They did what they could but when the job required more work I decided to let my son do it.

It is a family owned business. It was not an emergency as we had a different restroom that we could use. I was out of town when they did the job but my wife was here. They got on the job the next day and got the drain cleared and did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves and it was a positive experience.

The problem was fixed at no cost to us. What more can you ask for ? :-)

The repairman showed up within an hour of our call. The sewer problem was cleared up in 20 minutes, and the faucet repair in another 15 minutes. Serviceman was very pleasant and very efficient. Price seemed very fair. Price included a coupon from Angie's List.

I chose them because they were on the top of Angie's List. Armstrong Plumbing did a great job. I have washed clothes since then and I have never had any problems, leaks or over-flows. I did not do a lot of comparison shopping but I think they came in on the low side of pricing for this type of job.

I found this company from angieslist and decided to have them come out to give me an estimate for a smell coming from under the house, which was assumed to be a leaking drain pipe from the kitchen. I believed that they would come out, look at the problem and give me an estimate. Since they advertise that they give free estimates, that is what I expected, a free estimate. Apparently we have different definitions of free estimate, as I have now had to pay $90 for my free estimate because they had to "diagnose" the problem. I had to pay because they told me it was being sent to collections if I did not pay in the next couple days. Mind you, this was to get in the crawlspace under the house, shine a flashlight at the pipe, come back up and tell me how much it would cost. Less than 1/2 hour. I would not have considered the company to have performed any service, but since they charged me a diagnosis fee, apparently they do. Furthermore, the estimate they gave me was a joke. $1850 to replace approximately 15' of cast iron pipe with ABS and clean up the spilled kitchen sink water. Needless to say, I did not use this company for the repair. I had a different company do it, which cost me $325. Beware of the "Free" estimate and you may want to shop around.

I spent $700 on that work. The job went well. They always send the same person out. They have been here before. Even when we call the office, they know who we are.

I was interested in and AO Smith hot water heater and saw Armstrong Plumbing listed as a vendor. I found them on Angie's list and saw a number of positive reports. I went by their shop and spoke with estimator Milton Vance who provided me with a written estimate the next day. Once I responded by e-mail to accept the estimate I was called to set-up and appointment for the installation. The installer Peter and electrician Greg Sconce (needed a plug added for unit) both arrived on time and the entire job was completed in just over two hours. They were both friendly and professional and I am very satisfied with the job.

Jake was my service man. What a great guy! Called to let me know he was running late, not once but twice. Installing this faucet was difficult due to the cramped conditions under the sink, but he accomplished it with no problem. I will never use any other plumbing company other than Armstrong! This is about the fifth time I've used them for various repair issues, and every time the servicemen were pleasant, helpful, resourceful (I've have an older home so the easy fixes are hard to come by), punctual (or if they weren't always let me know they were running late), and professional. An easy appointment every time. Highly recommended.

Our tenants called us with a plumbing emergency on a Thursday evening while we were not home. Armstrong had great Angie's List ratings so we called them and they were on the scene within an hour. They dealt with the immediate problem of the clog very efficiently and professionally. They were forced by the house's lack of a flushout drain to cut into the concrete walkway and access the main line, which they did with utmost care. Peter kept us apprised of exactly what he was finding and what needed to be done, as well as what it would cost. They returned a few days later at a scheduled time to complete the job by installing a flushout drain so the problem will not recur. They also gave an Angie's List discount which really helped out since we weren't expecting the expense. They are absolutely great!

This is my second experience with Armstrong and I would definitely use them again. The job was done efficiently, the service rep was very professional. He also checked out a possible leak in my dishwasher and determined that it was an applicance problem, not a plumbing problem. Good service and much appreciated.

in less than 20 minutes the corroded hex metal was replaced with a brass hex drain line was cleaned out in 30 minutes, a repeat call was needed and the service man arrived that day, and the drain has never worked better.

Mark arrived promptly (15 minutes into the 2-hour service call window) and was very professional and courteous. I felt that the work, quality and professionalism of this company (and my 10% Angie's List discount) were distinct enough for them to become my go-to plumber in the future.

They did a real good job over the phone and when they came out they actually did the work for less than the estimate and they had to do some extra work so I was very impressed. They did a great job. The quality was great and they even arrived early. They answered their phone. Their customer service was surprising good especially when I only got answering machines at the other places I called.

Armstrong Plumbing broke two appointments with no notice to us. Very unprofessional and unreliable. No respect for the custimer's time.

I am very pleased with the service. Jacob arrived promptly with Marc (they needed 2 guys because over the phone I told them that a plumber several years ago used the vent up on the roof to clear the line.) I wasn't sure where the clean-outs where. Jacob was very friendly and professional. I have an older home and the plumbing has been neglected for years, but Jacob was able to quickly figure out the problem. They worked fast and the clog was cleared. The bathroom sink still didn't clear (it had been draining slow for months). I had to leave and reschedule. Jacob came back later and cleared the sink. Now it drains perfectly. Jacob is very knowlegable and kind. They even called my to make sure everything is going well. I will definitely call them again.

I got them off Angie's List. I was very happy with them. They were professional and on time. They did what I asked them to do in a reasonable time frame.

George, the plumber, showed-up as scheduled and I explained the problem that I was having with the drains. He quickly surveyed the situation and promptly started his work, explaining what he was going to to and what he was looking for and doing. He started with the main line out to the sewer, which I had no idea where it was located, and determined that the cause was not there. He then proceded to the shower where he found the cause (some baby wipes) and quickly cleared the line. He cleaned-up the areas where he was working and was finished fast and I was surprised at the low cost of the bill.

On Thanksgiving morning, dinner preparations were in full swing when the drain to our kitchen sink and bathroom shower suddenly backed up due to a few too many potato peals down the disposal. I called Armstrong without hesitation, as they'd helped us out of a few binds before and had always been great. The dispatcher told me my plumber would be Jake, and would be there within an hour and a half or so. Jake showed up in under 45 minutes, and could not have been a nicer, more friendly guy. He got to work right away, quickly assessed the problem, and had the drain cleared in about 20 minutes. He was careful to use minimal force with the drain snake so as to protect our 60 year old pipes. Of course this being Thanksgiving, there was a holiday rate, so this wasn't all that cheap, but it was worth the cost to have the problem go away so quickly and easily. They came promptly and Peter fixed the problems quickly and accurately and I appreciated the fact that he took the time to explain what the problem was so we would understand the issues involved. Great service!

Called on the afternoon of 11/8/2010 and was able to schedule an appointment for the following morning. Peter arrived promptly at 9 am and completed the repairs in approximately 40 minutes. He was polite, professional, and very efficient. A good experience from beginning to end.

Got 3 Angie's List bids to install a gas line for my grill. Armstrong came at the lowest cost for like work & scheduled a date. The work was outstanding & the installers were professional, efficient & informative. The permit inspector even commented on the superior work quality. Another good experience from an AL provider.

I contacted Armstrong Plumbing after joining "Angie's List" to install 2 pop-up drains in the bahrooms. I was told that the labor would outweigh the installation of the drains. I was told that I should use bleach to try and clear the drains. The P-traps of either of the 2 bathroom sinks was undone to clear the hair, etc., I have unscrewed both P-traps before to clear out any debris. Since that time, I have had 3 Cervical surgeries and cannot be in that position. Thus, I called a Plumber. I am very dissatisfied as to virtually NO WORK was performed, except repairing a leaky shower and I was charged the initial $90.00 plus another $90.00 to unscrew and screw tighter the shower stem.

Peter arrived on time, found the leak and repaired it within 1.5 hrs.
