highly recommend.

We bought a new home that has a spa. We don't know anything about spa maintenance and wanted someone to come out, service the spa, and set up a weekly service schedule. Maybe BJs does not work on spas or the job was too small. I don't know, because I called twice and never got a simple call back. Angie, you let me down!

Prior to contacting BJ's Pool Service, we contacted other pool repair providers. After contacting Brian from BJ's, he was willing to take a look within 24 hours and without a service fee for the visit. During the initial visit, Brian discussed our options and even took pictures of our existing pool pump/motor/system to make sure that the proposed options fit in the space of our existing system. Brian was then going to research pump/motors that would work with our current system. Within a day, Brian contacted us with various options including price quotes. We selected a variable speed pool pump/motor that Brian recommended. Comparably, the cost was about up to one-third cheaper than other quotes we received from other pool repair providers. Brian then came as scheduled to install the pump/motor and was done within a couple of hours. During the visit, he also gave us algaecide after noticing algae in our pool in his initial visit and gave us a tip for how to better set up our pool sweep. When he was done, he took care of disposing of our old pump/motor and the packaging for our new pump/motor. It's been two weeks since Brian installed the pool pump/motor and gave us the algaecide and the tips. Thus far, the pool pump/motor is working without a hitch with significantly quieter operations than our old pump/motor at what is hopefully more energy saving levels. Overall, the pool looks better in these two weeks than it has in months. In summary, if you're looking for a responsive, affordable, experienced, knowledgeable pool service and repair man, we'd strongly recommend BJ's Pool Service.

Three day process which they remained at my service throughout while I completed the work. Advised on proper pool settings and chemical usage. Very pleasant experience. I learned to do it all with his guidance. Pool has remained in excellent condition since.

I am really pleased with the service the Brian and his wife and son provided. It was a real family affair. They are really good honest people and were upfront about the services that they could provide and how much it would cost. They got the job done fast and efficiently. I will call them again when I need to get my pool heater installed.

I called BJ's pool serviceand set up an appt for 5-2-2013 between 2 & 4 p.m. Brian was very punctual and called before he came to my house. He was here 20 minutes said the motor was froze up. I asked him for a written estimate on a new one he was unable to give me one but said he would call the next day with an estimate. We discussed how I wanted a larger 2hp motor instead of the 1.5 I currently had. I asked him how much for today's call and did I need to print the coupon from Angie's list, he said no and told me it was $40 I paid him but I was quoted $30 over the phone when setting up the appt. 5-3-2013 Brian called and said the pump would cost me $450 and he was not going to charge me any labor. I asked when he would have the pump he said he had to order it and was hoping it would be in on Monday and he could install it on Tuesday. I told him great and re-affirmed that he would be purchasing the 2hp pump, he stated yes and he would call me before coming out Tuesday to make sure I was home. 5-7-2013 2:15 p.m. I call BJ's and left a msg asking if he was still coming today to install the motor as I havent heard from any one. Approx 3:30 p.m. Brian rings the door bell says he's here to install the motor. I meet him at the side gate and he hauls the box with new motor to the backyard. It says on the box its a 1.5 hp motor! I ask him why when I specifically stated I wanted a 2 hp because of pool size. He tells me new motors are more efficient than the older motors and that a bigger motor wouldn't fit. I know that is not true because I had a 2 hp motor before this one and was told the same line about the efficiency of new motors so I did downsize. It was a huge mistake because I ended up having to run the pump longer. What makes me angry is I looked up the motor that was installed & they are $299 on Amazon. The old motor was left in my driveway, the box the motor came in was left on my back porch all for me to for me to haul off and I had to supply tools that he did not have. The worst part is he left without grounding the motor, telling me that the wire was not long enough and I could go to Lowes get a clamp and wire and hook it to the end of the motor, he did show me where to hook it. He said only commercial pools need to be grounded. A pool is a pool and they should all be grounded according to other company I had to pay to come out and ground the pool. Bottom line I am used to a company that does a complete job, has the correct tools and hauls away misc cleaning up their mess. Brian is a very nice person but unless you want to pay premium price will settle for quick incomplete work and clean up afterwards I would avoid.

They were very nice and professional, but I ended up hiring a family friend for the job.

I have had my old pool service person for about 6 months which I picked up from a reference from a family friend. When he started charging us crazy markups on pool chlorine floaters (268% when I calculated it), it was time to move on. When we found Brian and started his service for cheaper, we could not be more happy. The pool continues to be clear of mold and stay clean and clear, my pump is working 200x better than before because he cleans the filter (which my other guy apparently charged me for and never did). I have a water feature that is three jets of water and it always sprayed up kind of low despite turning up the pressure to them. After one visit by Brian, the jets are working perfeclty and we had to notch them down a bit. Brian knows what he is doing and is punctual as well as profressional. I forsee a long relationship with him, us, and our pool.

Brian fixed my timer (no charge) and a few leaks in my pump (also no charge) before replacing and getting my heat working on my spa for a reasonable price . I work in IT and its nice to see people not charge for some of the ( in their trade ) simpler fixes .

The service was great. I did not think the pool was fixable, and they fixed it right up. He came right out the very next morning after I contacted them. His rates were more than reasonable, and I can tell he's been in the business for a long time. He really knows what he is doing, and he does not try to upsell. I appreciate his honesty, and that he is very straight forward. He is very knowledgeable in his trade, and I would recommend him.

After an initial problem procuring needed fittings, Brian and his son BJ installed the new pool/spa heater in one afternoon. They did a great job of fitting it up, and it's working like a charm. I was so happy with the work that I'm now using them to service my pool weekly.

He called me back right away and knew straight off what the problem was most likely to be. He was spot on! He talked me through how to access the filter basket in the pump (I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't even know there was one), and sure enough, that did the trick. A newbie like me, he could have come out and charged me. Instead he was simply helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be calling him when a *real* problem with the pool comes up!

I called BJ's on a Friday and Brian called back later that day and said he could come out on Saturday. He called me on Saturday and let me know he was on the way. He took a look and quickly fixed the leak. I also had him fix a leaky connection on my booster pump last year. His prices are very reasonable and he does good work. I feel confident that he will not recommend any unnecessary repairs and I will definitely call him if I have any problems with my pool.

I called BJ's Pool Service. My call was answered promptly. I described the problem to Brian. He suggested things I could try to get the filter to operate properly. I tried them but was unable to get the filter to run correctly. I called Brian back, and he agreed to come out and take a look. He doesn't charge for repair estimates. I was unavailable to meet him at my home, so Brian came out to check the filter while I was away. I called him when I returned and he said the filter was operating properly. He did not charge me for his visit, even though I said I felt I should compensate him for his time. BJ's pool service is great!

BJ came to my house promptly to give me a free estimate. He had several suggestions about how to repair the leak. We settled on one. He returned when promised a couple of days later and fixed the leak. Total cost was about $40. Another company I called wanted $80 just to come look at what was wrong!

THIS COMPANY HAS A WONDERFUL PRICE. THE QUALITY OF WORK THAT THEY PERFORM EVERY WEEK IS AMAZING. THIS COMPANY IMPRESSED ME WITH THEIR WONDERFUL POLITENESS AND PROFESSIONALISM.

I LIKE THE WAY MY POOL LOOKS WHEN THEY'RE FINISHED. MY POOL LOOKS AND FEELS VERY NICE AND CLEAN. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR A WHILE AND I DON'T THINK THAT I WILL BE USING ANYONE ELSE IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
